May she rest in peace.... She loved this song herself. She spent hours into talking Ike to play this song when they were still performing in duo.... she said "Proud Mary is happy times for me".... I LOVE HER...... QUEEN OF ROCK N' ROLL!!
Tina Turner is Simply the Best!!! I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to see Tina perform i the early 80's. Now you'll finally get a chance to rest Tina, R.I.P. ♥
I saw Tina live twice (same month). Couldn't get enough. This was supposed to be her last tour but she toured again in 2008. I saw her in Boston with Joe Cocker and then in Montreal with Lionel Richie. Both shows were just mind blowing. The energy that lady had at that age was just amazing.
The one and only. I saw her in concert in Cincinnati and we thought the concert was over. She left the stage and it got quiet and it was at an amphitheater and we were just starting to get up from our blankets and this big announcement came on the loudspeakers. " Where are you people going? Did you think the show was over? What is the matter with you? I haven't done Mary yet!". And she came on stage after performing for almost 2 hours and did 25 minutes of Proud Mary in heels and dance crazy all over the place. It was fabulous
I was lucky to see Tina Live in 2009 when she was almost 70; celebrating her 50th anniversary....you really need to react to Steamy windows or Help from that show....amazing performances!! ❤️🙌
90,000 capacity and that mug is packed... She's 60 or 61 here I believe and Tina's concerts always sold out to the very end and here's a prime example why, first off, she sounds AMAZING live, second, her performances, they were always high energy and top tier and she loved her fans dearly and was a performer and entertainer through and through and loved doing it.. truly, when you attended a Tina Turner concert, you got a Tina Turner experience ❤❤ great reaction. Fly High Tina.. #theoriginalproudmary
What a fantastic performance. She's been doing this song since at least the early 70s, including the intro. I had it on Ike and Tina Live, which I got around 1972.
Watching the Queen of Rock put on a ahow like that, and having your beautiful face with that gorgeous smile on the screen too, is like taking a vaction in Utopia.
I highly recommend you check out her live performance of Nutbush, Better Be Good To Me, Simply The Best, Addicted to Love all from the same One Last Time concert at Wembley. Her band and dancers are so incredible the way they support her during every song and perform so magnificently while she goes offstage to get changed for the next set! So much love for Tina ❤
Anybody remember the Ike and Tina Turner Revue days? She was on fire FOR REAL back then, Lol Her dancers, the Ikettes were nuclear! Ike was....just Ike.❤ Thanks for the memories HBK Luke.
There are some fabulous videos of Tina with Mic Jagger. State if Shock, It’s Only Rick and Roll and all of the Rock and Roll hall of Fame performances.
You should watch the original Ike & Tina version. Fogarty thanked Tina for covering his song! It was a hit for CCR then Ike & Tina Turner. But this does show she still had it into her 60s!!
My girlfriend and I were behind the guy attempting to sing the Song..Unbennounced to him we were dancing and gyrating behind him! Damn! Did we have Fun!! And of course my name is Mary!!
RIP to a true LEGEND and ICON! I'm forever grateful to have grown up on her music as a kid in the 80s. She was a huge inspiration to so many, especially women. As a DV survivor, Tina helped me find the courage and strength to escape or I might not be here today. The Queen of Rock and Roll will live on through her music and incredible story. I love her so much ❤
If you're honoring great female artists, my own favorites are Bessie Smith, Billie Holliday and Mahalia Jackson. They each shaped American music in their own ways.
I. Could never managed to get a crew together so have totally missed out, as this was definitely her last tour. Not like Cher who has some many comeback tours. I think live performances are definitely over for Tine. I love how she rolls best over since she went solo and divorced Ik"the e. See the movie 'What love.... Famously she settled in one negotiate she only wanted to continue use Turner as her stage name and record every thing. The rest of the terrible times of apartments..
she wears a similar dress when she does her duet it's only love with bryan adams. the coreo was close to the one i've seen when she was with ike. she did all that in heels wow.although kylie is always in heels so i expect her to be dancing in heels when she hits 60 too😄
I saw Ike and Tina review. Then years later saw Tina on her own twice. What a concert she put on!! Loved her on her own. A waste of space was Ike. Piece of shit. She still suffered ptsd when she retired and was one of her reasons to retire.
