What a great and inspiring bio. Fascinating. Proud of his humble origins. If you haven't been to Newcastle. I highly recommend it. It's beautiful, as it's friendly people. I was shocked. It has a positive buzz about it, and reminds me of another fantastic city, Liverpool. People seem to be proud of their city, and now I know why. I lived in Wallsend mid 80s to early 90s by which time the shipyard was dying. It’s gone now. It might sound a bit strange but l think everyone felt his presence. Interestingly Kate Pierson from the B52s worked behind the bar in a pub in Wallsend at one point. Maybe they should collaborate, perhaps with Sam Fender from nearby North Shields and even Bryan Ferry who hails from nearby too. There must be something in the water or perhaps there is a secret Frankenstein lab where they build Geordie rockstars.
