I watch this movie for the first time in 22 years last night, and when they rolled the credits, this song absolutely captivated me . , I’ll never understand why they didn’t start the movie with it, and use the Melody in the score . It’s absolutely brilliant, and should’ve definitely got the Oscar that year. Stings genius really shines through on this one.

Sting is the greatest artist of all...I fell in love with this song after I heard it on the 'kate and Leopold ' soundtrack...only Sting can do this..impressive.

As an older guy I can tell you by experience, time is precious and should be spent following both the heart & the head, neither has monopoly on how life should be lived. I totally agree with you. I have been listening to STING since 1992. I listened to his version of Fragile and got stuck to it. The performance, singing and arrangement were just awesome. Since then, I analyze his songs and by this I improve my arrangement skills and chord-selection skills. I didn't directly take any classes from him but his compositions are good school for me. my grandmother went to see this movie in theaters and fell in love with it, and never saw it again. i just heard about this, and for her birthday this month she will be getting it on blu ray, compliments of me :)
It's truly a fantastic song, and a great video. It's so poetic and full of lovely thoughts and images. I think this is Sting's best song and probably highly underrated. "In the moonlight and everything shatters, you feel as if youve known her all your life"
I've seen his television specials that were on A&E (All this time, Send one your love) and what was interesting was his approach to songwriting. He is truly one of the best and I too became a fan of his right from the very beginning.

Yeah it is a very romantic film. Yet you dont see Jackman or Ryan liking each other till like an hour and 20 minutes into the film. Criminally underrated film
