Hi Andy, it's Andy here from South Africa. This rifle is sold here as a Artemis LR700W. I got one for my 13yr old son for his birthday a year back, he loves it. He puts pellets through the same hole at 15m regularly with open sights, and that is straight out of the box without adjustments! I join him with my Webley Rebel pump action and we have great fun. Thank you very much for all of your great reviews. Your review site is a 1st go to for me whenever I'm looking for our next purchase, brilliant stuff, keep on reviewing.

Andy, love your channel. This is exactly like the Sheridan Blue Streak (5mm) I purchased, as a young man, 40+ years ago, and still have , by the way. I will say that, after repeated use, it does get much easier to fill. (The gun doesn’t get easier, your arms get stronger and used to it). I used to throw 6 pumps in it in a heart beat. Now would be a different story. Good thing PCP’s came along. One major difference between this and a springer is, there is NO recoil at all. If you are not fond of that springer jolt, this may be a consideration to try.
@sergentcolon1
@sergentcolon1 Год назад
Seems to be a bit of a pain to use to be honest, I think I’d spend the same amount on a springer, there are plenty available for around the same price or less.

Nigel, I love shooting metal silhouettes in my garage. But by keeping velocity down, I can keep pellets from slattering and making more of a mess. Pumpers are great for this, and most guns in .177 don't splatter the pellet until you get to 3 or 4 pumps, so a pumper is perfect. Also the paint of the silhouettes has no chance when you get to 4 or 5 pumps.
@briandix216

Don't see the point of a multi shot mag on this pumper. Plus too labour intensive and noisy for a hunter. Better off with a pr900 !

I own several pump guns from Sheridan, Benjamin and Crosman. There's nothing like a good pump gun for taking small game at short to medium range. Accuracy is unmatched at this price range. As a twelve year old with a Sheridan Blue Streak I built a ton of muscle that first summer and took a bunch of squirrel and rabbit for the gumbo pot. I still have that 1973 Blue Streak BTW, a few reseals along the way have kept it at peak power and accuracy. They really don't make them like that anymore. I'd buy one of these given the chance just to add it to my arsenal.

My comment above is in reference to my Sheridan Blue Streak 5mm, then later, my Benjamin which must have been built on the Sheridan patent, but in 22 cal. As you well know, both are deadly accurate, and powerful enough to take raccoons with 🙂

In 1995 I bought a Benjamin Pump in .22 as I thought it would be nice to have something with no spring. It needed 10 pumps, and you got 2 shots. One full power, and the other greatly reduced. It was better to fire the one shot, then top up with more pumps. The novelty quickly wore off, and it sat in my rifle rack for years with the occasional check to see if it was still working, or show someone it. In 2017 I gave it away for free. Don't miss it. You could get 5 shots plus out of a break barrel in the time it took to get the first one out of the Benjamin.

I can see this being more popular in America, as the multi pump pneumatic guns are just much more popular over there but most budget options are plastic and pot metal. Yes it isn't as practical as a springer, gas ram, c02 or pcp. But there are some people in the UK that love Crosman, Benjamin, Daisy or Sharp pump ups. So good on Stinger or whoever imports these for trying something different.

If you can brace the muzzle end against something, pumping will be easier and more controlled. I had a Sheridan blue streak 5mm as a young lad. I currently have a Crossman 22 of the same type. Sheridan made a scope mounting piece that clamps onto the rifled barrel but you have to be careful not to tighten it too much. Both the Sheridan and Crossman take up to eight pumps. The hard part is feeding pellets into the loading area ahead of the bolt. I invented a device, using a soft plastic sheet material, like that used for totes or a laundry basket, and holes cut with a ticket punch. The device is a centimeter wide and ten long with the punch holes on one edge. The holes are cut into make gaps with an exacto knife so that they will hold the pellets firmly. Then it is a simple task to place each round in the loading area, strip the pellet off with the bolt end and into the breach.

Looks like Diana stormrider with an integrated pump. There is also Trailscout for those who don't want to pump neither a cartrige nor every shot.

This may be a silly question but here we go. Would this air rifle be good for a bell target starter rifle in 177 just using two pumps to get around 5 to Six foot pounds. Or would a HW 30 springer be a better option?

Interesting review, but I don't see the advantage of this pump up air rifle over a budget springer ?

Great review as always but struggling to see why anyone would buy one. Nostalgia for those who like pump guns but with break barrels, Co2, PCP etc can’t see them selling many but I’m no expert.

Theyve never took off for good reason, the effort required when you can just go full hog pneumatic.

6 pumps - is it possible and does it stay legal? (Does it have a built in relief valve?) - Great review as always!

Probably last longer with a couple of pumps left in it to keep seals intact when not in use

Finally a affordable airgun. I lost my interest on all airguns that are above 1k. Even the €€€€ BSa. We need more vids about

Think of it as a very independent hunting rifle, how many rounds do you actually let off on a long walk n stalk? You could take that all over place and always have a full power recoiless shot. Like it
