I've been following Tsem Rinpoche's teachings for a few months now; and spend most of my free time watching/readings on Dharma and how it can help everyone. I'm so very happy that so many teachings are free and so generously available online :D Kind of makes me wish I had cultivated more merits to have come across his teachings earlier.
Making offerings is a very extensive practice which can give us lots of good qualities like generosity, gratitude, humility and inner peace through collecting merits and purifying our negativity. But first we need to set up an altar with representations of the body speech and mind of a Buddha and make sure its spanking clean always !
'Ignorance', 'hatred' and 'desire' sums up samsara perfectly. I can't even imagine the awkward, annoying and plain out cringy moments His Eminence must have faced - whenever he came in contact with all the Ss, Rs and Ps in the world. Especially as he has so much compassion that he can put up with it without cracking. That's real endurance.
