Finally! After a long while trying to solve several issues with the Stinson L-1's engine performance, we finally got the chance to take her out for a test flight. Check out the clip and see if we have things figured out.
What a lovely aircraft this is and the way it took off with that STOL climb out ! Kermit you have the very best guys looking after your treasures and this gem is no exception,we could see how pleased you were with the way she flys, and that radial sounds fantastic, hope that you get to enjoy her flying again soon.
Mr. Weeks, I"m working my way through all your videos during quarantine and they're helping me so much. Thanks you! Looking forward to ACT 3! English is not my native language!
Wow Kermit what an A/C! You came off the ground like a home sick angel! Beautiful aircraft, it is larger than I had thought - I thought it was more the size of the Bird Dog. Thanks again!
Great video. Any pilot understands your delight in seeing the machine working as it should. Night and say! It must be during moments like these, that it all seems 'worth it'.
Yeah, please take the Kermie Cam inside that plane! I use to watch these Stinsons fly over my house when I was a kid, then I'd ride my bicycle over to Owens Field in Columbia to watch em' land.
Great videos mr Weeks! 2 things to consider in your future releases. 1) Increase the resolution of your videos to 1080p. 2) Bring back the Kermie cam. Greetings from Cyprus :)
Ideally we could have the Kermie Cam and simultaneously show exterior shots... ...that's the way I'd like it anyway. Thanx for another great vid and... cheers
Behind every rich millionaire collector are a bunch of dedicated talented folks working to keep things going. Am hoping guys like kermit & leno pay their people well. Hey can i borrow the plane or car for a hot date? 🙄
Hi Kermie, have your guys checked the compression pressure and exhaust temp and cyl head temp and exhaust pulse signature on all the cylinders? Still doesn't sound as if it is running 100% to me. [but then I have only been listening to Aero Engines for six decades]
