@@OTDefense how did you do that? I've been thinking about stippling just to put fjb on a frame, but I was just going to do raised lettering and stipple around it.
I just got the basket weave tip today. Thanks I have my 19x getting milled for the Trijicon coyote rmr now with the bronze timney trigger. I can’t wait til I get it all finished. Like a kid at Christmas 😂
Bought the 20 lpi kit a while ago and they work great. How often do you recommend replacing the tips? I've done five frames total so far and was planning to buy more regardless but just wanted your opinion.
Depends on the frames you are stippling, as higher glass content (think SIG/Magpul) can wear them out faster. 5-6 Glock frames generally for the 'finer tips' like the 20LPI, but a Wagon wheel should go longer because it does not have the smaller points. Generic shape the like Oval tip longer still. Of course if you see changes in the texture that is giving you different results that you are not happy with compared to the 1st couple times you used it I would toss it.
I'd recommend you visit our website and check out the current grip index. Some tips have been added, some discontinued since this video, so that will be the best way to select what you need. Just look for the Red color high numbers on the Grip index!
Could you do a couple videos showing how you stipple using the carry tip and the arrow head tip? Really curious on how to get the cleaner looking border! Love your videos btw! Just finished watching them all amd can’t wait to get enough practice to do my own.
I can put that on the to do list- you'll just need to go slow against the edges and for the arrowhead keep the heat high for a crisper imprint. Give us a call if you have any questions in the meanwhile. 541-566-6908
@@OTDefense hey I actually did already. Was digging the arrowhead. But if a different tip gives better texture I’ll choose it. I saw some Said moderate grip but I didn’t want to click on everything.
@@GrimJaw When you look at the Grip Index, it has every tip listed as 1-10. 10 being most aggressive. Just look through the ones that are 7+ and pick your flavor
One or two, not more then 50 though... Had customers do a better job then I do today on their first run though! Not the norm, most folks take quite a bit of practice
