Hi! I would say any kind of paper, like regular printer paper would already do it. But you might want to check, that the paper doesn't soak up the media you're using, for example ink from a felt tip or fountain pen, as your dot's wouldn't be clear or totally wild. And I would say, preferably have paper with a smooth surface!
