sw200, great lume, perfect size, solid build...... what's not to like? If you can get over the homage part this watch could make a great option. stirlingtimepieces.com
Tried on the IWC Mark xx... man that thing is a beauty! And feels good and solid on the wrist. Big but thin.... and so legible Saving for this on a new steel bracelet when that comes out!
Can't really say copy. Pilot style watches are just a standard type of watch at this stage. The Stirling is a very nice one. It's quite big, but with at 8" wrist, the long lug to lug to isn't a problem. Excellent review. And just subscribed. First time I've seen your video!
Really want to add an IWC to the collection, have been seriously looking at the big pilot 43 blue dial on the bracelet. That bracelet is an engineering masterpiece, it would be great if you could get one of these in for review.
Hamilton field automatic mate. Do you say it’s a 40mm? Looks like a 42 mm . The hammy comes in 38 or 42 . By the way I love the iwc spitfire, but very expensive, that’s why I love Hamilton
Andrew!! Hope you’re well mate. I own a couple of Micro Brands with some Zelos thrown in. These aren’t quite copy’s of anything though I don’t think and I don’t mind them. I wear them often whilst I’m working. This one, we’ll, hmm, meh…? It’s getting hard to please me though these days.
I've been looking at pilot watches lately, this one seems good, maybe a little long on the lug to lug. How do you think the Borealis Icarus or the SWC super G compare?
Needs to be at least 100m water resistant. 200 would be great and easily achievable. Option for white second hand. Then it will beat IWC hands down. Glad to see a standard crown, not a fan of the onion style. Most luxury over priced. Nice look need the extras to be over the top . IMHO
Great review Andrew 👍 love the watch, just a couple of small things on the dial but otherwise great 👍 Stirling lettering is to large and at the bottom of the dial better of just( Swiss )
My only gripe would be an onion crown and 100 metres water resistancy. Thats nitpicking at its best. Love the IWC watches, but, very expensive and if you want heritage then Laco or Stowa for sensible prices of a flieger type A. Five hundred pounds with the Sellita movement is excellent. Great video again Andrew as always.
I own a mark 18 iwc and it's my favourite watch, I've owned Rolex, Omega etc and the iwc is number 1 for me, there's just summat about iwc and the way they make a simple design look amazing. This Stirling watch is a copy of the mk 18, I don't like the text as it's too long, I personally would buy a Hamilton khaki as its the best watch under £500 and stay away from copycats 😀.
Yeah it’s okay but does not look like it has any anti reflective coating under the crystal. Then there is the lack of water resistance too, one too many minute tracks and the logo text looks a bit naff. All of which I could forgive if it was £300 but not £500, much more choice from other more well established micro brands soz. Plus you could save some more pennies and by a proper German brand fleiger if that’s your thing. Wait a minute a Laco might even cost you less! 🤷♂️
