Thank you for the stitch pillow tutorial. I made it and brought it to my sewing group. The members were very impressed with how comfortable they were when using it. some have decided to make it.
Hi Anna, me again 😉! As I was stitching this afternoon, I was thinking I could sure use a pillow. And all of a sudden, I remembered that you had shown how to make a great one years ago but since I wasn’t a stitcher then I hadn’t made it. I’m so glad I still have some brain cells left to remember and that your video was still available. Yes, I’ve been watching you and G that long. Thank you for all you share!!! ☺️
I find you fascinating and love your projects. At this time I am busy making two wall hangings: 1) by Hatched and Patched entitled, Dancing chickens and flying Pigs and the other 2) is by Pin & Proper called "Beware it's Halloween!. Now you can understand my need for the Stitch Pillow. I forward to making this stitching aide. Thank you very much. Sincerely, Linnell Kunavich ( Yes, I did purchase them from the Midway Wool Company.) -----Happy Mother's Day!--------
I love seeing quilt shops in your videos. I drool because there are none in my immediate area any more. I'm glad to can travel again. Be safe. Happy anniversary to you and G.
I made one of these pillows a few years back and just love it. I was showing it to a friend and she wanted the pattern. So I went looking for the video again. While watching, my 5 mold granddaughter was in my lap. She kept leaning over to give you kisses. She must have like the pillow too. I hope all is well with you and yours.
I really like your pillow and it looks so fun to make I have never seen any pillows like it.Thank you so much for the awesome tutorial. I want to learn to do cross stitch and I'm sure the pillow will be great to stitch on.Now I need to go shopping for fabric.Thank you so much for sharing..Stay safe and take care.
Anna! I love this pillow! We just purchased a travel trailer and I was doing all sorts of combination of pillows for my stitching in the truck! Ugh... Nothing was comfortable.😉. Now I made a pillow for me from your fantastic directions. Thank you, Thank you! I think I will make one for my friend, who is also a x-stitcher.😊. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for the directions for the stitch pillow. I have made 4 of them, plus many mini ones as pin cushions. We have sold them at our quilt shows and many by word of mouth. Thanks again. Keep up the good work that you and G are doing.
I just started to learn embroidery and was already starting to put the needle on my lap every time xD I thought I would need something like a sewing cushion. I’m glad I found your video ! I hope I will succeed to make it as I’m totally NEW to the sewing world and don’t have a sewing machine (don’t even know how it works). This cushion form is so cute, I hope to have one soon made from my own hands, thanks ! 😊
Can’t wait to make a stitch pillow. Your tutorial was very well done and enjoyable. I’ve been watching your RU-vid videos about a year now and they are so relaxing to watch. Thank you for your time. Elaine from Virginia Beach.
What a cute helper your faaaancy stitch pillow is! Thank you for the tutorial and explaining how we can take care of our bodies sew they can play longer. "Camp like a girl" reminds me of my honeymoon, half of which was spent camping in the California redwoods, where I discovered that my shiny new husband required electricity for his blow dryer, to keep his Farrah Fawcett hairstyle perfect! We've come a long way in the 35-1/2 years since then.
I have been using a pillow fo hand stitching for years, but when a friend made one of yours I had to give it a try! Fun to make and so nicely supportive ! It is a winner ...thanks so much for sharing this!
Well. . .You have just given me my Christmas gift ideas!!. . I am also imagining placing a zipper pocket on the back. for supplies. .and for little sleepover surprises.. .Thinking little grandkids will love them as well as my sewing friends!!! Thank you!!!
My friend and I just came home from a stitch retreat. It was wonderful. Some had one of your stitching pillows and I remember that I had watched your video's on how to make one. So I looked it up again and I have now made two. One for my friend and I for our next stitchy day together. Thanks Anna.
Hi Anna. So pleased I found your RU-vid channel. We do a lot of travels around Australia in our caravan and I had bought similar material that reminded me of our first caravan. I have now made myself the stitching pillow. Love handwork and now fascinated with wool embroidery. You make me smile with every episode. Thank you 😍
Awww, thanks...I love to make people smile :) I love camping so if I can combine my two favorite things stitching and camping I am a happy camper, LOL...especially if I can do those things with my 2 favorites G and Enzo!
Just found your tutorial for this stitching pillow, we have a camper that I ALWAYS pack with sewing projects when we travel with it, and I will be making one of your stitching pillows to bring along on our adventures. There is nothing I love more than traveling and crafting in the camper, always in a lovely and inspiring setting, no housework waiting to be done, just eat, sleep, explore, and make art! Thanks for sharing!
I made one of these several years ago. I have a triangular pocket sewn on one corner to hold my spool of thread and scissors. There's also a skinny ribbon sewn into one side seam in case you'd rather tie your scissors on. I want to make some more so looked for a tutorial and found yours. Thanks for the refresher course!
I just found your videos last night and now I'm binge watching! My husband and I also have an RV and camp some. When I retire we hope to do a lot more camping and quilting! Love following you guys.
I am so glad you found us!!! We are swamped right now...G is editing my video from the Empty Spools workshops but come Thursday we hit the road again!!! yahoo!!!
As soon as I saw this....while having my morning coffee...I knew I needed to make one! I went to joanns, got all the stuff and wallah! I have a sewing pillow. These are so cute! Thanks for the tutorial :)
What a wonderful tutorial!! My husband and I are heading out next week on an adventure from North Carolina to Sisters and BendI will make this pillow for stitching in the car before we head out!! Can’t wait to visit all the quilting and cross stitch stores! And maybe have an “Anna siting” at the coffee shop or The Stitching Post! I love, love, love all your utubes for Quilt Roadies and Floss tube! You bring such joy to me and I’ve learned so much from you. I share and am so inspired by your love of stitching!!!!
My husband and I will be in Bend on October 9, 10 and 11 and plan to make several trips to Sisters! I can’t believe you responded 😊 and we might be able to meet! I’m a long time cross stitcher and have an amazing thread storage system idea and a way to set up threads for a project that I’d love to share with you. I’m so excited! Let me know if it will work out!
That is really cool. I will have to share how to do this with my other American Sewing Guild friends. This has been another fun evening/wee hours watching you while I knit on my project. Safe travels! Becky in NC
Hi Anna! I’m a fairly new Quilt Roadies and Woolie Mammoth follower and boy, have I learned a lot from your tutorials! I am now the proud owner of my very own stitch pillow and you.’re right, it really helps make handwork more comfortable. I shared it with one of my stitch groups and will be demonstrating it at a meeting in October. You probably have some new followers since I showed it off! Wool work has become a new love and all your beautiful projects are so inspiring. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and projects you work on.
I am so happy to hear it...how ever we can share to keep us all stitching longer, LOL!!! Wool is definitely my first love but truly I am addicted to a lot of different genres...oh brother have I got to get stitching!
Thank you very much for the stitch pillow tutorial! I was very excited when I saw you had added the video! You are such a pleasure to be with! I enjoy your tutorials so much! Very helpful and you brighten my day!🌞 Off to make a pillow!
Anna, watching your Floss Tube has inspired me to go back to a stitching craft I have not done since being a teenager! My Oma was an incredible embroiderer and I did cross stitch when visiting her...she always wanted me to keep stitching! So....with watching you....here I go again. As I wait for my first kit to arrive (I am not brave enough to kit myself😅)....I am making a stitch pillow to prepare! Thank you for this....all of it!
Since I started my first EPP hexie quilt last month to use up all the scraps from sewing face masks, I’m usually sitting on my couch near a bright lamp. I watched one of your recent camping videos and thought...oh my! A stitching pillow? I can use one of these! Thank you so much Anna! My pillow and my project pouches will go everywhere with me. Even if I don’t go anywhere🤣 Going to start mine now!
Just found you. You are hilarious. I love your video. I will definitely make one of these pillows. And I will watch all your videos. Thanks for sharing.
Oh, I love this lap pillow!!!!! Such a clever way to sew it together. Thank you for this lesson, I know what I will be making tomorrow....I just have to go buy the fusible batting. Anna 💕, I talked to so many people this week that LOVE you and can't wait to see your next video. I look forward to them too. Love the adorable fabric....I want that too!
It really is a fun way to put it together😀. I am so happy to hear there are others who are checking in on the videos! Thank you for spreading the word!
Anna you are the very best. I made my pillow and I take it every where I go. You have been so helpful in many ways. I live here in Oregon, on the coast, not too far from Sisters. In fact my niece lives there, so when I come over to take a class from you I can stay at her place. I can’t wait, I love your personality and look forward in meeting you. Stitch on!
Anna, I just sewed your stitching pillow! Getting ready to stuff this baby! Thanks for teaching on this. Appreciate all you do. I have been following Ariane Zurcher here on you tube with her stitching/embroiderer videos, and Sue Spargo 90 day stitch along. I need this pillow badly as I round my shoulders and bend head forward so hope this will help! Thanks again! Stay well, stitch on!
I will be stitching up a stitching pillow just like yours. I just recently started back to cross stitching after 15 years of quilting. This pillow will certainly come in handy. I am so happy that you shared your tutorial on this pillow. I do appliqué and EPP and I know it will help with the neck and shoulder pain. Thank you ever so much!!🐿😘
Finally went back to this video and made myself a stitch pillow! So happy with the results...started using it immediately. I stuffed it as tightly as I could and it's nice and firm. Now I am thinking about friends who could use one. A fun project to do in an afternoon.
I just made myself a stitching pillow with some cute Tula Pink Homemade fat quarters! Thank you for this tutorial. It is a wonderful stitching helper. I think I’ll make another one for my sister!
So glad I found this video. I’m working on an English Paper Pieced quilt and my neck is really feeling it. I haven’t been using anything for support. I take that back, I rest my elbows on my nice cushy tummy lol
I am so enjoying this tutorial, I can’t wait until our Joann’s is open again to get some fabric. I used every bit of fabric I had to make masks. I can’t wait to shop for fabric again! Thanks Anna
My wonderful quilter (long arm professional), cross stitcher and wool stitcher daughter from Illinois came to visit last week (Az) and she made me this pillow with a pattern very much like this. It is the best helper for my wool stitching. Thank you Anna for showing her! We both love your videos. P.S.. Monica says you may come to Ole World Quilt shop and teach a class. I want to be there if you do!
I saw your floss tube #5 and you talked about the stitching pillow. I had never seen this pillow before. Thanks for sharing the tutorial on how to make it. Can't wait to give it a try. Thanks.
Anna, I love your videos! You are so much fun and you really inspire me to get creative! I am a new quilter and I live in a small mountain town in Northern AZ. Winter is coming and I will be spending it in my sewing room😁
I always get so excited when I see a new video from you !!! ( wonderful videographer also)!! I just adore this little pillow and I suppose I wasn't good at math- I can't wrap my head around looking at angles and things like this...'always looks hard ! (To me). You make it so simple and doable! Thank you! I learn much better by "watching" than reading a pattern. I'm so excited for our next road trip! ;)
Anne you crack me up! Wool or thread or Candy.....hahaha Thank you so much for making this pillow. I have backaches everyday. I hope making this will help.
Anna, I've been following you for about a year and have finally made one of these biscornu pillows. I quilted each side with some of my machine's "fancy" stitches: needle & thread, thread spool, and scissors. I used your 15" dimension and managed to stuff in an 18" pillow form. It'll get it's first workout tonight. I'm looking forward to my next guild meeting's show & tell and I'll be sure to credit you.
One question: why do you say this relieves neck, shoulder, and arm pain? It makes sense to me and I do find it more comfortable but I couldn't find anything specific addressing this on the interweb.
thank you so much for this video, I have just made mine, I added pockets on 3 corners, I should of made them bigger but I know for next time. it was my first time at free motion quilting, but my machine broke so I have to finish it of using my treadle machine, I don't know how to free motion on that yet so I am going to have a play with it,
Love this pillow. I made one today. Thank you also for the demonstration for the light box. Me Sew is very close to where I live. I ordered one today. You inspire me to quilt and learn more.
Can't wait to get started! I was inspired by one of the ladies in my English Paper Piecing group and have been feverishly searching for how-to articles, video, ... This stitch pillow will keep me organized and help me avoid dropping & losing needles. A plus is how it will affect my shoulders & arms. Thank you so much for this post.
great stitch pillow tutorial ....think that might be a next project for me ..I do some counted cross stitch sitting on the sofa in the family room a s I think this will be a great addition 😊.
I watched your video on the stitch pillow this morning & made one this evening! It was a great tutorial! I can feel my shoulders & arms relaxing already! Lol!
You’ve really inspired me to get back to my quilting and I love this tutorial so I’m going to make one too! Thankyou so much. Also I love your beginning driving through town.
Loved the tutorial so much I got some fabric out and followed along. I LOVE my new Stitching Pillow! Can't wait to do some English Paper Piecing and use it tomorrow.

Love watching this video but where were you when I made a bunch of these for friends. Ive yet to make me one - go figure. I actually just came upon your videos today - love them.
I've been thinking about making one of these for a while and finally watched your tutorial! It looks easy and I love your comments throughout! It would be so much fun to see with you in your hive! Thanks for sharing!
I have a star pillow that an upholsterer showed me how to do. it's made with 15 6-inch squares and I use it for much the same purpose that you use your stitch pillow. I use it to hold my phone when I'm sitting and watching quilt videos.
I just discovered your channel and subscribed. Thank you for this helpful tutorial. I am anxious to make myself one of these. Your pillow is so cute and functional, I love it! Linda Hardesty
Thanks, I am going to try that for me . Will let you know how I do. Looks like it will be not to hard and I have lots of fabric to use and probably even stuffing.....yah!! :)
Thank you Anna, you are so funny and cute. May you and your family have a lovely Christmas and great New Year!! I will have to make one of these cute pillows.
