Here’s the thing, we can start projects, buy the fabric etc. and when we’re gone it makes no difference whether our “ stuff” is tossed as pieces and parts or finished projects . We won’t care! 😅 Enjoy the journey and praise God we can enjoy it. ❤
Hi Anna, always good to see you. I am not a stitcher yet I am a quilter and a sewist. I am going through cancer treatment sew when I wake up in the middle of the night it is sew comforting to view your videos. I feel like you are a friend that I am visiting. Bless you.❤💗
I download books to my iPad and listen on my headphones while I sew. Wow...I love it. There just isn't enough time in the day to do every thing we want to do is there?
I love hearing about the good times at Acorns & Threads, it looks like such a great shop. Hearing about the gatherings there makes me envious, sounds like such fun! No LNS in my area, closest shop is about 4 hours away. Thanks for sharing your stitching projects, the designated stitch is such a good idea, so helpful in having one time of the day to focus on one project and the rest of the day do whatever you want. It’s always good to spend time with you! Take care!
Thank you for your wonderful videos. I love to stitch while I watch. In honor of no one being the boss of me, I will be starting another project or two. I ran to my stitchy stash and grabbed two that I have kitted up but resisted starting.
I got into the PNWSS also. This is my 1st retreat. I'm so excited but a little nervous as I will be coming alone. I am in Teresa Kogut's Patreon so have been waiting impatiently for the registration to come up! Looking forward to meeting you and all the other floss tubers I watch.
Book recommendation: Thursday Murder Club. This is the first in a series of 4 by Richard Osman. These books are so good! The main characters are 4 seventy somethings who live in a retirement community. Really fun, action packed, and charming. The Queen Bee chart is lovely.
No one is the boss of us!💃🏻💕We can have as many starts & WIPs as our hearts desire. 💃🏻🧶🧵How about a no rules April then May. We can just keep letting everyone know month by month til it sinks in for everyone else! Haha 😂 Thanks for keeping me sane while I’m stitching. Mariaknits27💃🏻💕🧵🧶📚☕️
Love all your quilt roadie videos, I always laugh. Love the new SUGAR & CREAM project.. You’re reflecting back about your family also. How wonderful you have those treasures. My mother passed away in 2013 and she lived with us 33 years. Even at that they are so many things I wish I had ask her, phenomenal.. my husband born 1936 , so not that much younger than you Father. But he remembers food rations then.. thank you for all your videos. I look forward to each and every one. I have recently connected to the sisterlies and really enjoy their new quilt tubes. Thx, Maggey❤️
I can’t believe you were resisting the Queen Bee skinny pillow chart. It was in my pre-order as I am the queen of my craft room! I have read several of William Kent Krueger’s novels and have enjoyed them all.
Love, love, love that quilt with the ornaments, so very pretty. "Smack talkin' cross stitch........lol.....too funny. Those fabrics are so gorgeous. Still cold, windy, & snow predicted here.😶 Enzo is so cute in his tennies! Marilyn
I wasn't going to pre-order anything from the Nashville Market. I figured I'd get it later on. Last famous words!! LOL I pre-ordered and I'm still ordering. I loved the cookbook so much for some reason I bought two of them. I only thought I had bought one until they arrived yesterday and I checked my invoice. Yep I bought two!!! Oh well that's fine. One to keep and one to give away to a friend.
Hi love the ornament quilt that is what I am doing with the prairie school Santa's going to make a all haning it was snowing here yesterday we where out with amish I always take my sewing with me none of the amish here sew but I have gotten some in to it embroidery they like it from Indiana
The Christmas stitch quilt is gorgeous. It is first day of spring and we are to get up to 50 cm of snow this week starting tonight. Typical March for us.. In and out like a lion!
I'm in PNWSS. Can't wait! I'm attending with a new friend who I met at a quilt retreat in December. She paused her quilting to watch Jingle Ball on her computer and we were fast friends. She wanted to hear about my experience at last year's PNWSS and was excited to sign up for this year. Like you, I was attracted to the Teresa Kogut chart in the Nashville cookbook. I was thinking it would be great for the smalls exchange since she is a featured designer. See you in July at Sit and Sew.
I so love spending time with you! I have been looking for the store in Canada that you recommend…can you name them again, please? Looking for the Mermaid Before Coffee with the fancy fabric.💜
The first time I met my kids dad was on the back of his Harley. My girlfriend lived in a little town, about 20 min. from us. She wanted me to spend the night. Neither of us drove. They had a friend that just came home from Vietnam. He offered to come get me on his chopper. I couldn't believe my parents let me go.
Oh Anna that Spirit of Christmas wall hanging is beautiful. I so enjoyed the catch up today. I've had headaches on and off for days now and thought part of my problem may be caused by bad posture as I'm working on finer Linens and need to look through my magnifying light all the time. My eyes were checked yesterday (had new prescription specs just before I had Covid in September) and they're fine so as I'm beginning Post Covid Team's online help later this week I'll see what they suggest before seeing a doctor. I was away all weekend so had a break anyway. I've got to be able to stitch or I'll go doolally 😮!!!
We had a tree explode also, but not with flowers. The heavy canyon winds blew it over and boom! Yep, it had been sick and was mostly dead and hallow so it just exploded as it went down.
I loved our quick little FaceTime chat this morning. I’m guessing that because the in person was filled by the time I hit the button they just flipped me onto the zoom one. I’ll get there one day. I always think of March 20th as the first day of Spring as it’s my Dad’s birthday and it is technically the first full day of Spring so I will be starting something on Wednesday to celebrate him. A couple of times I started a new Bee stitch each Friday in May as May 20th my Mom’s birthday is world bee day. I like your choice of pollinators to start but the bee bothers me as it doesn’t have a double wing so I’ll be doing a different one. Have a wonderful 4 hour day of Spring tomorrow.
