It takes courage and determination to finish a full marathon, much more are needed with your injuries Josh. We all learnt something about you as well. I am very happy for you and your family!
Not a runner... and have no plan on taking it up... But what an amazing story and review of the event. Congrats on finishing, mate. Seriously, seriously impressive.
Whoa super effort!!! Congrats. It’s a tough event on its own, but after hitting the deck on Friday and dinging yourself up, especially the all important gams is just mega. Hope you’re feeling better recovered now and carrying no residual effects from the crash. It’s no wonder your vids are so good. You obviously apply the same commitment to everything you undertake. Congrats
Hey mate, feeling not too bad honestly. My knee is a big tight and I can’t ride my bike, but I’m happy to be mobile. Thanks for the incredibly kind words, people like yourself keep me motivated to make content!
Sunk cost fallacy ;) I'm kidding, I just wanted to give it my best shot. I was at peace with turning up to the start line and not being able to finish.
It was a good time. One thing which is good about these videos is we can go back and watch it in the future and remember all the good times we got up to
Too right mate 30kms is where I hit my wall!! I remember my friends who came as my support crew telling me 1 more run club 12km route - my legs were spasming with cramp and I was definitely under fueled, but running a marathon taught me a lot about myself. Watching you accomplish it is giving me the runners itch!! So maybe I’ll take up that hobby on a more regular basis! Would love to run a few kays with James!
What a journey! People usually get stitches while running, of course you decided to get some before starting. Really sweet of your dad to join in! Clearly there's a fitness gene in the family. I reckon 11:51 beats 11:37 hands down! That framing! Also love the music buildup from 16:48 leading to 17:20 right into 17:38. So.... 3 hours next year, 2 hours the year after?
Hahaha I think I did get some good genes, but behind that is a lot of hard work and dedication 😎 my dad did a lot of training. Hahaha you’re right, running directly under the bridge was incredible. Thanks for appreciating the music, sometimes it takes a lot of work to find that perfect song!
Awesome effort to everyone and good on you for finishing 😮. Personally i think I'll stick to the MS Gong ride 😉 You did forget the most important thing though .... how's the bike 😂 Your Dad and James 👏👊 🍻
@@joshkwan I had a mate who scratched his Colnago when breaking his wrist, he would have taken a broken arm to avoid scratching his bike.... we do get attached to them
