When picking up a parked strand to resume with that color, how do you know which color (pattern symbol) you're picking up?

I alway park in the same spot for every stitch. I park in the top right hang corner. So I can look at my pattern find the square that corresponds and know it’s the color of that corner.

@@8BitStitch Oh, so you 'park' it in the beginning of the next stitch of that color, not the last stitch completed before switching. Thanks so much! I'm gonna try this.
