I'm always surprised when I hear North Dakota or towns in ND. Born and raised here on a farm in NW Corner of ND. Married a farmer and still here. Love my slow relaxing life here. 😊Happy Easter 🐣 ✝️
Of course I watch your videos for the cross stitch and your good sense...but today was especially excited to see another person (I mean not a child) having fun with Lego! I have the London piece put together in my bedroom and this year one of my daughters gave me the Lego aquarium for Christmas...
Hi! My first experience of Nashville as I am new to cross stitch. I love so many things and in particular JBW Designs Stitching in the Round. A bold effort for me. 🤞🏻.
Looking forward to getting your new book. The elongated sampler is a favorite, both for the design and the shape. My favorite release from Nashville 2023 market was O Sweet Humility Eliza Townsend's Work 1835. Love it’s grandeur! Happy needle everything!
So good to see you, Teresa! Congratulations on Most Humble Hands!!! It looks fabulous! Am also enamored of your sons’ linens, but the star of the show was Zero! What a sweetheart!!! 😻
Squee! Baby Zero! 🥰 What a sweetheart he is, headbutting you during filming. Missed seeing Ruby today, but we had a visit from Briar instead. I look forward to buying your book. Lots of interesting samplers. Also, what a great selection of fabrics from your boys!
My favorite from Market was Summer Quaker from Lila's Studio (which I ordered from you! Love the way the Notify function works - oh, and it has an error which Lila shows in the News section of her website.). I really appreciate the speed at which Stacy Nash made her updated Spring Chickens pattern available to those who had ordered. So happy to see you tonight!
I agree one of my favorite things that came out I'd the United we Stand book. I love the patriotic stitching. I have missed your videos, and love the new cut!
Always such an honor to be one of your stitchers. Love your haircut, seeing Zero and of course, such great content on every video. Thanks for always sharing so many interesting stories.
Thank you for the walk down memory lane! I started stitching in 1980-81. Have a P. Buckley Moss still hanging in our home. Congratulations on your new book!
Zero cuddling with you is completely precious. I have one that needs to be held, she does not want to sit on me. She wants to be cuddled. My favorite at market was the United We Stand book too. So beautiful. I had been waiting a long time for it because I missed the exclusive when it came out. So happy to see it come out!
I don't know where to begin!!! I SOOOO LOVE you videos! I could listen to you ALL DAY! I do admit I did not watch when you showed your new book but I did listen. I know mine is on its way to me & after listening I am so excited about it. I also love that you love Legos because my daughter(who has 2 boys who love legos) also loves them too! Thank you for sharing your sons' fabrics & talking about how they dye them!!! They are beautiful!
Love seeing your cats. Our Buzzy hates to be held, so I am jealous Zero!😂 It was so good to see your video, hopefully you will find a life balance that includes more videos, you light up my day!
Congratulations on your new book-I can see why you are so,proud of it. We’ve played ladderball all for years. Our son said they called it 'testicle toss' at tailgate games during college. 😊
What a fun video as usual! I really enjoyed your flip-through of your new book - Wow! What a treasure of stitching goodness you have put together. The new linens dyed by your sons are gorgeous. As always, I enjoy seeing your kitties. Thank you for taking the time to do a video. My favorite market release was the pair by Heartstring Samplery and Plumstreet: Float and Sting, but had to have United We Stand and Stacy Nash's Birds of a Feather Needle Book. Take care. Happy Stitching! 🧵
Your new book is awesome! I would love to stitch almost all of the samplers. Your cats are so pretty and the cat hooked rug is definitely a treasure. I agree with you on the Miracle Whip. It is the best. Our favorite sandwich is a good old BLT, but we add cheese.
I enjoyed your show!! I am so excited to order your new book. School girl sampler makers hold a special place in my heart. My 7 year old granddaughter is really showing interest in what I am stitching. I think it will be fun to go through the book with her. Thank you for sharing the news about Stacy Nash. My heart goes out to her. Unfortunately patience is very hard for some people. And I am sure that once everyone receives their pattern it will be worth the wait!! You are appreciated!! Brenda from Northern California
Hi Teresa! I’m always super excited to see a video from you and thank you so very much for doing one for us it was great! Your book is simply amazing we all need one for our collection. I love the style and the butterflies and the samplers wow. You should sincerely be super happy with every page you did an amazing job on it. Take care and try not to catch Steve’s cold. Luv ya!
Great to see you. Sorry you had to run into nastiness! I love seeing your videos and the knowledge you share is amazing. Thank you for sharing everything with us. Looking forward to your book arrival! 💕💕
My favorite chart from market was Hello From Liz Matthews Basket and Butterflies. I just absolutely had to have it, but totally changed up the fabric and colors.
Always nice seeing you. My favorites always will be Blackbird Designs, not new but they have been on my wishlist for a long time. I love buying from your shop, especially linen because I really like the way you label them. Happy Stitching
I miss making Chokecherry Jelly, it was great as a meat glaze for me as well as on toast, scones etc. Chokecherries seem to be dying out, they are really hard to find now. My parents had a sort of grove of them growing in their yard and it was a battle with the birds to get them when they were ripe . It would be so disappointing to go out to check them and find a naked grove and drunk birds flapping all over the yard. 😳
So happy to see you back!!!! Great video and I can't wait to get your new book!! I'm a rughooker and I love the book that you shared. The rugs with the phrases are hilarious....who'd of thought that women (back in the day) would actually put their sarcastic remarks, thoughts, & aggravation in the design of a rug? That collection of rugs were on display at Sauder Village in Archbold OH years ago. So interesting and creative! Great video, Teresa...nice to see Zero!!
So glad to see a video from you. I enjoyed your 10 charts segment and hearing why they are your favorites. I love your new Quaker sampler and can't wait to stitch it. Happy belated Birthday to you!
Love your hair and it's great to see you!! Always love to see the kiddos!! Went immediately and placed an order for the mystery floss and some other things. It would be great to see more videos! My favorite Nashville release is the cookbook...cooking and cross stitching, my 2 passions!
I have been drooling over United We Stand by Blackbird Designs for a long time and was so happy to see it has finally been released this Nashville Market 2023, it is my absolute favorite. A close second was Spring Awakens by With Thy Needle and Thread. Love your kitty visits.
Oh my goodness so good to see you Theresa 🌹 Love your hair cut… & your eyes looked great… cDNA wait to get the bundle in your red Samplers.. once a month payment living can be a challenge 😊 Always love Grahams fabric I’ve been stitched on so much of his… & now Harrison … It’ll be great to get some from Harrison.. BTW does the cute Kitty on cups cocoa come along too.. lol Looking forward to seeing you again . All the Best Stay safe Pax Dei Sharon, Ohio 🇺🇸
You solved a mystery for me. Thank you! I couldn't remember the name of the shop that I bought a few cross stitch kits from when I was a student at NDSU - it was the Nordic Needle. No wonder I couldn't find them, they're now closed.
The book looks amazing! I ordered before the video was over 😂 One of my absolute favorites that came out, not market related was your Satterthwaite sampler. The minute I saw the original on your video, I knew I would get it immediately. It’s a masterpiece. Marketwise, I loved the cookbook & Enchanted Quaker. Your videos are so much fun. Can’t wait to see you next time
What was my fave thing to come out of Nashville market? TBH, I didn't pay attention to what was new this year. I went so overboard during the pandemic that I don't need any new charts or fabric (thanks to a friend gifting me her entire fabric stash. Also, to me, the American market is so saturated with both primitive designs and simplistic cutesy designs, both of which I hate, that it's rare for me to see anything I really want.
I’m new to floss tube and while watching your show, I realized I just bought some things from your shop. As a cat mom I wanted to order your car decal and forgot. It all came full circle when your kitty needed you. So sweet. I’m stitching A Little Red House Sampler. It is a great one. So understated. I haven’t purchased anything from Nashville market, but plan on finding a Brenda Gervais sampler and one with a big bird which might be from Running with Shears? Loved your floss tube! Had a day from haddes teaching kids and needed to just sit and stitch with my girls. Thanks for all the good chatter.
Your new book looks fantastic!!😻. I will be placing an order soon. Anytime you are in the area our Coulee Country guild would love to have you visit!! The Crossestitchery shop was great , was sorry to see them close. Very enjoyable flosstube, glad to see you back. Love your cats and the hooked cat rug !!!!😻
So wonderful to see your face. Love your hair . Zero ❤❤. It’s funny l’m just a consumer of cross-stitch every thing ( for the last 40 years) and market made me a little sad this year too. Maybe not sad but melancholic. This past year we lost Saundra Cox and the Finishing Touch here in Louisville. So many of the older designers didn’t seem to be in Nashville. But at 76 l’m melancholic about a lot of things. It is nice to see so many young designers and stitchers picking up cross stitch. I think our passion is in good hands. I’m sorry anyone would be ugly to you ever but especially at Needlework Market. Shame on them. Hope to see you back real soon. Oh and l love your linens. Those boys must have your genes! Take Care
I was just thrilled to see you had a video up! I missed you! I must say….I was so glad that you showed and went through your new book. I must say…it might of been the wine….but I had tears in my eyes when you first showed your cover….it’s so obvious that you put your heart and soul into it! It’s just stunning! I can’t wait to order it…just a quality book to own! As good as your red book. Thank you for always taking time to teach us ! 😘
Great video!! Loved seeing a few of you top 10 charts 😉. I plan on purchasing your book. Nice job. I really like how you kept the look and feel of the originals. New fan! 😊
It was a treat to see you today. So much to absorb in this video. Your new book is fascinating and yes,so much work to get it together. What a treat to have your 2 sons join you in making dyed linen and they have their own lines, too! You did a lot last year so don’t be too tough in yourself. Take care!
Really excited to watch your latest flosstube. Your book is amazing. And always be kind to yourself. I’m sure the lady you met at market completely understood. 💜💜💜
Does anyone know how to get your stitching mojo back? My dad passed away in November and it has been very difficult to try to get back into life, including stitching. I want to stitch, I just cannot make myself even LOOK at the sampler I have on my stand. This is the first stitching YT video I have watched since November. I am hoping it will get me excited to jump back into the stitching pool since Kitten Stitcher is my favorite YT'er. Any advice at all would be greatly appreciated. Thank you,
I am sorry to hear of the loss of your father. My own is now in memory care and no longer remembers me. I have heard that it is common to lose interest in beloved activities during the grief process, but I think it's so nice you are wanting to get back to something you love to do. Whenever I'm feeling uninspired to stitch something, I will sort through my patterns, or thread, or fabric, look at my WIP's, and if I can even just get 15 minutes or so into stitching something, it seems easier the next time I want to stitch. Be patient with yourself, and find joy in the small things. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. - T
@@KittenStitcher Thank you so much for your kind words. I'm so sorry about your father. I suppose I'm just taking one day at a time and hoping something will click. Thanks for the good ideas.
My dad died from dementia in 2014. I had been stitching on a sampler while he was in hospital and I thought it would bring me comfort afterward to continue to work on it but I could not look at it again. I gave it to a close friend who also cross stitches. I totally stopped stitching for five years. Zero interest whatsoever. And then in 2019, little by little I got out one WIP at a time to work on an hour or two every few days. Over time I got back my mojo. Just last week I was at my friend’s house and spotted that sampler, finished and framed on her wall. She asked me if I would now like it back. I realized that after eight years have passed, I can now find comfort hanging it on MY wall. She was very happy to return it to me, even though she was the one who had finished nearly half the project plus spent the money to get it framed.❤
So good to see you Teresa. Congratulations on your new book! My absolute favorite from market wasSpring Chickens, by Stacy Nash, which you mentioned. I’m going to start it soon, corrections or not because I just love it. Have a wonderful day!
It always takes me a little time to get through your videos because they are so jam-packed with information or references to cool stuff in your shop so I pause the video and go look. Getting a sneak peak at your book is a real treat. It's not sort of thing I would pick up but this one contains so many treasures I will have to get a copy. Sons are amazing people, aren't they? I showed mine how to do little repairs or paint things around the house when he was younger and now he has his own home repair/remodel business. Thanks for sharing the story about the Wabi-Sabi fabrics. Always a hard choice when selecting something for the stash.
My absolute favorite from Nashville this year was Teresa Kogut's pattern Kindred spirits. I plan on stitching it for my sister by customizing it. Your cats are adorbs.
I literally stopped everything and immediately ordered the book the minute you said it was marking samplers. They will always be my favorite. I love that you wanted to highlight the girls in your book. I can’t wait to see it in person!
So much going on in your life - as always!!! Love everything. However, what was the name of the restaurant you said you went to in Colorado (Denver, right)? I'd love to check it out but didn't catch the name - and to go to an antique store would be a huge plus. I'm not one to stitch marking samplers but your new book sounds so filled with information that it is going on my wish list!
It was so nice to see you and Jen at market! I hope you do make videos more often, I miss them. You are always so entertaining. My favorite video was the one when you and Harrison did a little skit! Take Care, Annie
Your hair is so cute!!! One of my fav things this year was the cookbook. I’m excited to see yours and Alma’s new books. I still have most my PBuckley charts. They’re adorable. I still have all my Paula Vaughan lol. Lordy. She was my introduction to linen. The Needleprint charts I kept too. I did their Mary Wigham Sal. Your Quaker sampler is awesome. Thanks for visiting!!
My first time watching! I'll definitely be back! The sweet cats were a bonus hahaha! My most looked forward to/favorite thing from Market was "Beloved". Mine is on it's way! Happy Stitching!
So many great things came out at market this year. So far I have gotten This I Know by Plum Street, Stitching in the Round by JBW Designs, Every Opening Flower by With Thy Needle & Thread and the cookbook. I have so many more on my list that I'd like to have. You new books looks great and is now added to my ever growing list of wants. I really enjoyed your flosstube and all the information you shared. I love the the colors of the fabric your sons dye.
This was my first visit with you, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It made me so happy to see that P. Buckley Moss chart. I had just watched another Flosstuber (I’m sorry I don’t remember who) a couple of weeks ago, and she had a couple of the PBMoss charts as well. I went searching right away and found two that were “gotta haves.” I’m looking forward to stitching them. Thanks for the video. I’ll see you next time!
I am very happy when I see you have a new post! This is a wonderful, wonderful video. Love seeing your new book. Loved your pen and Lego ideas plus seeing your 10 charts and more things. I was so pleased to see the P. Buckley charts. I love her. My mother in law, unfortunately not with us anymore, loved her too. She xstitched a few. She bought some of her prints. We are fortunate to have some of the things she made and bought. I bought some things too but couldn’t afford too much. We went to a couple galleries in MD, where we lived. She came to them and signed some things. We went to her museum, in either Staunton or Waynesboro, VA. I’m just so pleased to see her work shown sometimes. I started xstitching probably 1980’s. Eventually I got involved in quilting, sewing, and rubber stamping. I still have much of my xstitch things. During Covid, I found flosstubes. It soothed and helped me relax. I started dreaming about doing again and buying again. I have some health issues which make it harder to do but hope I still can. If not, the dreaming enjoyable too. I’m likely boring you. You’re someone I’d love to live near and have you for a friend. You appeal to me. Love cats too. I also like Miracle Whip, not mayonnaise. I grew up with that. Born in PA and much of my childhood in Long Island. Thanks for sharing. Love the way, is it Zero, cuddles. 🐈⬛🐈⬛🐈⬛⭐️⭐️
Hello! I am stitching and watching Floss Tubes and your video popped up next! I haven't even finished watching you yet, but I loved hearing your candidness about being up and down. Anyway... back to your video!
Congratulations on the new book. It is fantastic! It was good to see a video from you. I always enjoy them. The looks from Zero were so adorable. Your kitties are so sweet. Thanks for sharing so much information and projects. I loved them!!! Happy stitching………………………….
I just found your channel and I love your content. Samplers, chicken soup, sandwiches, beg rugs, a gorgeous kitty and last but not least, linens dyed by your sons I’m totally blown away. Congrats on your newest book. I’m going to order it for sure. The antique samplers you have are wonderful to see. I’d love to buy some linens, threads, etc but shame on me I don’t know the name of your shop. Help. Loved your enthusiasm. Take care
Oh my goodness it's the best day ever! You're back, with that most amazing new book. Good thing I live alone because there is happy screaming (think I'm so excited singing) I love marking samplers and these are calling my name. Your hair looks fabulous! Mary Briggs 1806 by Erica Michaels was my favorite new release. If you could have your husband pick you up and swing you around consider that from me. Too much? Nope, I needed this today.
Nice to see you again. I love your hair style ( I hope you haven’t had it for a year and I just now realized it! 😂). That new book is fabulous. When you said available in PDF I squealed with delight. I will get the actual book but pdf makes me real happy right now!
I had such a great time watching this video & happy to see you again! Loved seeing your new book - it’s absolutely beautiful! I also loved hearing about the fabrics Harrison & Graham are producing - they look gorgeous & now I must add that to my list of wants! I think it’s fabulous that your business is somewhat of a family affair!! I’m loving my new market cookbook - could it get any better than a cookbook w/ stitching charts for those of us who are obsessed with both?? Sorry you had some mixed emotions at the market, it happens to us all & we just have to get over it. Next year you’ll just have to be super bubbly towards that person😉🤣❤️ Hope Steve feels better! Happy Stitching & thanks for another fun & educational video filled with lots of eye candy💗🪡🧵🌷🐇
So great to see you again on flosstube. I just love spending time with you while I stitch. My sister filled her home with her framed P Buckley Moss cross stitch patterns. They were quite large. That brought back nice memories. She and I stitched back in the 80s. I picked it back up after I retired in 2016. Now I have stash for three lifetimes. That was so very kind of you to start your video the way you did. I don’t think that you could possibly upset any of your fans. She probably thought you weren’t feeling as famous as you are to us fans. And shame on anyone who would be unkind to you. Hope to see you more here on the flossy tubes!!! ❤ Adding here….Wow! Your new book is phenomenal. Thank you so much for sharing your passion with us. You’re a gem!!!!
Wonderful video. Thank you for sharing all the beautiful charts stitching and all the stitchy information. Congratulations on Most Humble hands it’s so beautiful. My market favorite this year is Stacy Nash. I think she hit it out of the park. I love your sweet kitties. 🥰
Ok comment number 2 Since I have now watched every minute. Again…. So so SO good to see you… and Zero at the end!! My cat look exactly like him and is also a giant cuddle baby! Loved every minute and of course selfishly with no regard to your busy life 😂😂😂😂 yes please on more videos. You are calming and funny and just so real. ❤ I also got one of the Stacy Nash charts that was tough to read but you know what ? My LNS was great and sent the pdf and even if they hadn’t it would not be the end of the world ! Stuff happens and I know she was trying to make it right with everyone! I hope the majority of people felt the same way! Lifes too short to get worked up . Anyway, Loved the Flosstube was wondeful, thanks!!!
Good video. I have done alot of Fanci that. I stitched them.back in the 1980's still hang on my wall. I have The Schoolgirl book. I got it a few years ago. I didn't pay very much for it. I love PBuckley Moss. I have alot of her prints. I met her she signed my print with my 3sons names. It was a print of 3boys called Brothers Three. I lived in Virginia for 17 years and worked at Ben Franklin for years.
Always happy when you post an update video. My favorite at Nashville was The Birdmen Cometh by Little Robin Designs. Every now and then I love lots of color and Birdmen has just that. And it is kind of samplerish. Win-Win. My other favorite is Harriet Cooper 1843 by Queenstown Sampler Designs. I love love love large blocks of stitching. 🥰
