He did. No settings required if you don't use SWV features. if you want to use it just delete the launch file and debug folder, highlight your project -> select debug as -> stm32 c/c++ application. In the opened menu select "Debugger" scroll down and find Enable Serial wire viewer (make sure there is right mcu clock). if you use HAL library I think you need to activate debugging too by selecting System Core -> SYS - > in Debug you need to choose "Serial Wire".
