I personally think Divident stocks are overrated, unless you have over $100k in dividends, you will only get $2 or less a year per stock. Although when it comes to buying and immediately selling, dividend stocks are safe, not the fastest growing stocks but you can make a few hundred bucks flipping.

Index funds are ideal core portfolio holdings for retirement moves such as IRAs & 401Ks so don't think of them as totally apart. Keep up with the 8% on your 401K cause that's already best set with your salary yes? Then invest in index funds now so it'll support your growth in passive gains.

What you should do is to get a short-term investment that will allow you comfortably allot about 8% of your salary to your 401K and still invest in the index funds then you can keep growing both of them steadily over time.

My firewall would crash and windows would lose network. Deeper digging showed something malicious. So I did more research about WeBull and found it’s parent company is Fumi Technology, a Chinese firm! When you recommend these companies to newcomers, please research and provide full disclosure. I revealed my personal information to a Chinese company !!

Great introduction! I strongly caution against active investing! Most professional investment managers fail to do as well as passive index funds. Most people attempting the active approach will get below market returns, no matter how much research and analysis they do.
