@@miderwr9363 Sweden was VERY socialist from 1932 to the mid or late 1980s. There was even communist plans, such as löntagarfonder, that scared many investors away. The fact that we also had large company capitalism in parallel does not change much. So does communist China, for instance.
I hate to say this, we ages from 19 to 27 four of us finally went to Sweden, we were expecting maybe to much, but the trip was a biggest disappointment for us, this country is not only cold in whether ,it is cold with people, very unfriendly, borderline racist , unwelcoming attitude and we are not even from Middle East ,we are American tourist from Los Angeles.and we did not disrespected anyone while we were there, 3 of us are blonde ,2 of us are blue eyed, so no mistaken identity issue there, we looked just like they did, we could not get a decent food unless it is Turkish kebob restaurant or few Italian ones we found, selling Alcohol only in certain places, and you can not buy and take a bottle of wine , beer or Vodka to your home, hotel anytime you desire , but the bars and cafes you can buy alcohol, Sundays forget it. they are all closed. transportation is very poor. and things are outrageously expensive, like 30% mark up than other European countries. not much to see, if anything what they have, they have them 100's of other countries, but they love to sail, no shortage there, over all if you are in budget go visit other countries in Europe, and if you have seen every other country and want to just go somewhere, ok go to Sweden, and the famous Swedish massage? opsss it is a false fame , we have the best here in US. we cut the trip one week short and went to Hungary week early , we went to Istanbul to connection to Los Angeles, but we stayed 4 days there ,which was wonderful ,Istanbul; Rocks guys ,we thought we had needed more time because we only seen very little ,food was delicious in Istanbul we must admit, ohh by the way Swedish hotel charged us for week stay anyways, for both rooms, so not let's be nice to the tourist , I don't know, maybe they do not like Americans, we certainly felt it . but the trip to Hungary made our efforts all worthwhile .. sorry guys I hope we didn't offend anyone in Sweden.but please put a smile on your face time to time. and be nice to tourist, we spend money and contribute to your economy
You're acting like it's random swedes' job to talk to every tourist that comes here. No one gets paid doing that so why would someone do it for free? Since you don't think it was your people's looks that were the problem, maybe you should consider it may have been how you might've behaved? And by the way, the way you write and your grammar make me think you're not American at all...
You could have just stayed in your country coz it seems you never did your research of Sweden before heading there, not everywhere is like or behaves like America
