STOCKINGS FOR OUR 12 KIDS 

How come you get the older kids the same as the littles...... my kids have way different interests if I got my 17 year old what I got my 6 year old I can't imagine him using the stuff

GREAT idea about the box of individual ornaments!! You don't need fancy writing, they will recognize your handwriting, and know those ornaments came from a place of love! I always leave my stocking shopping for last....its my favorite and least stressful part! Merry Christmas to you all!

****Little Tip...I absolutely love watching you do this stuff as well as packing. But here is a little tip. I am a teacher and I have to sort out for a bunch of kiddos so I go to the Dollar store, and I would do extra do say 20 little baskets and when you do stuff you can sort items into each basket then fill what your doing. Same with packing and I even notice for laundry. Maybe those flat laundry baskets and have each child have one of their own so when you pack you can fill each clothes basket with items then add into suitcases and when you do laundry sort into each basket for each child as you fold. Just little tips from a teacher that had a bunch of kiddos to help organize a little more:)❤

As kid, my stocking has an orange, an apple, salted shell peanuts and hard candy. Maybe dimes, pickles and pennies.

what would be easier to do stockings is if you lay one of everything with each stocking in a pile and then you know that everyone received what they were supposed to and then that pile goes in that stocking. No keeping up with what you've already grabbed, haven't grabbed or never did grab.

It’s crazy here in Indiana too! With the flash freezing and snow and everything. Not a foot of snow but with the wind and negative temps it’s crazy. And supposed to be in the 40s-50s this time next week.

I love the idea of the ornaments in their stocking I’ve made it a tradition every year to buy a least one new ornament for the tree.

I found this Channel a few weeks ago and at first I thought that everything she buys is cool. But the more you think about the more you know its a huge waste of Money and shes only doing it for the videos

We have those Pottery Barn Stockings too and love them. I actually have the 4-5 foot stockings as well. Love all the stocking stuffers.

I decided a long time ago that this isn't what christmas is about. If it stresses us out and is meaningless, then we skip it. It's difficult to imagine buying things just to have them. Quality over quantity is MY motto...I understand my opinion is not gospel! happy holidays to the dd.

I do not put crappy toys in stockings. I spend more and give less x - with quality items that will be used for a long time …. Eg socks, underwear, treat foods, t-shirt, gift card, small items of what they are really into and collectable …..etc. My teen boys would literally look at all that stuff for a minute and would never use it again…..or would never open it to begin with.

Tip for future if you get boxes/bags first and fill the boxes with stocking stuff once the boxes are filled you can sort each box into a stocking

My kids stocking staffers are normally stuff like deodorant, ear pods,brushes or combs,,some candy.stuff they need and mabye a few matchbox cars

I get useful stuff in my stocking like lotion, soap, toothpaste and toothbrush, candy, face masks, travel shampoo and conditioner, gum, and a bunch of other stuff

If you gave them less to begin with you wouldn’t have to stress over who didn’t get slime or a hacky sack. Isn’t everything going to end up on the floor and no one will know what belongs to who and fighting over who’s it is sounds like a great way to spend Christmas. Maybe simplify just a thought.

I can't do calligraphy writing either. A fun way to write their names is to put a circle dot at the junctions of the lines, and at the ends. So, for example, for an A, put a dot on the top peak, then a dot at the end of the two legs. For a J, put a dot at the top and end of the line. Try it next time you're doodling. I believe ist’s difficult (and needs a lot of time) to buy individual things for the socks for 12 kids, but in my opinion it‘s important to consider the age. Yes, presents are cool and kindly, but honestly, your older kids are teenagers, they don‘t like (cheap) toys anymore. I think it‘s important to promote the grownup of any kid. Your first one is a man.

Stay safe in the storm! I'm right by Lake Ontario so its been going on since like 4:30am. The snow isn't bad yet, but the wind is pretty strong. Considering taking down my outdoor decorations. If you remember the names of those magnetic toys with the handle and little spinning piece, please let me know! I had one but I lost it when I moved over the summer. Its great for anxiety. I wanna try to find a new one.
