Sir, One more important point i would like to add is fear of missing out( FOMO) is also one factor , which misleads us in purchasing stocks at high valuation. In my early days of my investment i lose some money due to this mistake.

Hi Sai Krishna garu, lam 23 yr old, I have central government job, 70k salary, yearly increment around 7%, but my father has around 17Lakhs debt! Please tell me how to go forward in my life, should I clear those debts and start my investing journey or do them parallel both. And please tell me tricks to clear those debts most of them are P2P I don't have any big goals, just lead a peaceful life and buy an apartment in Hyderabad in future, we actually have a house worth 8 lakhs, currently in loan with 1 lakh outstanding, thought of selling but no one's buying it for reasonable price as we are debt ridden, also my parents having so much love on it as they are living in it for 20 yrs. Eagerly waiting for that portfolio XIRR which I requested in one of the ask money purse show two months back. Meanwhile I tried to make a sheet myself without including corporate actions and XIRR is around 24.79%. I entered into direct stock buying and selling 4 years back and your channel really helped me a lot in stock picking and helped me to built good portfolio consisting of 15 stocks. you should've also added the point "what is your financial goal" in the check list sir.😊 Without a proper goal, people don't know where to start and end. And also they don't know why they are even investing in different assets. If they know their goals, It gives them clarity and idea.
