"Massive" is an inapt description for this fire, though it was probably a bit frightening for those passengers who evacuated the bus. And while very few people commute carrying a tripod for their camera, just in case of such an occasion as this, this photographer either needs to learn how to hold the camera steadier or to drink less.
Problem is caused when you use a phone camera and zoom in , happened to me too . The bus was spewing out toxic smoke so the person who was filming had to stand away and zoom in for his own safety .

Brilliant arrival of brigade to water on the fire. Very quick indeed, in the US it would have taken 5 minutes to find a water supply , connect and then put out the fire .
not to mention that them numb sculls seem to like acting the part of guy fawkes as if this was in america they would have 60+ firemen standing on the roof of the bus an hour before any water is available while the rest of them just stand there chatting and watching the fire spread
@@tomatoes3 pmsl yeah must admit their fire engines have more lights flashing on them that puts the queens xmas tree to shame as for the sirens they sound like an air raid siren thats got the sniffles and they must have to wind them up too as when they turn them off it keeps going for another 30 mins as it slowly gets quieter and quieter like its winding down
Drove these things for Stagecoach, even brand spanking new with only 500 miles on the clock they cooked off their cooling fluids VERY quickly. Sometimes didn't last a day without a top up!
I agree with R J Smith as at 4:40 the lads can be heard saying where having a bonfire. These guys who work for a highway maintenance company and are all in hi viz just stand and take the mick. Why not use their vehicles with lovely yellow warning lights (and chapter 8 safety markings I bet) and slow approaching traffic to make the road safer or stand in a line encouraging traffic to slow down. Would people rather watch the misfortune of others just to have a laugh?

Firemen in the UK attend Hogwarts School of Firefighting. There they learn magical incantations, so when they arrive at the scene of a fire they pull out their magical wands and shout "Expecto Patronum". The fire puts itself out.
Top marks to the Firefighters there, I guess the parts from the front could be used as spares but had that been an Enviro 200/400, it would be turned into a gutted shell. I assume that bus went on a rollback truck to PSV Barnsley for scrap I am assuming.
+dennis trident william. That is a stupid statement to make as any bus can catch fire if it is poorly maintained or a fault develops with the electrics on board for example. Just because it hasn't been publicly reported, doesn't mean that it does not happen :).
half a dozen strong men. there are commercial buildings nearby. if you had got 2-3 fire extinguishers immediately, you could still have extinguished the fire. it's sad to see something like that. everyone just looks and nobody does anything.
I thought that, maybe some of the men in the green safety clothes, would have directed the traffic away from the bus. One good explosion, could have taken out a number of people passing by. And why, didn't anyone bring the marshmallows? And, did a replacement bus show up?
Not fast at all, depends what engine really but any that have been here can barely make it up my hill, like barely 5mph walking speed squealing and shaking, not even full, same hill a Dart will do 20mph no problem

First have to do this as no scrapyards will accept them. VOSA are complicit in allowing them to operate despite a poor maintenance record and appalling service quality issues. Privatisation destorys (sic.) public services.
