Amazon killed f/all. The smoking ban killed off almost every hospitality venue from pubs to clubs. A pint and a smoke was all most fella's wanted when shopping but a bunch of liberalist (?) wankers thought better. No town pubs = less town shoppers. And all those old pubs being turned into HMO's for . . . ?
Hey, Hanley is looking a lot better since I was last there. My Dad is 87, nobody is more stuck in their ways than him. Even he doesn't go up Hanley anymore. The druggies and beggars are actually leaving for festival park. In Hanley there is nobody to beg from, and no shops worth stealing from. Sad, but true. Time for the bulldozers me thinks. Brian.
