The following audio is a conversation on Teamspeak 3 regarding a member of a milsim group who was posing as a combat veteran and got called out. Be Warned Strong Language Used.
Yea I've gotten pretty addicted to watching these.. I encountered Stolen Valor at the county fair... I was caught off guard and was honestly naive enough to think it was an isolated incident... Started looking on RU-vid and good lord did my eyes open to the fact there are thousands of these pieces of shit out there
Toby Goodman Not at all, this is right up there on my list of morbid interests like hell (purely academic) and North Korea. I love seeing these guys called out.
I was just a 15-N in the army. For those of you who do not know what that is, its just an Aviation Mechanic. Nothing too special yet I am proud of all 8 years I put into my job. Its a bit upsetting that people go about and "pretend soldier" but I dont really get angry, I feel sorry for them.
I wanted to upload a pic from my iPhone when I was in Iraq in 2004. I met a Army recruiter in 2005 when I was 42 years old and she told me I can join up to age 42 and have 2 felonies back in 2005. My opinion was screw that if I am in Iraq I am going for the cash as a contractor. I went to boot camp in 1980 at 17 years old. I was much more badass at 41 than I was at 17. When I was 23 to 26 I was competing in boxing and kickboxing. When I was 29 to 35 I was competing in Judo. When I was 40 I trained in CSW and BJJ. Then at 41 the lifeguard job in Iraq came up.
My uniforms are in a sea bag. DD 214 is in a folder protector. CAC card is and government passport is in the lock box. Medals and ribbons are in the folder with the 214. Proud veteran here. Thank you to all who serve.
It is. As a gun shop owner, you wouldn’t believe the amount of SEALs, Rangers, and SF that come through the door. I don’t know who is in Motor T taking care of the vehicles. Everyone is a door kicker but nobody is taking care of the doors.
We invaded Iraq in March 2003. I was about to graduate highschool and I had friends that had graduated in 02 that went. He's only off by a couple years lol
My EX started going around telling people he was a drill sergeant for the Marines. The truth is that he did sign up to join, they took him to Cleveland overnight to ship out in the morning. He got upset that there were MP's at the hotel guarding the floor and they refused to let him leave his room to get a soda. Then he found out that they had just banned smoking cigarettes in basic, so the next morning he chickened out and refused to take the final oath. They put him out on the street in Cleveland and told him to find his own way home. We lived about 3 hours from Cleveland. It makes me sick that he is such a pathological liar who needs to fabricate his past because in reality he is an utter and complete failure. He even went so far as to have fake high school trophies made to try and impress girls. I remember one of them was for being an MVP quarterback for the football team. I found out he played the clarinet in the marching band. He took me to his grandparents house for a cook out or something and she had pictures up on the wall of him in his band uniform. I have always wished that he would run across a REAL Marine to take him to school. He's now 50 years old and he STILL lies about his history and just about everything else. Truly sad and disgusting. This guy in the video has NO idea what a DD214 is LOL.
Yeah if there's one big ol' red flag for bullshit, it's someone using the term "Drill Sergeant" when referring to Marines. They're not interchangeable terms for us :)
FoIA request? SF-180? Just enter as much information as possible about the person. It cost me $25 to get basic service records on someone not long ago. Good luck busting this shitbird.
Can someone help me check my dad’s marine record? He claimed he was a marine in the 1st marine div. provisional recon in Korea. He said he had 3 Purple Hearts and a Navy Crossb as well as being a survivor of Chosin reservoir. I have uncovered lies he told that I am upset about. I could not serve though I wanted to, my eyesight kept me out. I did what I could to serve and became police officer and eventually a chief of police for 20 plus years and then went to law school. I am currently a public defender in New Mexico. I am considering changing my name to leave this shame behind. Can someone help please. My email is fmvhlaw@gmail.com.
I usually don't comment on Nichol's website, but I decided to post that this was a great recording. I never got to serve, but if I did, I think I'd remember the basic stuff that this guy couldn't. I'd be so proud of my service, that I'd have backups of photos with friends, brothers I served with, and like Ranger, I'd have that DD-214 framed, stored in some bank vault's security box, etc. Good job posting this.
@@Ranger79 i may know someone else who maybe a.Stolen Valor POS from californa his.name is Stephen Perez who has claimed.to.be a.Ranger / LRRP joined 1992 apparently only did 2 yrs.from 1992 - 1994.. He is a wannabe youtube first amendment auditor / civil rights activist who is a transgender YT name is Furry Potato.
I got rejected by the army in 1990. I play paintball, study martial arts so I can put as much soldiering into my paintball game as possible. I do my hardest to make sure when our enemies try to strike I can be there with the will and the skills to handle the situation until police or military arrive. I was never in the military. Thank you for making such awesome videos!!!!🤘😁🎸
Lots of respect to you being a Ranger in the US Army. Graduated from my infantry OSUT at Ft. Benning, GA on August 15th. Most fun I've ever had brother I'll tell ya. I wish I went active instead of ANG, but hey after I do 6 months with the unit I can go active. It may be tough for me, but if I could I'd try to go to apply for airborne and RASP. Respect is earned not given and you have earned it over and over again in my book.
He said it would take him over a year to get a copy of it DD-214??? Seriously lol archives.gov sends a copy out in a few days (two weeks max) if you know your info.... not to mention they drill it in our head to get it notarized and file with the county right when you get out, so there is ALWAYS a copy on file when needed.... and not sure if I am alone on this, let me know, but I certainly did not get a DD 214 when I graduated basic??? BUT the reason I am pissed is he is claiming PTSD????? Did I understand that right? Is he serious? Does he not know the severity of what PTSD is doing to so many of us. I fight almost DAILY to deal with flare-ups, along with the over 250,000 other Veterans (who have served since 9/11 alone) and sadly the over 10,000 who have already taken their lives. He is literally making a mockery of a nightmare that so many of us would do anything to get rid of! I was a medic and a piece of me if dead forever.... and the VA just slapped a service connection number and sent me on my way, just like they do for everyone majority of Vets. I understand mine is very severe and that is my curse, but regardless of how bad it is... NO decent human being should be making light of the subject. SO coming from a Veteran who has nothing to do with videos games or who knows of this dude. I WILL TELL HIM, F*CK YOU! I don't know the men who made this video but hell yes do I understand their frustration because there is ONE thing that EVERY SINGLE VETERAN has in common, we know that there are certain things that should always be respected. Stealing Valor is easy as hell to spot because there is nothing about war that is worth bragging about. The idea you told anyone you shot a child goes to show that you are not a Veteran at all... You don't keep dibs on how many kills you get during engagement and you certainly don't brag about it.... EVER! I am typing this novel because I know your fake ass is following this video, clearly you have NOTHING better to do with your life. I have folded that flag more times then I care to admit and you sir are a piece of $hit and I am guessing that if you put the damn controller down I as a female veteran would tare you to shreds before you could spout out any more BS. My husband of 11 years died over there and you sit there with your wife and think it is funny to mock the life of real Veterans.... you couldn't have handled a deployment, hell you couldn't have handled basic. The guys on this video were right to call you out. Next time you consider glorifying yourself and what you did on your made up deployments, know that NO ONE who has really been deployed would ever brag about what is going on over there. You need to stop your BS before you piss off the WRONG Veteran. I am sure there would be a LONG line of us who would LOVE set you straight. Have some respect, you pos! You're pathetic!
I aggre my severe ptsd ruined a lot of my life and caused me to have addiction and attempt suicide. Ruined relationships. Isolation. Constant flashbacks and panic attacks, no sleep because of night terrors.
yo guys thanks for standing up for real Vets. These people hav to realize what soldiers go through, especially for those fighting their own battles. im not a Vet but am joining after this school yr. just wanna say thanks guys
I hate people like this! Trying to fake service. Personally, I was a space shuttle door gunner with the 10th Space Marines on the shuttle Discovery. I was in for 69 years and EAS'd a week ago as a first class master gunnery sergeant.
1960jefbot probably was me. I've written a few books since then. My most famous was about when our shuttle was shot down on Mars. It's called Lone Survivor 2: Deep Space Encounters.
Tucker Hight dude your dumb, team 123 wasn't there, I was with 123, we were engineering the new food we were gunna send you, didn't go through because yall thought yall were to good for food, im a master private corporal sgt (E35)
Thanks 4 bringing this out, this has been such a problem. All I did was drive a truck and got hurt and I didn't even get a purple heart, didn't need one. But these fools can now go on line and get one, sickening. There is a dude Jared Evens who goes around claiming to be an airforce vet, claimed he was in a Hummer as Airforce security forces. He even has a veterans stamp on his DL. So people believe him. But I saw his 214 and he washed out for fraudulent enlistment. Makes me sick that this dude claims veteran status and gets the beniffit from it when he's not. Stolen Valor!
I’m Enlisted Navy I’m going to bootcamp February 18th, to those who have served before me and those currently serving I salute you and thank all real military members thank you for your service
You can request his military records through the Freedom of Information Act, I do volunteer work for Stolen Valor/ Guardian of Valor, it's pretty simple to get someones 2-1 through NPRC.
I don't understand why people think vet's keep their DD214 on them at all times like a drivers license? Same with the vet card. Unless you regularly use the VA, why would you have that card on you? Most people when they get out of the military find a normal job that has normal health insurance and don't use the VA.
Being ex-Algerian Special Operations Groupe d' Intervention Special ( GIS) and having worked with US Army Rangers(75th) and quite a few 1st and 3rd group green berets this is disrespectful on so much levels. I now live in Fayetteville, BC and work at Fort Bragg as a joint forces training officer North Africa with USSOCOM. I have much respect for the professional manner of US Special operations
Good for you guys, holding him accountable. Civilians don't always understand why false valor is such a deep transgression, but it's a terrible thing for anyone to do. Question: what are 'teamspeak' and 'milsim'? Are these video gaming services? Apologies if it's a dumb question; I'm not 'up' on that stuff, I guess.
"Milsim" means Military Simulator (think ArmA 2, or any of the ArmA series). "Teamspeak" is a method of letting people communicate through microphones hooked up over the internet (basically, it is like a giant conference call, where everybody can hear each other).
The big deal is when you had given everything you had and you know what is the weight of it(the uniforms and all his details)... and then you see clowns dress as a wannabe sergent or colonel without any clue of what they are doing. Well you just want to start drill them and put them right on level they have to accept (they are... ).
John Ronkainen How does one access this type of service? I wish that I'd been in on this conversation. I only served a few weeks shy of a year after I made a stupid mistake, but I always consider my time in the U.S. Navy an honor and privilege. 28OCT96 - 17OCT97 (LHA-5) USS PELELIU 3RD DIV. DECK DEPT. Not proud of fucking up my career, but I more than made up for the bed I laid in.
Steven Anderson I am not quite sure which service you are referring to... if you mean Teamspeak, their web address is www.teamspeak.com If you mean Arma, you can find it at www.bistudio.com Other than that, I don't know. I hope I could help.
jesus, i had no idea this was an epidemic.. I'm watching videos on this all over the place on youtube.... this is very disgraceful.......................................................................what pisses me off even more than anything is that these fuckers try to defend themselves on their lies no matter how many times they get called out...
it amazes me how much they do actually know -- if i was a piece of shit and was going to fake it you would catch me real fast i dont know what any of the stuff they are asking about means --its like these liars study up on thier fake rank -- just amazing to me
Honestly, THANK YOU for this. I just ran into a guy at the mall with boyfriend who is in the Army. This guy tried to convince my boyfriend that they went to basic together but my boyfriend kept questioning him and his answers were bullshit. This guy called himself a specialist when his MOS is an 88M and he's only 18 years old. This stuf makes me sick but I am so glad there are people like you who show the world how awful this behavior is. Thank you for your service and god bless.
Well I was going to come in as an E-4 when I joined because I was going to be a Linguist but ended getting a different job. I was 17 when I joined. So being 18, a specialist and a truck driver doesn't that he was a fake.
I've randomly stumbled on these stolen valor videos and honestly, even as a civilian, some of this is just tough to watch and listen to all the way through.
Phillip Aubin I honestly didn’t even bother with the VA when I got discharged for personal reasons and cause some guys had it way worse with me. So I don’t even have a VA card. Idk why people ask for a VA card to verify cause not everyone has it. My license has “veteran” on it however.
Just stumbled on this, I'm glad you called him out, you can usually tell those who are fake. If he was for real, he would have simply said he would get his paper work and come back later. That said, I lost my 214 , when I ets'd out of Ft Dix ('72), they gave me a plastic coated sealed dd-214 and in my paperwork I had one also. Over the years I lost both. For some reason I needed mine a couple of years ago, so I got on the VA website and there is a place where you can request a copy, it costs (if I can recall, $5)
I never served for my country but all of my family did. I respect your courage and honor. Even though I never served I find it disgusting someone would pose as a veteran, because my family went through huge trials and tribulations after their service that they took with them to their graves. I always wanted to serve but I am a bit on the heavy side and they wouldn't let me join until I was recommended weight. I remember my family talking about the service but it all confuses me, but big props to you and your mates for fighting for my freedom.
A DD-214 is an important document that most rational thinking Veterans preserve and are able to present. With a legit DD-214 to verify service, Veterans in Tennessee can have a "Veteran" label applied to your personal driver's license.
They took my cac card when I got out. After a couple of weeks, I got my retired United States uniformed service Id (blue card). Has the rank I had when I was medically retired. Expiration date: INDEF. And a DoD Id number. I had to give my cac card to our unit's S shop, because they told me I couldn't keep it. Also have not got my VA Id yet, applied for the id almost 2 years ago. Lol they are very, very slow on that.
I got 214s everywhere. 2 in my truck, 1 in my wallet, 3 in the photo album next to my marriage license, 1 behind my shadowbox, 5 at my parents house and I got it scanned and saved on my computer at work.
I was told the first thing to did when I got out of the Navy was to have my DD214 copied at the local court house. Which I did. It got me a job with the state when I claimed vet states for the job I had to show it.
If you have PTSD the WORSE WORSE WORSE thing you can do is play ARMA. That should have been your first big red flag! :( Oh and always nice to meet another arma player! subscribed.
My dad had to get a copy of his dad’s discharge papers (the modern day DD214) bc in his old age gramps lost them. At the time, my dad worked out of the CNO’s office, and still I remember my dad having to write and to call and to pull strings to get those forms. At one point, dad said he might have to fly down to where they kept all DOD personnel records and get a power of attorney form. No one loses that form bc everyone in the military knows how fricking hard it is to get a copy.
As long as you're not flaunting it in public to try to get some kind of personal gain from it there is no problem. Also, please be honest if someone asks, lol.
Jonathan Suarez I guess I should also add, for legal purposes, you're technically not supposed to wear ranks, insignias, ribbons, etc. If it's just some kids playing and I saw it i wouldn't mind, hell, it gives them a goal if anything, but I'm just letting you know what you're technically allowed and not allowed
Cpt. Harold Saltzman As long as you don't have any unit patches (both station and combat) or rank on it then I see 0 issues with it when it comes to the ACUs... I don't know Marine uniforms enough to know what they would be cool with
My dad was in the air force during Vietnam flying A-37's. He has his draft cards, pins, vet card, but lost his 214 long time ago. I better tell him to get a replacement before some very young adults start acting like a bunch of school girls asking for it.
I served my 4 year hitch in the Worlds Greatest Navy..the US Navy. I was. boatswains mate, E-4. PO3, BM3, I stood watches, Qualified Helmsman, Carried a .45 on BMOW. I did time, I never saw combat, I served with Vietnam Vets that did.. 79-83, these guys served honorably, some made it home, some didn’t, I’m proud of my service, I was ready, able, and willing… along with all I served with…. But this kind of guy , that steals valor, lies, they are Cowards that fantasize over what others did..sickening…
When I view these stolen valor videos and hear clowns like this trying to pretend they were a brother or sister in uniform- im not sure if I should be pissed at them or feel sorry for them. He is not one of us and never will be. I served our great Nation for 24 solid years with the U.S. Army. I am proud of each and every brother / sister who has or does serve- its one of the most demanding jobs one can take! for those posers out there, I say this- just don't get caught by a real serviceman / woman on the wrong day!
Found this very humorous. I'm an Australian 6RAR Veteran with 24yrs service before being medically discharged in 2012. Loved working with you Americans in Afghan at FOB Ripley, Oruzgan province. We have our share of imposters but it seems to be an epidemic in the US. Here you can easily work out who's full of shit by asking a couple of simple questions like what's your Regimental number or Pmkeys number. The ADF is the best small army in the world so everyone has usually heard of that person, especially when they say they're special forces ie: SASR or 2Cdo. Why don't people say they were a bait layer (Army Cook)? Its always an Arms Corps and they always seem to have a Gallantry Medal or Unit Citation. As all Gallantry Awards are listed in the Military Gazzette and presented in the Australia Day and Queens birthday celebrations its easy to check. Or you say were you a Quarmbie (A person who squaregates while marching) and they have a blank expression and or say yes well that says it all. Personally my whole career was with the 6th Btn Royal Australian Regiment and deployed to East Timor as part of INTERFET and deployments to Iraq once in 2003 and Afghanistan twice, 2008 and 2010. Great job guys. Thanks for your service and I'll finish with the Australian Infantry motto. DUTY FIRST 🇦🇺🇺🇸🤝💪.
Ive never understood what drives people, especially combat vets to join a Milsim group & play combat , durring my 4 years in the Corps i experienced enough bad shit & terrifying shit to last me a lifetime,my MOS was 5812 Scout Tracker which assured every patrol would be uneventful training for my K 9 ,or absolute hell on earth,i never want to relive any of it,especially being forced to leave my best friend behind after he bravely served 3 combat tours with me but was considered property and only accounted for a number, way too much hurt to relive,i was 1/9 Bravo 1965-1969 .
I was stationed at Fort Hood in 1980-1981. We were 3rd Corps, consisting of the First Cav, the 2nd Armor Division, the 6th Aircav Brigade, and supporting units, making us equivalent to three divisions. The 4th ID has NEVER had units stationed at Fort Hood.
Regarding the CAC Card, you're actually NOT ALLOWED TO KEEP IT when you leave the Army (I still have mine anyways, due solely to the fact that I didn't have TIME to get to the MP station to turn mine IN when I was finaling out... and that was 2013.)
I was in 1-9 CAV, 1CD from Oct 97 to May 01. Medic. When was this recorded? I might know something or someone if its in that timeframe. Was also at Ft Hood Feb 08 to Jul 09. let me know. Hoo-ah
Even if he can’t find his 214, he can still request a copy with the approved documentation that is required for a reissue. Also, I got out in ‘01, served 10 years. Yes, the Internet was around, but it had not reached the level it is now, where everything is digital. I scanned mine because I am notorious for losing things. ✌️
Rick Roll If your Danny Davito I have a cast selection for you.. and I met you in a Cheferon station in Arcadia... If its you thats enough intel. oh it was circa 1986.
I always carry my service number and wear my i discs no matter where i am. And anyone i know that has served carry there info with them, its something to be proud of. Anyone that doesn't is in question. And should not be offended if confronted. Stolen valour is not only morally wrong its disrespectful to the fallen. Thank you for exposing this guy.
You got to keep your tags at ETS ? I had to hand it all over, just one among many things. I regretted not lieing so I could keep them! A few years later I ordered a set for medic-alert purposes from a private company. Been wearing them ever since. I don't carry paperwork (214) around but I do carry my retired Army ID card and VA card. My 214 would be tatters if I carried it around, having gotten out in 1983! You need to show a DD-214 when you first go to the VA to establish your eligibility- but from what I understand, somehow some people manage to fake it and get past that block with phony documents. I had always thought that they checked the 214s against an official DOD list- may be some identity theft going on there. One of the guys on this says ANYONE can get a VA card, which isn't exactly accurate- you need to have done 90 consecutive days of active service to qualify for treatment at a VA- unless you got a permanent disability during training. Anyway, I agree, no real Vet is offended if confronted, you show your shit and move on. We all know there is a large number of frauds out there so showing one's bona fides isn't a problem between Vets, only the fakes get upset. I've run into more than one of them. And you are absolutely correct- it IS morally wrong and disrespectful to the fallen.
It's extremely unfortunate that these kinds of people are free to roam around and make false claims. The internet makes it even worse simply because hiding behind a computer screen makes it even more of a challenge to crack down on it. Running a military simulation unit in a video game also seems to attract these people. I would honestly say that we have to deal with this a few times a month. Some get the idea that it's wrong right in the beginning, some have such believable stories (probably because they have been lying for years), however, it is always going to come back and bite them eventually. Their stories begin to change slowly over time, they get lost in their own lies, and dates usually never match up or change every time the story is told. The worst part about it all is that there is really no way to take action against these guys. It is protected under freedom of speech. All we can do as a unit is ban them from our servers and websites, and hope that they don't go lie somewhere else... People need to learn to respect veterans rather than play dress up and lie. Also, I never got any picture besides the squirrel with the AT4.. and his wife was nowhere to be found. This guy also runs a live stream and his false teeth fell out while he was live. Just added WTF status.
I was always hoping for a part 2 with this guy because it was a mixture of entertainment and annoyance that he couldn't even put in the time to properly research his bullshit. You know actually study. I'm guessing he didn't think we would catch on here and there that things weren't adding up. Personally I'm happy with my spot in the E-4 Mafia
Go check out Don Shipley youtube channel, he has dedicated his time to expose stolen valor. I wish more people would do this :) Its great you upload this video Ranger79. Thx brother :)
In Canada we (or at least I was) are provided with a picture ID with our rank on retirement and whether or not we were honorably released. Service number and years served is on it as well
Here's some great advice; If someone is wearing a Uniform that they bought, whether they are a, "fraud," or not, you have absolutely NO legal right to tell them to take it off or touch them or threaten them with bodily harm. They can press charges on you for assault, (or stalking, if you try following them,) and you'll most likely find yourself in the, "can." "Stolen Valor," only applies if they attempt to use their, "fake image," to receive services. Anything above that, you'll find yourself in hot water. (Make sure you actually know the Stolen Valor Act before you make the situation worse for yourself, especially.) And, DON'T lose your Military bearing on these guys. Call them out publicly if you want, but always keep your cool. You're the one actually representing the United States Military in the situation, so act like it. Show some restraint like the Soldier or Vet that you are. Don't act like the Police because you're NOT. Observe and report. And keep yourself out of jail. -MSG Forquet USA E-8 (ret.) 23 years active duty. 🇺🇲
Wow, I didn't know stolen valor is even a thing... wtf sad... if I was a vet, and someone called me out for being a fake, I doubt my response would be "I don't care if you think I'm lieing or not"...
I served for 5 years and I have only met one guy personally who lied about being in the army. I let him ramble for 30mins before I exposed him. He said the same thing - 'I don't care if you don't believe me' . The thing is, I think he must have been saying all these lies for such a long time that he actually believed his own bullshit. He was/is a very sad man indeed. What I can never work out about imposters is why the hell didn't they just sign up and experience military life for real. They would never forget it, good or bad, and their lives would never be the same again. Take all imposters and send them to the latest war zone. They would soon work out if they were cut out for military.
I'm only a garbage man .....thank you for for you all the things that you do do ...it was my honor to know the men and women ...who served ...and continue to serve.....once again thank you ....
Alright, I get this is 8 years in the future, but I would never EVER show someone my DD-214 except a potential employer who REQUIRED it. The guy saying he has so many copies of his DD-214 came off as a little suspect, as did the guy who said employers need your 214 to verify honorable discharge. This is not true and hasn't been for MANY decades. If you get a Big Chicken Dinner or OTH, you WILL fail a background check because OSI will enter you in NCIC. It's the same as being a felon. While the guy is obviously lying about his service, nobody should have believed him in the first place. It was a little rough when the young guy said a VA card would be enough and then changed his mind when the faker showed one. Stolen valor doesn't hurt anyone (and isn't a crime) unless they get financial or material gain from it. I don't care about stolen valor as a vet, and seeing these young fellas getting so worked up about is kinda concerning.
Not sure I can agree with "lying to everyone doesn't hurt anyone." Especially in the context of lying to a group of what are supposedly actual vets in an attempt to impress them or whatever. Plus I don't see the point of adding that it's not a crime, as if that makes it okay socially.
@@PistenDeer People lie to impress other people all the time. Sometimes a little, sometimes a lot. A "damn that sucks dude, don't play with us anymore" would have done in this case. It's not socially acceptable but it doesn't hurt anyone.
I have to ask, does the army give a DD-214 for after you get back from a deployment deployments, as being a Navy Vet, I only got one DD-214 and that was when I got out of the Navy... Also the new Vet ID Cards are a bit more advanced looking as well.
URGENT MESSAGE TO VETERANS: From a US soldier, Stop posting information about your Military career, yes you are proud and proving your status as veterans, but all your doing is feeding these impersonating assholes ammunition to continue the charade.
I just don't know why that dragged on for so long. You either have a DD-214 or you don't. I'm not in the military, never been in the military, but I know you're supposed to have that if you've been in the military. He obviously didn't so my stance "don't talk to me until you do." End of story, I got somewhere to be.
So my dad was a marine in the 70's and after watching this I went home and asked him where his dd214 is and he told me exactly where it is he also said that if you are really in the military it is not difficult to get because the military knows exactly who has served.
Haha this is great to listen to. I mean I've been out for almost ten years now (CAF) and I can still remember my MOS, service number, date enlisted and date I got out. I was never even deployed or anything exciting like that, but it still sticks with me. Haha some things are drilled so far into you that it's impossible to forget.
