I never got into this kind of trouble whenever I impersonated an Army officer. Everyone would wave and thank me for my service by patting me on the back. It was wonderful. After I turned eight, I decided to be a Fireman instead
how dare you accuse him of stolen valor, back in 2010 I served with the United States 82nd Xbox live division, both the 82nd and the Aussie division were tasked with forcing the Russians out of Saudi Arabia as part of Operation Firestorm! we were both rewarded the 3rd Battlefield medal of bravery by GEN. Dice and Cpl. E.A. Frostbite!
Commonly known as 'can't see me suits' but since they are now made in China, everyone can see them. I thought his beret looked odd and if was in the Navy and joined Commando selection and failed he'd go back to the Navy. By saying he went to Kapooka tells me he thinks he's a regular and Commandos are reservists. SAS are regulars. "I pulled this out of the cupboard this morning" What? Does he think his flag patch jumps from shoulder to shoulder during the night and they all play hooky in the cupboard?
For anyone wondering what happened after... "Police inquiries with the Australian Defence Force confirmed the 41-year-old Ashmore man had been discharged from the army in July last year and had only served as a recruit for two months. Sen-Sgt Reid said RAP had also spoken with the Navy who confirmed he had also never been a clearance diver. The man’s uniform was seized by police and he has been charged under the Commonwealth Criminal Code for impersonating a Commonwealth Officer, a charge that holds a maximum penalty of two years in jail. He will be fronting the Commonwealth Court at the Southport Magistrates Court."
@@TrailBlazer65 Court Cases are open to public, and I enjoy going to watch cases at my local and supreme Court. Idk why, just interesting. Don't really remember much of what happened, just rang a bell the charge
You could hear that from the start when the sgt identified himself. Tried to comfort himself taking a sip of his coffee and give himself time to think lol
I served with this Guy... He’s a good soldier... He would occasionally give me medi packs, and would sometimes drop weapons that I would pick up... Then my wifi was disconnected and we fell outta contact as many veterans do over the years...🤷🏻♂️😅
@@clemsi7596 what’s wrong with that? There letting people know that there phonies, let them be ashamed and embarrassed. A lot of the time they’ve had friends die wearing those uniforms. Idk I don’t see the problem with it 🤷♂️
@@clemsi7596well you have to remember a lot of veterans see and do very disturbing things during their service. A lot of them have to see team mates get killed in the line of service. So it’s understandable that when they see a fake soldier, they react with hostility.
+Jacob Mault It's not the same in Aus, you are given a number after enlisting. It's actually called a PmKeys number now, not a service number, though people who enlisted prior to Pmkeys would also have a service number. If this member was still serving but discharging he would still have his Army photo ID with PmKeys number on it until the last time he drives out the barracks gate. Being in uniform with no ID is an immediate give away and (maybe?) an offense under the DFDA.
@Sharpy Sorry to hear that too. I was just having a poke at your comment for a laugh. I could have used better analogy other then mum and dads number but as a young lad leaving home, I had it etched in my mind and still iss. Take care
Looking at the comments section, this man really is an inspiration. The number of people who've met him is a testimony to the countless battles and war he's fought in and his bravery to fight for whatever country he's serving.
i served with this guy in normandy when we landed on the beaches.....he took out an entire german machine gun nest on his own......i can vouch for this guy....he is legit
***** i know it says Straya. and yes, i know about Kapooka. i'm australian myself. but i only ever heard of that kind of bullshit in america. i never thought it would ever happen here
***** not to mention, any spec forces soldier at all, i dont even think much regular soldiers even brag about it at all. i know that in america that stolen valour is bad in the US and we are sorry that you have to put up with that kind of level of bullshit that they do. this is the first of its kind i ever heard of in australia. this man is actually arrested for the charge of impersonating a commonwealth officer and the max penalty is 2 years in jail (we say commonwealth because we are owned under the crown)
Richard oh yeah cause if you go to a fancy dress party you don’t leave the party at all. And there is no way anyone could ever go to McDonald’s whilst dressed up for said party. 🙄🙄
He's legit, he was a medic in the front line, I watched him revive 2 soldiers and almost made it to prestige 6 until mum took the Playstation after I failed maths
@ work, we had a guy that lied about his military service. LOL. Some guys that actually served started to get suspicious of him. Certain things he claimed that they said were not accurate. He had dog tags. He has a bag that he said was military issue. The army guys said that he bought that at a surplus store. Once he claimed he had to get some time off for training or something. The boss received an email for a sargent at a gmail account. LOL. With that said, why would he answer these questions. I would tell him to f off. I have places to go. LOL.
I still remember my service number and i've been out 23 years. number, rank and name. If you didnt remember this in basic training you spent a lot longer in the gas chamber.
+Scott Amon I think actually its not the flag, its the Australian Army insignia of the rising sun, or "sun never setting on the British Empire" if you want the 1914 meaning. It is a semi-circular badge with a crown in the middle on a patch which is oval in shape and referred to as a "biscuit" shape. And yes, it should be on the left shoulder not the right
Doesnt take 10 seconds to google an image of a soldier from your country.... learn a few tips on where patches go. But still. " im gonna need your service number " * guy shits himself ............... *
WAIT he’s for real! I remember this guy. We both served together in the 501st, led by Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker, during the clone wars in a galaxy far far away.
Shit 501st?? Lucky Trooper >:( My booty got fucked in the 442nd on Ringo Vinda during the siege of Cato Neimoidia, bastard clankers took my anal virginity
@@willm687 Yet the funny part is us Americans face a significantly higher threat that you Aussies do. You face what?...a pocket knife? Maybe a punk kid with a paint can? And we face, drug cartels, mafias, black market arms dealers, and we are home to one of the most violent gangs in the world, the MS13. And we should just calmly talk them into submission? Please. Hell, I don't think our police have enough APC's with how many gangs are armed with stolen military surplus. The MS13 kills soldiers in El Salvador and steals M16's and hand grenades and brings them back to the U.S. And they have about 30,000 active members. Do you realize how big that is? That's comparable to 3 military divisions.
+BaSH PROMPT (ಠ,ಠ) That still doesn't answer the question the officer asked him. Who's this person? Oh that's a woman. Doesn't name her rank or position. It's just as stupid as his first answer.
That's where you are wrong my good sir, we were fighting against the armies of isengard at helms deep, did not fight against the armies of Lord of for he was gravely injured at helms deep
I get it. haha You're info of which army you fought at Helm's deep being wrong is like you posing as a stolen valor yourself along with this feller that you're legitimizing. Veeery clever.
@The bearded guy Totally agree. I was in the Army Reserves for a few years from when I was 18. I'm over 55 now, and I still remember my old service number. Hate these pricks.
I don't really care either way what happens, but THIS is the way it should be handled. Very calmly, professionally, and without being like "STOLEN VALOUR MUH FRIENDS IS DED"
Imagine working on something for years hard work you've lost many friends in the process of getting it done and you see someone holding a fake replica claiming they did the work the lost their friends they did all the shit you did when they didn't do you know how infuriating that would be I would gladly watch a marine scream at a phony if it meant he would never falsely wear the uniform again
+Nikolaj Pedersen It's called a fucking analogy moron and if the guy is getting calmly told to take the uniform off then he's going to do it again i have a perfect analogy that will get it through your dense skull but you'd probably bitch at me about that
One thing that gives it away straight away is his uniform. The sergeant was right about the heightened terrorist threats and not to wear uniform in public
My grandad could still rattle off his number on his deathbed. He barely had the strength to mumble and didn't know where he was. But he could still recite his service number. You just dont forget that shit!
I left 2006 or 8 can't remember but service number is 25191079 2nd battalion royal Anglian regiment you never forget your number ha ha you say it every day
+srsly2 i was not directing my comment to you i was directing it to "no name" just having a gigle when he wrote jesus ahaha. but yeah i live nesr this gc maccas aye and this fella was on the news. oi jesus does have a burdon of proof but also you dont need to make everyone propve what they have to say. you sound a bit boring lol
He isn't a fake. I'm a General Sergeant Private Major Colonel Brigadier Field Marshal Corporal Warrant Officer Class 1 in the 21947th RAR Recon Armoured Infantry Airborne Sniper Regiment. I've served with him in Iraq. We both did 39 tours. We also both served in Vietnam and World War II. He's my CO. I have 32 Victoria Crosses and 19 MM's and 25 DSM's. He isn't a lair. This copper is a liar.
Oh, its you! I remember you, sir. It's me, Sergeant Major General Lieutnant Lance-Corporal Private Johnson. The man Corporal Sergeant Captain Colonel Willsons took a bullet for me on my 17th tour. He got his 93rd George Cross for it. Good to see your, Sir!
Hi General Sergeant Private Major Colonel Brigadier Field Marshal Corporal Warrant Officer Class 1, remember me, I was a 1st class petty officer chief leading hand dibdab, we had beers together once !
Yea I'm a general corporal first class lietenant. I think your all phonys just trying to be cool. my friends died fighting osama in the korean war I also lost my leg to some guy camping behind a tree with an RPG and y'all phonys are joking about some serious shit
I come from a very poor family. My mother used to get all our clothes from the local Army surplus store. My first day at school I went dressed as a Japanese field marshal.
True Story-I would like to thank this channel for pointing me in the right direction. I had a very abusive stepfather who claimed he was a POW in WW2. I never believed him as when he got drunk he would tell conflicting stories. I was watching one of your videos & i stumbled upon a website that outed people who were stealing soldiers identitys. Through speaking with a researcher from this website he found the grave site of the real soldier who passed away in 2017. I checked the service record number & my stepfather was using the same record number. He had stolen this soldiers identity from a very young age. My stepfather had never been in the army. Every ANZAC day i had to watch him march down the streets of Sydney with all these medals that the real soldier had earned or most likely purchased from a collector. The surviving members of the unit had either 2 or 3 medals. My stepfather had 19!!!! I have contacted the Police & they are looking at charging him with various counts of Fraud, stolen identity & many various charges. One of his biggest mistakes was he wrote a book telling his BS stories of being a POW & being a mastermind of attempted escape of attempts. My goal is to have the appropiate medals returned to his family. I have always believed in Karma & hopefully he will spend the rest of his life in a prison Infirmary. "If you tell the truth it becomes part of your past. If you tell a lie it becomes part of your future,"
@@Dang00TheAlienIAmTheRealOne Yes Dan, He has been charged with 34 counts of Fraud, Stolen Identity, Tax Evasion, Welfare Fraud & obtaining financial gain by deception in making proceeds from his book of lies he had printed. Heis looking at between 8-12 years in Prison. he will die in prison. It took a lot of investigation but here is the backstory. He did sign up for the Infantry when the ship came to take the troops to Cairo, Egypt he ran to the hills rather than be a man & fight for his country. Until the 1973 under the Department of Defence Act it says "No soldier will be executed except for 4 breaches. 1) Dereliction of Duty, 2) Runnibg away & fighting for the enemy , 3) Espionage &4) Going absent without leave. Knowing full well he was facing a death sentence he needed to steal someones identity. He chose the identity of a actual soldier, used his, name, date of birth, service number , everything. He literally became a double of this person & since 1945 he would tell all his fake stories to his friends or anybody who would listen to him. He became a Paedophile. Because of the shame of being a coward & therefore not feeling like a true man he would rape young boys between 4-12. This is how he would reclaim his power by raping little innocent, defenceless children. I pray that there is a heaven & hell as i really hope he suffers in the after life but i have been assured that he will suffer in Prison as in Australia we all know what happens to Pardpophiles in prion. Not even gangs in prison will offer them protections. It's being a long journey but at last he will pay the price he deserves. All his medals in his posession have being seized & the appropiate medals sent to the real soldiers surviving family. Hope he rots in hell for eternity.
+Etienne Pretorius Hey!! We have all fought battles in BF, you dont know the pressure u get if you havent played it. Enemies dropping in parachutes everywhere, it is a war.
In Slovenia it is legal to wear our army's uniform you just have to remove the banner, nametag and decorations, just plain uniform. I don't know what the fine is, but if I would prove someone impersonating, I would report him and whatever happens happens. Because this is fucked up and dishonorable and these assholes deserve to stand infront of firing squad or if you want more "humane" execution(firing squad is the most humane in my opinion), electric chair. And not ten years later, they should be shocked right away. And with dry sponge(Green Mile). I would realy struggle not to bust their teeth in these situations. I have too much dignity and respect for serviceman, police(I don't like having police around me at any time, even if it is just my neighbour son and in civil, just asking me to help him with something, I just don't like them) and ambulance to do such thing. But I am volunteer firefighter and so is half of my family and hopefuly I will also serve the army next year. I was in volunteer service, but I fucked up after that. I miss those three months of service, it was awesome.
He was my opo during my IETs, we were door gunners during a Space Shuttle mission, he said he was keen for SF......glad he made it through, was an awesome operator. But so glad he was rocking the IR patch on his left sleeve, which ensure's he safe from any CAS fire....but those ANF patches do have a tendancy to jump from one velcro patch on one side to the other, it was a constant bug bear of mine.
This guy was an elephant rider for the Carthaginian Empire in the Second Punic war. He got lost in the Swiss Alps though, and only made it back to base last weekend - that's why his uniform isn't up to date.
