reminds me of us in color guard... jazz walks and runs and the different dances we have to do. People think its so much easier then it actually is. Same thing with cheer. Real cheer is not as easy as people think it is.

So-So-So MUCH RESPECT for Stepping! It’s phenomenal to watch. . . But the average person has NO IDEA how HARD it is as the claps are before the stepping plus, exactly as the Captain states, “BOTH have to be TIGHT + EVERYONE in UNISON!” I feel it should also be noted that this TEAM is working HARD outside in the heat & Stepping on CONCRETE vs a wood floor!! Whew😥!! You ladies & guy have MAD skills! From as far back as I can recall, I ALWAYS WANTED to learn Stepping. . . Although, yes, I’m white. . . And once was told that “. . .it’s disrespectful for a white person to step.” It makes me extremely happy to see a white girl + a guy on your Step team! Everyone is so respectful towards each other! I love 💗 SPIRIT & UNITY in DIVERSITY! You have gained a new follower! 😊

I’ll request that you check out Winston Salem State, St Augustine’s University, Virgina Union… They have top tier male cheerleaders that do not shake and bring all the energy and sass. When Leander gets into the groove of stomp n shake, he’ll bring it and make you eat your words. You can still bring the enthusiasm even without shakes.

It’s interesting to see this dynamic of cheerleading. I have daughters in all star cheer and we stopped speaking/saying words a few years ago. Now it’s all stunt jump tumble and dance. I coached and used a little stomp and clap in my dance many years ago. It was very fitting. ❤

This is really called Stepping. It use to be separate from cheer and there was whole step competitions. This is not that new of a concept. And idk why call it cheerleading at all when barely any cheer techniques are used. This is mainly stepping with some cheer elements. SMH I hope at some point they get actual cheer skills but if they won’t just call it what it is a Step Team.

Could be because boys’ pelvises don’t shake as easily as girls’. They don’t tend to have the same full circle of movement, but I still think they should do it if they can!

Young man do yourself a huge favor not knocking you I am proud of you just want you to call couches, rob, tya, tia, trina or Nia to help you touching up me. Most of your motions aren't there yet I believe in you and know you can do it. Their nor going to have you shake at all, when you chant touching up to let them know you here for it. Wish I loved down there to talk to you more about it. Some of you ladies are moving fast slow it down a little I love it let the older girls help you out as well. My baby girl is white and does stomp cheer helps her cheer sisters with the cheers to learn and became head cheerleader this year a Mamma couldn't be prouder baby girl got that cheer voice too ❤❤❤❤ oh and she's really shy but cheer is a blessing to her cuz it really made her come out of shell
