@@truthteller9772 Michael's official cause of death was Heart Failure... To insinuate that Michael's heart condition may have been caused by chemical dependency is purely speculative... And Michael loved his brother Scott deeply, and Scott loved Michael... they were a lot alike those two...and they both loved Zep! That's partly why this song seemed a fitting tribute to the brothers-- "He said it's alright, you know it's alright...I guess it's all in my heart" 💘
Regardless of what Scott did in his personal life, he was still a human being that loved his fans and gave it his all when you paid to see him. No one is perfect and Scott wasn't afraid to admit his drug use and it's something I respected him for. His music will live on in all of us.. Scott Rest in Peace!
And I hope he repented before he died. It saddens me to know how many more souls are in hell than heaven. We are firat and foremost spirtual.beings. The more we learn about Jesus the better our life with Him. Too many were tricked by this sinful type.of music. Bewate the powers and prince of the air who is Satan.
isn't it ironic that in life the truly gifted are so often misunderstood that they're dismissed for the very talents that aroused the suspicion and subconscious envy of others that only in death are they finally exonerated accepted and ultimately celebrated by the very same ignoramuses who formerly refused them for the dead can no longer threaten to continually astound the fearfully intimidated less talented ones. Scott's real curse was that he was lightyears ahead of his time.
Mark Racco All we as fans can say, (in my opinion) thankfully, there were those of us who understood to the extent of our personal experiences and expressed sympathy, empathy and gratitude to this beautiful human being while he was here to share his gifts with us and we still remain grateful after his passing ... 😢😊😢😊😢😊😢😊❤️❤️❤️❤️
And to think they were bashed so much I felt guilty for liking them in the day . I saw it, and by Tiny Music most others had to admit it . Also, pulling 27 yo Leslie Mann as a “groupie” (jj of course) speaks to the highest quality lol . Hey Marc great doc . You still make movies ?
Beautifully fucking articulated. I never stopped loving and hoping for Scott. I only ever wanted to see him thrive and continue to be the greatest man and artist he could be. I miss him. ❤️
At the time we made this Scott was still alive and thriving... i had kept those masters at my dear friend and long time editing partner Jamie Mitchell's home and place of business Beachwood Cottage Films, but tragically not long after Scott passed away, I'd suggested to Jamie we amend the ending to include Scott with Michael in the tribute fade which he insisted we'd attend to as soon as he could but Jamie was suffering from chronic health problems by this time too and had become physically handicapped and sadly Jamie too passed away not long after Scott. So it really should read: for Michael for Scott and for Jamie...brothers all may they R.I.P. I'd personally known Michael the longest He and I had become fast friends in 97 well before He would end up introducing me to Scott at a New Years Eve party In the Hollywood Hills in 98... We worked together on several projects Michael mostly liked the Art Department though he was also uniquely talented and could do pretty much anything on set and was fun to work with so he quickly became a staple in my skeleton crew, he was also a fabulous percussionist. Scott and I would first work together during a project I was filming for Limp Bizkit documenting the making are there a sophomore album "significant other" which featured Scott as both a guest Vocalist and collaborator along with Fred and a list of others. Jamie would begin working with me in 04 on Panic Chanell, Dave Navarro's pet project together with the remaining Jane's lineup of that time only featuring Steve Isaacs on Lead Vocals Chris Chambers on Bass and Steven Perkins on drums... Perry was taking a break the band persuing His own solo project... it's all very interconnected and complicated...
Thanks so much for releasing this. Scott truly was a beautiful Soul. I always loved this version of Dancing Days. The song is particularly meaningful to me,way back from when I was 12. This is a reminder of the power of Music and Art bringing everyone together.
Ivan Mullarkey cool? Did you text the word cool? Well let it be known that his work his voice and ability to write beautiful music is cool . But drugs are NOT cool. It’s the truth.
He was a true performer, he became different characters as he performed his music for us. From the angelic, lovestruck melody man on Atlanta to the growling, prowling, frightening date rapist on Sex Type Thing. Anyone can sing a STP song but Scott performed them for us like nobody else could ever do. 😎
@@bettyalvey323 I agree with everything you say about performance. I was lucky enough to see them at a very intimate venue in Norfolk VA called"The Norva"..An old building that was originally built for plays, but would book whatever entertainment to keep the doors open. Out of that live music reigned king,& reputation of the sound spread. Through the years it's closed & been reopened for many other businesses mainly involving night culture,& multiple clubs that opened strong, last 2 years than go out of business as Downtowns businesses declined & crime rose till it finally sat empty,& ran down for years. Then they started projects to revive Downtown. The building was bought & refurbished all original wood instead of remodeling & opened up as a music venue,& the sound was the leading star.. Not notoriously famous for its Natural Acoustics achieving borderline sound perfection, within musician circles from all genres, walks of life, & stages of careers.Might see an Indy band on a Monday, to underground punk band on a Tuesday then catch Dave Matthews(who actually picked it for a couple recordings off they're live album) Willy Nelson, McCartney, Drake,& Pearl Jam in the same week. Sound quality that's borderline perfection due to natural acousticas (usually crediting the og design for play actor's to be heard un-mic'd,& all original wood). My point in all this? Not just anybody can sing the extremely wide range of vocals that Scott could, & did flawless sooo consistent. We all seen what happened when Chester Bennington tried to front STP & dude can sing in his own right. Scott read exceptional with stage presence, & performance. But he could be behind a curtain & you'd know they had a one of a kind lead singer. I seen dude kill it for an almost 3 hour set that read flawless 5 feet in front of me, & have 5 people that was with me that would say the same. Best live show all of us had seen, & all of us has seen a LOT OF SHOWS. You knew you were witnessing a would be LEGEND.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart RU-vid for allowing me to find this rare gem. Scott was a gift to music with his wide range and versatility. There will never be another frontman like him. ❤️ RIP SCOTT
Every time I here Scott it takes me back to a time In my life when life Was all about you and your buddy's riding around drinking and smoking having the time of our lives fresh out of school party's all the time bonfires 4 wheelers going to the lake floating the buffalo I mean their was always something to do and all your friends were still around they hadn't all moved off got married or passed away that's when life was good and the music was the best it will ever be. Thanks Scott for all the songs that seemed like you pulled them right out of my head their will never be another Scott Weiland, Kurt Cobain, Lane Staley or Chris Cornell. Thanks guys.
I'm crying hearing my fav zep song with Scott's voice, I didn't know about this, we miss you Scott. One of the best shows I've seen here in Buenos Aires.
Scott Weiland what an amazing talent and human being, R.I.P. Scot you're missed tremendously. Heaven is getting packed with all this grunge and post grunge great singers
Lots of video of his brother Mike that died. He had another brother die at a young age. I don't think I could handle all that if I had an addiction. Thanks for all the timeless music Scott, rest in peace. Wish you were here.
@@jinxie47 that would be really hard to deal with. If you have read his book you should read Mary Forsbergs as well. I think it's called falling to pieces. She is the mother of his kids and it gives the perspective of her being his wife. I highly recommend it. It's a very honest, clear headed account of those times. Pray for Noah and Lucy Weiland, they lost their dad a long time ago!
chawles gail OMG! Really! I hope I get her book in soon! I’m still so sad about Scott’s life! The more I read and see interviews of people talking about him.. that were in his life... it upsets me that those people didn’t gather together and stay head fast at helping him! He was so worth it if they had!
It's like being in a time warp. Seeing led zeppelin in the flesh. The talent is unreal. Rip Scott Weiland. Shit you nailed it every time. Why did you leave so soon?
12-10-2016 I almost left this world and met you in heaven... :'( I'm so happy too be alive man I wish you was still here I love Scott you was an amazing human being and an under estimated human being.. look twice save a life people. I'm still bed bound.
Dancing days are here again As the summer evenings grow I got my flower, I got my power I got a woman who knows You know it's all right I said it's all right I guess it's all in my heart You'll be my only, my one and only If that's the way it should start Crazy ways are evident In the way you're wearing your clothes Sippin' booze is precedent As the evening starts to glow I said it's all right You know it's all right I guess it's all in my heart You'll be my only, my one and only If that's the way it should start I told your mama I'd get you home But you didn't say I got no car I saw a lion, he was standing alone With a tadpole in a jar I know it's all right You said it's all right I guess it's all in my heart You'll be my only my one and only If that's the way it should start Dancing days are here again As the summer evenings grow You are my flower, you are my power You are my woman who knows You know it's all right I said it's all right I guess it's all in my heart You'll be my only, my one and only If that the way it should start
He looks so happy here despite the circumstances. I don't remember seeing Scott looking so great. What a brilliant beautiful song that will last through the ages.
GOAT Front-man. Scott left it all on stage every 8 times I seen STP Live fr Aug 1994-March 2010. NEVER! EVER! have or would see Stone Temple Pilots WITHOUT Weiland......
I always loved this song.... i never knew it was a cover.. and when i refer to this song i still believe its theirs. This song was meant for Scott Props to Zeppelin,
Together as a band, STP has written some of the most cherished melodies of my life. The drugs, tabloid missteps and cliches were fuel for these creative visions brought to life. Thanks guys for all the yellow nectarines and dragon flies gliding over.
49 years old and I still think these guys were one of the best bands ever. I have heard most of them. To remake that song took guts and it was better than the original. Where have these bands gone? What the hell is there to listen to now? Disney channel actors turned rockers? I do not thing so.
I absolutely adore this music video especially the relationship that Scott had with his brother Michael !!!!! It’s so sad that Michael passed away so young 💔💔💔💔💔💔😢😢😢😢
Did anyone notice actree Leslie Mann at 1:58? (The Cable Guy. 40 Year old Virgin. Knocked Up. Big Daddy)Nice to see that band being civil to each other. Though, Dean and him didn't much.
WOW I was THERE! Miller Beer Secret concert. Won a radio contest & flown from L.A. to stay @ The Mirage and had NO IDEA who we were seeing. Tenacious D. the opening act booed off the stage. Jack Black NOT famous then. I met by accident in the crowd the promoter from Miller from back in the days in NYC as the vocalist for " Columbian Necktie" - Free drink tickets. Score. Nice!! How he knew me? Guess I made an impact in my own way. Small world. Great show...
Seen them in Fresno 1999 at 13 yrs playing with the chili peppers Scott was such a graceful and intriguing performer such a great band rip Scott weilland thanks for all the great music that enriches our lives in these moments of bliss
Didn't he just get out of serving a small stint in the pokey at the time? Great film work man! I recall this show was on ppv at the time though they didn't show em play Dancing Days. I have it on vhs somewhere lol. I probably watched it a million times over the years lol. I could be wrong but I swear this is from the same show. I was having my own sobriety issues at the time and it's all a little hazy lol.
yes Dancin Days was cut from the original broadcast. personally it was one of my favorite moments in the set so I went into my copy of the original master of the footage and together with editor Jamie Mitchell assembeled this clip as a tribute to Scott's brother Michael who had recently passed at time of posting.
This is my favorite STP video on RU-vid. Thank you SO MUCH for sharing it. ScoScott is my 2nd favorite rock singer of all-time and one of the TOP 3 sexiest men of all time. I miss him every day...
2nd favorite rock singer of all-time? Not ripping on your opinion. Just wondering who you have at number 1? Scott Weiland is THE GREATEST FRONTMAN, VOCALIST, LYRICIST OF ALL-TIME!!!
