many people don't realize how much the bass guitar contributes to metal/hard rock songs, the bass's chunky hard tone is what really brings out the awesome sound in this song! Love it!

I met Scott Weiland once. He was having a drink and he had on a pink scarf. I was so nervous to talk to him, but I wanted to let him know how much I loved STP. I said hi and he looked at me and I froze...then the first thing I blurted out was "nice scarf". I don't know if he thought I was mocking him, but he just responded with an ice cold "Thanks" and went back to his drink. Before I could say anything else, my buddy grabbed me by the arm and said "You've embarrassed yourself enough, let's go home". Such a great front man. RIP Scott.

Scott was a super introvert that's why you don't see a lot of interviews with him but he also had a side to him that enjoyed peacocking (interesting clothes and such) while intoxicated for the various reasons he felt necessary to relieve himself from himself. I'd wager his only bother would be of you not trying to offend his choices yet inside he would still be thrilled you recognized him.

I totally agree with you. Robert plays the guitar just as well as Dean.. Dean is just as amazing live unlike a few of the greats I've seen live... Eddie Van Halen over plays and way too loud. Jimmy Page is very sloppy and was out of tune both times I saw Page and Plant. Dean is in my top three.

Rarely comment but in a certain mood at the moment. Fell in love with this band after "Big Bang Baby " dropped. The retro video and drastic change in style that everyone was fawning over had me mesmerized. I couldn't put my finger on it then but I can clearly see now that it was rock n roll. It was the closest I would ever come to seeing the Beatles or Hendrix or The New York Dolls in my suburban, safe, middle class world. And predictably most in my peer group jumped off just when things were getting good. I could go on forever about how this band has been overlooked and underappreciated in its time but like all great art I'm confident they will be vindicated as the years go by. Never said they were the greatest band ever but if you saw them live after this album dropped and the Shangri tour consider yourself lucky. No comparison to Pearl Jam or any other critique matters after that. Thanks for the ride, boys.

this guy scott seriously had one of the most unique and versatile voices known to man theres not many out there that can give you a different sounding voice with basically every song they write scott was brilliant in my opinion with stone temple piolets velvet revolver and even on his solo stuff he was remarkable very gifted and bright artist rarely ever disappointed reminds me of chris cornell everything he touched musically had great artistry and depth to it hes gone way to soon its sad he couldent overcome his depression and darkness he along with chris were absolutely brilliant geniuses

First thing I see this morning when I open my eyes is the news reporting that Scott is dead! My heart hearts!! He was the last remaining rock star of the 90's that has put out music recently that I love! RIP scott
