Vinicius Rosa well by original do you mean the studio version? a lot of times a director is behind the glass , adjusting and making commentary the band has to listen to. the reason I usually prefer live performances is because they have total control over what it sounds like
This was before his voice went to shit. He lost all the bass in his voice by 96 when Tiny Music was recorded. He got sober for two years and sounded better, but not the same for the N. 4 album. Then fell off the wagon hard and became the Scott Weiland train wreck show. I love these guys with all my heart since the age of ten (I'm 30 now). It's a damned shame. Self indulgence and addictive personalities can ruin even the best things.
Dystopia1980 it's not just drugs. In the early stp era he was really singing below his natural range and it fucked his voice. You can hear him straining all the time in early live videos.
What a shame. I listened to their performance of this song in Live in the Windy City and man, he just doesn't sound quite as deep anymore. Like there's no bass in his voice. Why do you think this is? The drugs?
+Necro Orcen Wrong. Just wrong. Not trying to be mean to you or anything. Scott Weiland was singing baritone style since 1990 before grunge became hugely popular and a little bit before Pearl Jam was even a band. Scott Weiland never copied Eddie Vedder, they were both influenced by Jim Morrison from The Doors. Fun fact, Eddie was living in San Diego California before he joined Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots are from the same place, San Diego, California.
He clearly lost 30 pounds after 1994.. crack and/or heroin is a hell of a drug. This guy should have been cutting records till age 75 just like Sinatra.
