I loved how Every show, he would just gradually take off one piece of clothing after another, and sometimes he’d even get to dropping his pants and get totally naked, tying an American flag around his waist. 😂 when he was on, no one could touch him on stage. Phenomenal front man; he’s also the only man my ex husband said he’d sleep with. Which I supported all the way. 😂🤣 And Don’t forget Scott’s incredible charisma and killer sense of style. The hat he has on is scrumptious. Even 23 years later, it’s fckng cool. Would wear it in a heartbeat.

It a cover and live. Anything is different live and sang by someone else. But I say he did a good job only singer that could have filled the shoes of jim Morrison.

@@robertrussell4035 Check out Scott singing with the Doors. I fuckin love the doors. When Scott sang with them his vocals were much better. I had the pleasure of seeing STP in 96. I've seen so many concerts, but I can honestly say that one was the best concert I've ever seen. I was even into other bands more, but he blew me away. The rest of the band was good, but you just couldn't take your eyes off Scott. I'm telling you, I've seen massively popular bands, but that concert he was at his peak and it was surreal.

Watch Scott with the Doors. His vocals are better with them. And honestly, I know it wasn't live however, let's not forget Val Kilmer sang everything during the filming of the Doors. The rest of the band had dinner with Val Kilmer before they filmed. All of them were pretty freaked out by the end because he had Jim's mannerisms down and already had the hair and by the end of the dinner they felt like they were having dinner with Jim. I honestly don't know anyone else I have ever heard do a better impression of Jim than Val Kilmer. Scott didn't sound the greatest in this particular video, but he did sound better singing with the doors. I got to see STP in 96 and it was the best concert I've ever seen and I've seen a lot, including Creed in a smaller venue right as they were blowing up. There were many other bands I liked better before I went to see STP, but I could not take my eyes off Scott the whole entire time because he was just incredible. I'm a singer myself, however I've definitely seen and heard Scott do much better this video. There is a reason though that everyone said Scott was one of the best frontman of all time for two bands actually. I owned all the CDs of the bands I mentioned and saw them, however honestly though Val Kilmer, I don't know if anyone can top him as a substitute for Jim. It would be interesting what he would have sounded like live. Again not live performances, however Joaquin Phoenix doing Johnny Cash and Jamie Foxx doing Ray Charles, they were all so incredible. Like I said I'm a singer myself and there's a lot of acting that goes into performances. I'm never really surprised when a singer ends up going to acting because the show is a lot of acting. However actors transitioning to singers don't always work out. These three films and people were honestly outstanding and surpassed all my expectations. Anyway, check out Scott singing with the doors. He sounds much better than this. I did enjoy Robby Krieger and this and the playfulness with the band.

He was the best. And it wasn't just about being a frontman. He did that with the best of them. Let's not forget his lyrics, which were mind blowing. Let's also remember that he took mediocre rock music (not great, not bad) and Weilandized it. He made it great, he made it classic. This man had soul inside him. I think he appreciated the indulgences that success afforded him and wanted only to give more. Of course it doesn't always work out that way. I know in my heart that he always had us in mind. Maybe that was one of his faults...

Layne is the only vocalist of 90's I have in same regards as Scott!

Layne didn’t do very many covers after his very early years. But I know of a couple Alice In Chains did at Bogarts in Cincinnati in 1991. One was Black Sabbath’s Sweet Leaf and the other is Soundgarden Hunted Down. I think the audio is from a crowd recording so it’s not the best but he kills both songs 🔥

They also did Judas Priest Livin After Midnight on the same night but Layne changed all the lyrics
