I really wish Sin was more popular. In my opinon, Its one of the best off of Core. Amazing drum beat,Smooth bass and mesmorizing guitar. Its my personal favourite off the album, and I like it way more than creep or plush.
Sin and Piece of Pie are my two favorite STP songs ever. I kinda like that they're considered "B" cuts though. It makes em cooler and goes to show what a great album Core is.
George Harrison , don't forget Chris Robinson...I saw the Black Crowes 9 times in their heyday & the CRB on the 4th of July...Chris can sing his ass off
shanon hoone didn't like Scott Weiland at all, (for no apparent reason)...at one show the Blind melon and STP were at together, Hoone went in the STP dressing room and shat on their snack tray. (according to another musician that was there).. class act.
@@tnbelle68 especially when so many icons from the 80s and 70s are still going strong. Even 60s still has quite a few still going, McCartney, the stones, bob dylan etc
Best FUCKING Rock Group of All Time!!! Hands Down. He absolutely Crushes this! Thank you for your unique and dominating endless Riffs. You will always be the Band I turn too in my times of Trials and Darkness. Been listening to Sin for two straight weeks. keep going back and forth between the One off CORE and the Live Toronto clip from 93.
Hx777 don’t bring it up, you’ll make me fall into a depression just thinking about how much we all lost when music started being overproduced and soulless. Damn do I miss the good old days when rock music had some balls and integrity.
STP was no doubt my favorite band from the 90s. Great songs is what makes them so awesome. Had they come out back in the 70s, they would have no problem hanging with the best bands of that era either.
See them in London (Shangri La... tour) and will never forget it, having loved them since I see them perform 'Vasoline' on Letterman. See Velvet Revolver twice too. I used to have a cork board in my bedroom, that i would pin magazine cut outs of Scott. Purple is my fav album of all time.
We remember you on today Scott, I'm so sorry you couldn't conquer your demons, we love you Scott, bless you. 1967-2015. I will see you again Grandma, I keep you in my heart and memories forever, bless you. 1937-2014.
I saw STP live when they did a double bill with Red Hot Chili Peppers. Wasn't even a contest. STP blew them out of the water. Such a fantastic live band.
Well it certainly helps that Weiland can sing live. Hits all his notes. Keidus cannot sing to save his life. Same with Ian Astbury from The Cult. the worst offender of the cannot sing live club is, you guessed it, David Lee Roth. Roth and Keidus are studio singers. meaning they can only hit notes when processed through a post production sound board.
This is/was the best version of No Memory / Sin I have ever seen...Dean has the Distortion cranked up unlike these days... So much Energy put into this performance, gives me goosebumps every time I watch it...RIP Scott, Live on STP!!1
I wish dean still wrote stuff like this. They are so boring now. I honestly thught it was a huge mistake to hire a guy who is a blatant scott rip off. Noone can compare so why try?
I bought "Core" about a year ago. This is my favorite song, even with "sex type thing", "plush", "wicked garden", and "creep" on the album. Core has to be among the greatest rock albums ever. EVERY SINGLE song on the record is killer. STP doesn't quite get the props they deserve as the very best of 90s alt/grunge bands, along with the likes of Nirvana and AIC. But STP still dominates alt rock radio airplay to this day, perhaps more than any other band from the 90s or the current era.
This song messed up all other songs for me as a 12-13 year old when I finally got my hands on the tape. It’s so pretty, dark, dirty, and refreshing all at the same time. STP will always be one of my favs. And Scott is my favorite front man ever.
I bought Core in 92 or very early 93. I was 10 years old and the bug had bitten me sometime a year or so before when my sister had recorded the three big Nirvana single off of Casey Casum’s top 40 with her tower stereo. I got a Walkman CD player for that next birthday and started asking my family and friends for paying chores to help fund my addiction. Core was a particular record, it spent a lot of time on past midnight rotation through the headphones in those days. The moody ness of this song is a perfect example why. Miss you Scott.
were still listening Scott!! And will be till the day we all die as well.We are Your Forever Fans!!! You always will be the Greatest thing about STP. Pure Genius that never Got All the Respect that was due You!! RIP my Friend!!
My favorite song from my favorite band of the 90s. Was able to see them twice, once in the 90s and again in 2011. Always put on a great show. RIP Scott.
Wow....one of my favorite sons “Sin”......never ever realized Scott was wearing a t-shirt with the chucking Devil on it! 👹 Kind of a sad precursor of his final call due to drugs.....really sad....what a talented man! 👍😢😞
Fucking amazing!! So interesting the transformation of Scott Weiland from this grunge dude to what he becomes on the later albums. Thru it all, I LOVE the power and rhythms of all their music and versions. STP! STP! STP!
"Still shackled to the Shadow..." one of the most hauntingly powerful lyrics in rock history. YOU KNOW, ALMOST LIKE A WHALE SHACKLED TO A WHARF...OR IN THE LIVING STREAM OF THINGS, A WHALE TO A PIRANHA...
I've seen them twice, once in '93 and last year and they only get better. I was front row at the first one and got to see them up close. No band matches their energy and the way he moves on stage is so unique. Great band. Period.
God damn, how i miss the old grunge days. STP was one of the greatest of the 90's era. My favorite STP song is Where The River Goes, but Sin still kicks some ass. Love how No Memory just opens for the song as the intro.
The last part of the guitar solo is my favorite departure of live vs album rendition in all of music. Sounds like a fucking train is crashing through the solo into the outro. So sick.
I saw stp every time they came close to Tulsa . Scott laid it all out there. Each and every show. Be a long time for another rocker like him !! Great voice
lol hes stoned but jesus he pulls it off like no other. such a good stage presence i dont care how bad he may dance to some people. my favorite grunge singer by far, hes the reason i keep singing to this day. old STP is the best
