you prolly dont give a shit but if you are stoned like me during the covid times you can stream pretty much all the new movies on InstaFlixxer. Have been watching with my girlfriend lately :)
What an underrated song. My wife is dying of CJD at 46, and the lyric ,if you should die before me, ask if you can bring a friend, kills me every time. Such a great song.
my heart goes out to you, friend. recall hearing this when it first broke and silently prayed i'd never have to walk in your shoes, waaay back then. fyi, my fave take away lyric from this way underated band, and quite possibly any other one (including my own) is; "take a bath i'll drink the water that you leave" St. Scott was drinking from some real deeep well when he got hit with that one
Agree, and that it was buried on an album of great songs made it even more brilliant. we spent all of 94' in the comics warehouse I worked at listening to this album over and over and over and over...along with the Pixies, Nirvana and Beck of course. This is the only one of those that I will hit repeat on over and over.
Bought this album used when I was 13, best thing I ever did. It's unfortunate that noone listens to whole albums anymore, cause shit like this is why I love rock.
Absolutely regret never seeing STP live. They never really played close to my home town though. Some people were nirvana-ers or alice in chain-ers but i was definiately and STPer. Hopefully ,see you later Scott...
HE IS AN AEWESOME LYRICIST!!!! HAVE BEEN PLAYING THIS IN MY CAR ALL WEEK!!! LIVE TONIGHT ON TV. THAT WAS WEIRD...LOUNGE FLY. TRIPPIN' ON A HOLE IN A PAPER HEART... LOVE THE WHOLE BAND ALWAYS!
Saw them back in '94 at MSG, Local H opened 4 them.. My love for them "still remains" 2 this very day.. "Our bed we live, our bed we sleep making love and I become you".. ❤️Scott
this is not just a song, this is a poem... I wish i could go back to the 90s- so many real rock bands :STP, Pearl Jam, Screaming Trees, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Nirvana and more...
Those bands aren't rock bands. Those bands were from the grunge movement from the time you mentioned, but yes indeed.... all great bands never to be duplicated.

we had our decades 30's 40's 50's 60's 70's 80's and 90's they all left an imprint on the world with fashion and music the 2000's are all water down and lame imitations of those true eras i got lucky i was in my teens in the 90's i've always wanted to dedicate this song to a girl when i was 19 such deep lyrics i'm happy i can finally do it now.
Sigh. This song is pure, raw, emotional beautifulness (if that's a word). A perfectly painted picture of true love.... My favorite STP song for sure....
"Take a bath - I'll drink the water that you leave..." ~ only if you were young and were truly been in-love can this line make sense to you. Scott took something seemingly outrageous, then turned it into a beautiful lyric of love. Incredible!
Alexis really cool compilation of pics... nice to see Ottawa, my hometown... so effing sad ... one of the best front men ever and so talented... we lost a great voice....
I was 13 years old when this song came out and it still is the standard that I hold all other love songs to. This is the deepest, most beautiful love song.
tive a oportunidade de ver esses caras tocando essa linda canção.. ainda mais abraçado com a pessoa que você mais gosta e ainda pegar a palheta o Dean no final do show isso não tem preço
My local alternative rock station played a block of STP yesterday for memorial day. Played three of the typical radio STP songs but ended with this one. Haven't heard it in years, so awesome they did that.
Best STP song never released as a single. Arguably the greatest STP song ever written!!!! There’s no way when you grabbed Purple the day it came out and played it from start to end could you not know Interstate love song and this were huge hits. The ride this song takes you on with the verses and chorus ?The melodies and lyrics - this is a masterpiece!! Plain and simple “ skin is smooth I steal a glance” any man who’s ever been siting around a beautiful woman , who in your eyes ,everything about her is beautiful and radiant.Thats such a great line. Songs an 11 out of 10!
Losing him felt like losing family... and the pain of the loss still breaks my heart and crowds my mind. You contributed a tremendous amount of yourself to music and the raw emotions you shared with the world allowed the rest of us to deal with the hard struggles of life. You helped me to identify and express feelings that I could never have described by myself. Thank you
Been years and years since i heard this beauty. Still gives me chills. This whole album just had a sound that makes me wish i was back in the 1990's and 13 years old again.
The Cd I've owned for years was loaned to me a very long time ago from a friend who passed on. He died at his desk five years ago. Some say it was suicide over a girl but I don't know. I always think of him and that time before and after highschool when I hear this. I heard him one time on the radio and that was around the time he died. He was a radio Dj. His name was Ollie.
STP is one of the greatest bands I've had the pleasure of seeing. Nothing short of genius is this song, extracting the deepest the deepest feelings of love and compassion. Scott has no clue but he is my soul mate, his lyrics touch me more profoundly and I feel his pain when i hear him sing. Thank you Scott for your depiction of human emotion and nailing it to the wall. Thank you for incredible style and touch.
Sentiments run deep; ask if you can bring a friend ~ silly lover's promises to never die first and leave the other... and yet he dove alone in the hurricane deep blue almost 4 years gone
