Stones plays 2 positions effortlessly and excellently. He is a brilliant CB and he is phenomenal as CDM/CM but Trent is also exceptional in his new role.
U can put anyone from Man City in cm or cdm and they will look good or play good bc they buy the hole fucking prem they cheat then pay to get out of going to court just like Pep did in Barcelona he made them go down the path they are in now pep is a cheater so Man City cheat end of
And Trent didn’t ? 7 assists and a goal in 9 games in the role, controlled every game and made chance after chance after chance in a worse team, stones doesn’t have to do any carrying like Trent does
@@NorsePaganK9 they’re both amazing tbh, I don’t support Liverpool or City but I do support England and in that case a win is a fucking win. We have them both❤
i just want to remind them that this video is somewhat as if a person told you job A has better location than job B but wont tell that job B has better salary, better work life balance and other facilities...trent looks better at play making but stones is good in positioning in defensive phases, loose the ball a lot lesser, organises city team and dissorganises mid field of opponent... i would surely choose stones best season over trents best season
He's the best crosser, switch passer, corner taker and after that leichester city game free kick probably the best free kick taker in the epl top 3..his crossing his Gerrard prime level like crossing on a dime from 40yds to players feet very very difficult..
I seriously think this is the future England midfield. Stones is so solid and good at keeping the ball and winning it back. Trent is a sublime passer and crosser of the ball, good all round and a threat from set pieces.
Small team highlights can't fool anyone only Liverpool he can do that u mean John stones big team highlights stones way better technically and intelligence dribbling, defensively, Versailles
stone's adaptation has been phenomenal, and he looks amazing and so comfortable, trent is generational, nvm his crossing his all round passing is some of the best I've seen, leading the prem for chances created and assists with KDB since he was 17 years old. imagine these two in englands midfield wow
Stones is a very balanced player offensively and defensively and Trent is an absolute genius when it comes to passes and placing the ball in the right way, both players are gifted and an addition to any team. Trent's passing makes you wanna scream actually
Trent has his vision going for him, that's one obvious edge, then technique to make it happen. Stones has become something else though, from CB it's incredible how he's adapted. Really feels like Klopp is resurrecting the No. 10 Role in TAA. It's actually beautiful to watch.
I wish Southgate would have the balls to try something different. Both could be game changers for England in this role. But Trent’s eye for a pass is something else
To apply their strength your Tactic must/should be on that level 😂 Southgate consider Maguire as his #1 CB speaks alot. Plays 5-3-2 also speaks alot. Even in Possession the Formation remains 5-3-2 😂
Stones transition has been nothing but amazing. Normally players can go backwards in the field as players, but rearly you see a defender becoming such a good midfielder, kinda out of the blue. (Pep deserves alot of credit)
Trent is young, creative, entertaining. Stones is robotic, efficient, effective. Their respective teams have won everything in the last 6-7 years,..but I'd rather watch Trent play anyday,..YNWA💪🏾😂‼️
@@pain_real He can’t 😂 he can’t defend no defending awareness no risk taking he literally unless dead meat to the team John perfectly and better He agile and he always compose while having the ball and he stalls to make a serious pass Rodrid doesn’t need cover for nothing why should rodri should cover him for his lack of skill he literally not playing you want team to fail if you truly put him there 😂 Treat is just Good passer that all
@@LitoLochoss Why do you have to exaggerate? I bet when you see Trent do something good defensively or make a goal line clearance (countless examples of that even this season) your eyes glaze over but when he falls short you're all over it. Because it fits the narrative.
@@mosesrocco6614 Because he not good enough Where was he in the matches where ue was needed? pls you truly think people like him would actually want him he lacks awareness and which is a huge problem plus this guy said Pep would make team around him literally no he lack everything’s a Cdm needs he can’t make critical passes or open chances can he distribute the ball in save Stone and Rodrid are reason we are so good especially Stones amazing this season literally he back bone of or team trent can never Do it since he lacks everything Cdm need to be affective. Also why do teams don’t get someone like Trent ? You wonder why Cancelo left because He sucked at 1v1 which Trent as the same issue he was losing ball costing us so any chances this is why we are better off without him ake perfectly. There reasons Madrid want players like Davis and Reece both of them don’t have passing qualities as trent yet are effaceable in other areas Teams don’t want a support Cm
@@dblock_comps8202 Yeah in a team with 1.24Bn net spend. Put Trent in the Man City team and he will do even better and win the quadruple. Dumbest argument in history when you compare a better teams team awards when comparing players. Must be the stupid Messi and Ronaldo fan boys who come out with dumb arguments. Anyone can win a treble with this City team. I could put Harry Maguire in that team and he would win the treble would you call him.better than Ramos? Clown
@@dblock_comps8202 Also the treble means nothing when breaking the 115 financial rules. The rest of the league literally wants City to win because they have no rivals or fans. Just plastic club
There's no way Liverpool season would have ended the way it did if TAA was in midfield all season. He's actually the missing part in the midfield that Liv been searching for. He controls the tempo, he gets creative with his through passes, he can carry the ball unlike Thiago but most especially Trent has the stamina so he can actually PRESS! He's bad at 1v1 at RB but he can do the gengen press in CM. This was why immediately Bacjetic joined the midfield, he looked like Zidane. Simply because he could press. In fact putting a headless chicken in Liv midfield would have guaranteed top 4. Still surprised how Liv didn't replace Wijnaldum n Old Hendo.
@@teejhayemperor5447 what is no way? He was our only Orchestrator whenever he was inverted. Or you don't know basic football? Trent chose when we would attack.
@@donermeat 💯 I was surprised Liverpool's first transfer was MacAllister. Another technical midfielder like Thiago/TAA/Jones/Elliott. Liv main focus should be looking at an aggressive box to box like Caicedo and a destroyer for DM.
This guy Trent appears to know nothing about simple and ordinary passes. He's so spectacular, every single pass is always a chance creating one. Maybe Liverpool should keep him there not longer as hybrid Stones on the other hand has done incredibly well in that new role. He commands the area. Tank
Defensively I'd take stones, he's not limited to offense meanwhile Trent is more advance in him for running the Team but they're both Good and Talented
Asides from his poor defending, Trent is literally pure masterclass, although Stones is doing a great job he is not making a revolution in his role like Trent did.
what poor defending?! have you ever compared both teams squad and playing style? Considering Liverpool CMs quality and playing style it's not easy to play for Liverpool for any players from gk to striker they have to work harder. bring Stones to Liverpool they'll become worse but take Trent to Man City they'll become a stronger team!
@@mujtababarati9423 seems you are a just a blinded Liverpool fan. Trent defending is not good, compare him against Robo, you will clearly notice Trent is worst, and both play as fullbacks. Even Klopp noticed that, so he moved him more to the midfield. Football analysts and ex players like Thierry clearly said that Liverpool lost last year uefa final because Vini was able to exploit Trent poor defending, and guess what, the only goal of the match came from his side. So yeah, Trent has poor defending skills as a fullback, but that doesn't means he is a bad player, he has other capabilities wich are unique and valuable. But in terms of defending it's more than clear that he is not exceptional at.
@@msa12998 they’re both good in their own ways, Rice is an essential part of the team as is Stones. Trent, Rice, Bellingham and Stones is a great midfield to have
Stones is world class in CDM for Man City. Very solid, assured & effective but he would just be another slightly above average player if he played CDM for any other team. Trent on the other hand is beyond world class tbh, he adds that spark, prowess & aura in that midfield. What's even crazier is that he could do this for any team regardless of the system they play. He's awareness & aggression in defence needs improvement though.
Trent good player but not world the man is behind walker James and now stones in midfield intelligence on another that don't have that Plus defense he fail alot
@@philemonijaduola8831stones the key to peps change in their build up, last season was a 235 with fbs overlapping, which changed to a 325 with walker overlapping, to a 3223 with stones moving up and ake tucks in from lb and akanji tucks in from rb. this allows city to be balanced in both attac and defense because they have a wide back 3 to cover the wings, narrow cdm to cover the centre, and then we have the key of it all which is stones. acting as a box to box constantly defending and attacking.
Honestly they both can exist in that same midfield. Both have their pros and cons, and it's just preference. Vision and passing- Trent, all round play I have to give it to stones. Watching the champion's league final, stones was amazing he truly have balls of steel.
The work the Guardiola has done with John Stones alone is remarkable. He spotted Stone's ball-carrying talent & vision for space, and allowed him morph in a complete CDM.
im a liverpool fan but stones does that position so much better and more effectively because there is still a huge element of defending, trent is a number 10 and needs playing as one
@@user-ed7et3pb4o 45 minutes yet he has a habit of criticising trent the best passer of the ball in defence and midfield yes defencely he can be caught out in defence but which defender hasn't even the great ones have been caught out. I take Jurgen klopp's decision over negative southgate all the time. Put Klopp Pep even Howe in charge of England's and you will see better quality of football Southgate style of football is 1 pass forward 3 back Unfortunately southgate is another yes man for the FA And when we come up against the big teams England get found out. Yes in the pass they have played the odd good game
I just love this idea of playing inverted from the back/fullback. Trent has technical ability and incredible range of passing. Stone has calmness and to dribbling like that when your tall is just amazing, he is a good passer as well. England are lucky to have them both i guess, but their manager is Southgate 😂 i bet he didn't know how to use them 😂
Stones plays for a winning machine, Trent on the other hand delivers the winning contribution. We know who will snapped up inmmediately if both are for sale
Both are great Good tactic for man city, Nice role for stones he can play this midfield role sufficiently by being good defender and average midfielder but when Trent come to midfield he's definitely one of the top 3 midfielders in the world, just generational talent kdb breed.
Stones still sort of plays as a CB in midfield sometimes he needs to plait quicker but he's pretty good in the middle. Trent in midfield is just beautiful
TAA all day , everyday ❤. Switch the ball to all ends, perfect aerial balls , nice through passes and great at taking free kicks though still poor in defensive.
@@adh_roshan that's how loserpool fans console themselves because their overhyped player is a flop defender. Kdb's long balls are better than Trent's 2x
As a liverpool fan, i think taa is a creative cdm.... He focuses on creativity at the expense of some mistakes. While stones is a double pivot who holds, makes less mistakes and focuses on maintaining tempo of the game
It’s definitely hard trying to compare the two cos they’re both carrying out very different roles - Trent is Liverpool’s main source of creation and stones is playing a xavi/iniesta type role. But both have had a fantastic season
Ever since fifa 13 I always played Stones as CDM If I was a weak team, and when he was good on FM, I would convert him to CDM. Always has been my fave English player
Trent has got to play miefield next season - his intincts and vision are incredible - he's always had a great eye for a pass - that will be more useful in midfield than rb - liverpool didn't get bellingham, but trent is a great addition to midfield - they should get a new rb
Trent cuts people apart with his intricate on a dime passes like xabi alonso and stones cuts them apart by beating two people midfield with his physicality and aggressiveness then a simple pass like patrick viera. Both should be appreciated for what they can provide to any team 👍🏾
il y a bien une chose à retenir c'est que si vous choisissez un des deux vous allez sûrement enterrer beaucoup de potentiel ils sont vraiment incroyables tous les deux 😢
stone has been magnificient last season. if he can continue that form, instead of buying Rice, Arsenal should take this guy or City should just keep save the money and prevent another Philips v2 in Rice.
