Hey sis. Great vid. Bout to write u a book tho, 🤣ok here we go: I been on a hair journey since 2010. I ruined my 4C hair so many times over the yrs that I'm a damn expert now. Lmao. I purchased a hair book 3 yrs ago and it gave me a foundation with scientific explanation of my black hair. I started buying botanically ph balanced products for low porosity when not stretched and high porosity when stretched. Winter and summer products as well. And that changed my hair alot for the better. I started using bentonite clay with acv every other wash day to completely strip my hair so that my conditioners would penetrate. My hair was doing good. Hair was giving and then...... I RUINED IT BY USING HEAT AND EXTRA GEL TO EXTEND MY WASH AND GO LAST SUMMER. I fried the gel into my hair by accident rushing for an event and then baked in the sun for 8 hrs. When I got home to wash it out, clumps of hair came out. 😭😭😭😭😭 . To fix it, I went no heat, wore wraps for a month and then buns and ponytails for months, then braids when it got strong again. After all that I did a huge trim and put my hair in twists like yours for another month. No added hair. And almost a yr later, my hair pretty much back. F*ck wash n go's. I went back to a simple routine like when I was a kid. Wash every 2 weeks. 1 wash gets a moisturizing treatment, the next wash is a protein treatment to keep balance. I use a good leave in and then blow dry. Lastly I grease my hair with blue magic or use shea butter and put in chunky twists..oil my scalp, coconut oil on my ends and I'm done. I will start prepooing tho. And I'm gonna support and get ya e-book. Im all about using food for beauty health. Thank you. ❤✌🏾
Awwww, this is such a beautiful story! Thank you for sharing and thank you so much for your support! I'm so glad that you were able to nurse your hair back to health. This story I'm sure will help many others who are enduring similar trials. I'm also not a WnG person! Just not about that life, LOL. #TeamTwists
Love love love your videos and your hair growth guidance. Definitely purchasing your book. I have been extremely vigilant about caring for my hair but overtime it just wasn't doing what I hoped. Growing fast but thinning on the top... Oh no way! I realized I had high porosity hair and it was always dry and crispy so my new search for a better regime began... again. Then I found you! My hair is already taking a positive turn. Love your biblical references. You have the confidence and healthy hair that inspires us. Bless & gratitude🙏🏽🌺
I do low manipulation styles, I don’t wash my hair until my hair lets me know when it’s time, cause it won’t hold a style so that’s when it’s ready to be washed
I love the video!! I want to order all your products in ONE . is everything(the oil recipes, the calendar etc...) included in "EfikZara's Hair Growth Bundle" or should I order all of them 1 by 1??

This is my first video and I’m already in love with you, girl. Great content. I have a question though, I have so much new growth and It’s drier (I’m a natural 4b, I think) what can I do about this? Any tips would help! Thanks in advance. ❤️❤️
Hey boo! I think the thing that will help a lot is using a pre-poo... but a true plant mucilage like aloe vera or okra. I don't put conditioners on my scalp and I would never recommend that. I have recipes for plant mucilage in my recipe bible that are very helpful. I do this not just to soften my hair, but also nourish my scalp. efikzara.sellfy.store/p/efikzaras-recipe-bible/ ALSO! Make sure you're drinking enough water. You may find that it's an internal issue.
Hopefully she'll answer you, but for me I noticed a difference in hair loss 1) using an anti-shedding shampoo (Mielle sea moss in my case), finger detangling before washing and keeping stretched while washing each section, applying conditioner to each section as I wash the section and twisting, only wide tooth combing after the 30 min. deep conditioning with a heat cap has softened, putting in a leave in section by section as I wash out the deep conditioner, then blow drying with a Revair on low suction and high heat (which is still very low heat as dryers go), then braiding or twisting immediately. Keeping stretched until I wash again. This routine is the minimal amount of shedding or breakage for me. I alternate with 2 strand twists just to avoid even the low heat of Revair sometime, plus it rains here a lot this time of year and no point applying heat just to have it revert as soon as I go outside. But if I don't blow dry at least once a month I get a lot of tangling and hair loss. I hope some of this helps.
@@somebodycomelistentothispo7217 I made the mistake already, too late. But thanks for telling me about the tension method. I am just hearing it for the first time. Need to watch a video of that.
Honestly, the best I can do for you is recommend my hair calendar. It's really inexpensive. That's the hair routine I use and it's done a lot to strengthen and fortify my hair. I will make one for damaged hair, but for now... the high porosity one will likely be the best for you, since it addresses protein integrity issues. efikzara.sellfy.store/p/hair-calendar/
i have high porosity hair that’s already so dry and i suffer from dry itchy scalp with mild flaking. i wash my hair every 2 weeks(and co-wash on day 7 hair), and i only use a sulfate shampoo once every 5-6 weeks just to get a really deep clean to prevent product buildup. other than that i use sulfate-free moisturizing shampoos, should i use sulfate shampoos more often or would i even get the same benefits as a low porosity natural?
Use sulfates occasionally if u use heavy products. But only put it in your scalp and let it run down. My hair use to be very high porosity but I cut a lot off and now it’s not. It could be high because of handling damage. I think that’s what caused mine. Some hair is just naturally porous. I hated it. It was always dry, matted and tangled. Took me 2 days to wash and style. Cutting it was necessary
Wash your hair more or hydrate your hair with a spray bottle and leave in conditioner a few times a week. Try using a clarifying shampoo if your scalp is itchy or has dandruff.
Please can we know the brand, the colour of your contact lenses!!! They look so gorgeous. I'm not willing to have the same colour but know where to shop natural lenses in Africa
#3! That’s really all you need… but use it as instructed and make sure your hair is CLEAN. A little goes a LONG way. #8 is great as well. I don’t think you neeeed #0 but it doesn’t hurt to include it.
💚💚💕💕 Also, what do you think of curlsmith's bonding products? I'm leaning more towards their bond curl rehab salve, mainly because you get more product as compared to olaplex and k18.
They can't be compared to K18 or Olaplex at all. Their bonding products are potent protein treatments. Olaplex and K18 are not that, at all. You can use them in conjunction with Olaplex and K18 but it's disingenuous to pit them against one another, or use them to replace REAL bond repairers.
@@EfikZara That really clears up my confusion, thanks🤗 the bonding salve is usually marketed as an alternative to olaplex specifically (here on yt). I'll keep thinking about it...the price point and the tiny bottles make it hard for me to invest in olaplex since I'm sure it'd be something I repurchase.
@@ayo_hitman_bang_introduces For MEEEE, the price is mild for the value it adds to the hair experience… that aside, a little goes a LONG way and there’s absolutely no need to be heavy-handed, or use more than what is recommended (coming from someone who is very heavy-handed LOL).
