Let all the religious institutions mandatorily impart main stream education. Children at young age should not deprived of main stream education by adults whims and fancy. Religious education can be imparted with consent of students after adulthood.
I am a Muslim and I do agree. We should not deprived students of mainstream education. I have studied my matriculation in a Christian school the Christian students have bible classes but that is not imposed on other students. I suggest that at every school there should be provision of religious education for each religious group as religious study . Hindus have Gita classes likewise Muslims and Christian have Quran and Bible classes in this way we have harmonious development.
CJI is definitely well read , experienced in his field n the judges do their homework and case study better than us. Judging a judge is sheer immaturity on our part

Rather than focusing on stopping madrasas etc. government should focus on positivity steps like freeing Hindu temples, allowing Hindu specific educational freedom etc.
There is no government prescribed religious textbooks for schools in our country certified by Education Council. Its too dangerous to allow minds of young children consumed by religion when the state has no control over the religious teachings. That applies to all religions although we are seeing across the world the devastating consequences of over radicalization of a significant size of population in one particular community. This is a sensitive topic involving fundamental right and shaping future of the country by nurturing scientific temperament in the young minds. The case needed serious deliberation and ought not have been taken up by the CJI in his last week.

Then don't claim benefits of any schemes, like Pradhan mantri awas yojna, don't claim Obc certificate, don't take any subsidy as these are all material things. Government should not fund any religious education. Missionaries run on their own. Similarly if Madrasas to run they should be run by theri community organisations (in accordance with Law) . Public funding should stop. Public funding shall be for nation building. Primary & secondary education in rural, tribal & backward areas shall be focused not Madrasas to create maulvis.
Madrasahs r like Pathshala. Poor children get education there. If there some illegal activities r going on, like govt hospitals we have seen, have to stop that basically.
No. Pathshalas used to teach Grammar, maths , music , traditional Scriptures but Madrasas teach only radicalism and exclusivistic means mostly. Rather government funded madrasas should be shut and funding for pathshalas with stakeholders controlling them for integration of modern education with traditional local means in poor and backward areas is a better alternative.
No one is forced to study in madrasa board, state board centeral board, english medium, hindi medium,urdu medium, private school, government school. It wholly and solly depends upon person choice.
Modernise them with proper education and monitor for illegal activities and there should be no state support for the ones that do not adhere to such standards, simple as that. And Gurukuls should also be encouraged extensively, again with modern education just like catholic schools
In name of constitution and secularism some institutions are misused madrasa is one among there are sm ashram as well but need strict law to handle them
Sometimes I feel, the institutions themselves don't want the community to move forward. Any country that wants to develop will give modern schooling preference over madrasa.

Good to know know that Madarsa should not close, but please add mainstream education system to madarsa and provide equal opportunities to join modern education and same applicable to all schools with no difference.

Why gurukul are compared with madrasa..are they teaching vedas and slokas in gurukul as a part of curriculum..if they want to teach Quran let them have separate institutions like Sunday school..why govt should fund them in a secular country
