My dad was bedridden for 2 months and because of the medicines he took, his body developed plenty of dandruff on the scalp. My mom once or twice made him hair bath with Dettol on the scalp and yes it Worked! We were surprised to see that. Though I have experienced personally I'm hesitant to try it on me because it may make your hair white/grey. As my dad's hair is already like pepper and salt we weren't able to observe if it affected the hair color. Also, Dettol works with dandruff because it has anti-fungal/bacterial ingredients and that is the sole reason we use it to clean ourselves and the surroundings. A yeastlike fungus (Malassezia) that feeds on oils on the scalps of most adults causes dandruff and Dettol fights with the yeast/bacteria generated on the scalp. This is just out of my experience and the research I've done on the internet regarding dandruff because I have the same problem. Thank you!

I don't know about others but I used this method and its really working ( itching n some dandruff completely gone). n didn't harm my hair..yes! it's so irritating so i used it for 5mins n then washed it off.

I just use dettol mix with water, it reduce the itchiness of my scalp, and also reduce me from scratching my head every time, it really helps me, i feel relieved.

Actually it works and it doesn't cause hairfall. It's already given on Dettol bottle how to use for dandruff. This is the treatment I'm using since few years for dandruff.

for dandruff put some lemon juice in warm coconut oil before shampoo routinely , slowly slowly it decreases dandruff n avoid hot water to wash ur hair. It is really helpful. Diet also plays an initial role.
