Thanks ! My Red Heeler sheds all year long !!! I cook chicken and rice with some veggys every night, now Im adding 2 table spoons of olive oil to his food. Im at a loss with all this hair.
What a wonderful video, on a topic that many of us wish we could make better for our canine friends!! I prefer natural remedies over chemical remedies, so thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us!! 😊💕
You said just sweetheart, I just love your manner!!! You're so kind and patient and you don't rush through it! You're an amazing man and that I wish you would relocate to Las Vegas!!! 1🥰
I speak my text through the microphone and it screws me up sometimes! What I said was you are such a sweetheart!!! I love your manner, your patience, your kindness, your love for animals and your amazing skills!!! You make so many people happy if you would relocate to Las Vegas!!! 🥰
Thank you! I have an Anatolian Shepard and she is in constant protection mode and it stresses her. Sounds like this may be very good for her. She loses SO MUCH HAIR OMG. I found a more raw meat diet helps her with everything but I can't afford that. I let her eat a little coconut oil also. She says it's very yummy! Lol!
My lab, Shiloh, sheds literal snow storms whenever I brush him. I would brush him more, but I am rather busy, so I unfortunately don't get to brush as often as I should. My question regarding the shedding, how often should I brush my lab, and will this oil make my dog oily? Won't he leave marks on furniture etc?
What can a dog be lacking in nutritions? what is good for them or food vitamins I do feed my baby chicken and rice a doggie dry food not much only like an appetizer because I am afraid of feeding dog food because there is always recalls on dog food that they make out there , so i dont want to feed him much of that but he also has veggies and non fat table meat that we eat, only a little ..only chicken tenders with white plain rice also a little bit and always olive oil 1 tsp per day , since I am Italian....ever since I have had him since he was 3 month old. He is a male pekingnese going on 13 years and does not slow down thank god and goes for walks every single night.we love him his name is Chewbaca same color of chewy in the movie star wars he is like our child because we are childless, not by choice...but we truly adore him, My hubby , Chewbacca and I are growing old together, we are 67-65...&13yrs Thanks to our Dear Lord that he has taken good care of us. And may God take care and Bless you Doctors for taking care of our pet children.....
Where can I order you CBD oil? I have a dog with shedding issues, anxiety, and as of last night her first seizure and according to all the videos I watched of yours discussing those issues CBD oil seems to help with all 3 of those. Our dog is a recent rescue dog I adopted approx. 4months ago. Thank you for your compassion for both the animals and the humans caring for them. I love that you are not greedy and just simply care. This means a lot to me as I am a single mom without a lot of money but still want to do what is right for my family, which includes our dog now. Thank you!
I Love your videos.... Got to try this for my fur Baby she is a boxer pit mix... Beautiful and gentle ..she reminds you of how sweet pippie is...Love your videos thank you so much for sharing,.🐶🐶🐶
I have a yellow lab in my house. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the FurManater brush!!! It's AMAZING! It cut our shedding in half if not more. Works great on the cats too! I promise you won't be disappointed
@@VeterinarySecrets You're very welcome. His hair made my CRAZY every single day😭 I've never seen so much hair in my life😣 He still sheds of course but that silly brush was a game changer. Also. I got this thing from Chewy.com it looks like a pumas stone. And it pulls all of his hair off of the furniture. You know when the hair sticks in and you can't even vacume it off😩 lol That thing is amazing too 👍 Those 2 things should come with every indoor Lab 😂
I have a 7 year old lab/pit mix. Since we moved to So-Cal she has began shedding insanely, and since we have tile floors, I have to sweep several times daily. It's got to the point where she no longer got to leisurely lay in the bed with us anymore. We tried her own designated blanket but that was a joke. Now she has her own bed on the floor and it seriously tears me apart to have to do it😢. Of course halfway through the night I let her back in but regret it immediately when I get all itchy and I won't even start with getting a hair in my mouth, makes me vomit everytime. Ugh save us please!
My dog sheds a lot especially around his private place. But his hair isn't like the hair you got off the dog you had on the table. I'm sweeping hair all day long.
Thank U Sir! ♥️😘Pippi She is sooooo Cute, One doubt sir what is CBD oil, the full form or can you manage without please help coz of its availability, whether we can access it easily or not.
Hi! Dr.! Loved this Topic sooo Very Much!! Your Channel is Always soo Interesting, and I have Learned so Much!! Thank You as Always for a Perfect Video!!
This is great information! I just have to comment how my dog was losing her fur from her backsides, hind legs and tail. A vet said she was allergic to fleas but she didn't have fleas! Took her to another vet. He took one look at her and said she had a thyroid problem and blood work would confirm for sure. So, she had to take a pill every day and her fur grew completely back. I don't know if there is a homeopathic remedy now. Had her for over 17 years and still miss her!
Do you have a preference on brands to suggest for the hemp oil and safflower oils? Also, do we topically do this daily? Once a week? Monthly? 🤷🏼♀️ I would love to know. Thanks!🤗💗🐕💗👍🏼
Best not to use on your cat if they groom excessively. Can be used cautiously. Only a light mist, spread it around with your hands, and then no more than once/week.
You are great! Thank you for such valuable information, from one who really seems to care!!! You really are such an uplifting & positive experience for the world!!! Just curious if coconut or olive could substitute for the safflower???
Hello sir Iam hearty thanking you for the advice u had given for mange I gave them the doses as u had suggested and within 3-5 months all my dogs are healthy free from skin problem and also developed good skin and hair and one of my Pomeranian developed very beautiful and soft cover that I had never expected. Thank you soo much.
Hello I have a question . My cat is 10 year old she have diabetes since she was 7 year old . a few days ago I found a little lump or bump on the left side of the rib cage . I wen to the vet today he told me he have to remove it to see what it is . he don`t want to do needle biopsy .My asking is because of the diabetes is a dangerous to do a surgery under full anestesia ? That is the hardest decision . the lump is not freely movable . The cat is eating ok and here weight is ok .Please help !!! I am lost . Thank you !
Lab-like fur has weight to it. Easiest to clean up. German Shepherd fur? Ah, that's the clingiest stuff ever. It sticks to everything. Fortunately German Shepherds only do an intense shedding seasonally, but that hair spreads even if you're a clean freak. It murders vacuums, lol. I've never had a problem with dog hair on a Lab. They're generally low maintenance for grooming requirements. I still groom daily. I'm picky, and think that daily brushing is good to look over the coat + it's a circulation boost. That and you can admire your dog's lovely coat. To add to the tips and tricks, use a rubber pointy tooth curry to take care of it. A shedding blade helps too. Really, a good bath can knock off most of that loose hair the best. Unusual shedding + a dull coat may indicate hypothyroidism. Obviously, get your dog's thyroid checked to rule it out. It's true that adding fats can improve coat quality, yep. Spotty shedding is likely an allergy or irritation. That's different from ordinary shedding. Hormones affect how much your dog will shed hair. If all is healthy and well, you'll just have to groom your dog to take care of it.
Hi there. May I ask if you apply the coconut oil in the same way as the Doc here does? How often do you need to do it? My Mums dog sheds so badly that there's a white layer of fur over her whole house all the time no matter how much she vacuums. She's at her wits end! I could see my Mum using the coconut oil treatment as you have mentioned here. Thanks in advance. ^^
@@rubytuesday5412 i apply it like putting lotion on yourself whenever he gets a bath and fully dried off. Not too much. If I see the hair start "up" again I just add a little to keep it "tamed". It's also a repellent for some bugs.
@@carabellofamily4782 ~ Thanks for your prompt reply. Just one more if you don't mind and I sound like an airhead I know but are you putting the coconut oil on the skin or the fur? I'm getting the impression you mean the fur like to keep it in place? Thanks again.
@@rubytuesday5412 no you don't sound like that... it does help. I have asthma and have to keep up with it. I also dont like the hair on my couches. Since i started using it, it helps so much.
I am definitely going to try this recipe. We just combed out our lab/golden mix with a Furminator and filled a paper grocery bag with one session! :-O How often do you need to apply this remedy??
Hi dr , I love what u do , that is best Chanel I find for my dogs , I got 6 adopted dogs , witch I find them in street, thank u go all u doing big help I have a question one of my dog scratching her eyes only one of them and is got red around the eyes no redness inside the eye , I use antibiotic cream help a little but she is starting again , I wash them with tea and little honey as you recommend, but as soon as I take the cone of she is doing again, I really appreciate if u tell me what can I do , with love ❤️ 👍🏼
My little one, her name is Princess, she’s been shedding a lot, how to stop ?? Where can I find that product! Thank you so much, she always shedding, I use oatmeal shampoo, it didn’t work !
Hello Doctor, I’m just wondering if any brands of Hemp oil is ok? There are lots of choices in Amazon such as 10,000 mg or 280,000 mg 30 ml for 59$. 59$ organic gallon hemp oil on the list too. Which one is good or enough? Many thanksssss
How about subtitute remedy for hair shedding if its not available those remedy or treatments that u shown. Especially here in the phils most of the veterinaries and pet store dont have those remedies to sell
@@VeterinarySecrets I dont know if you got my other message but I was wanting to buy that powder to put on his food, do you still sell it. Where can I log on to make a purchase. thanks again :) and for all you do. :) I tried to download your book and Im not getting a link in my email, help. thanks
Where do you get dr. Jones ultimate CBD oil or can you use any CBD oil and if you can what dose and how many milligrams? Thank you for your time gorgeous!!! 🙏 🤩
Doc, my lab mix is limping. She was playing outside and out of a sudden, she started limping. All I can think is that she hit a brick that was near by. It has been about 10 days. I have used Arnica, menthol, massages. She still limps. Vets on my area are expensive.
Do you recommend any better treatments for valley fever. My dog has completed one round of fluconazol and was miserable and I don’t want to do it again. He was tested and they said another round is recommend.
Tey a salmon oil capsule. Poke hole in it. Drop in there food 1x day. Could do the application your doing too. More omega the less shedding. But you want to cure from inside our also. Feed um well not just topical. A more moisture shampoo they'll benefit from also if shedding. Brushing often also. Egg good to if possible.
I'm Trying to do this for my American Bulldog that shed a lot, but I'm having issue finding the CBD oil. I wondering if using only Hemp oil and Safflower oil would have similar results.
Catherine Elaine Baxter I had huskies and after they passed I got a lab and thought the lab would be an improvement on shedding. NOPE! He doesn’t shed as much but close to it. Oh my gosh!
@@LadyBirch ... shame it can be a huge problem. My Lab used to rub herself along my couches and beds, possibly to scratch, but oh my, the hair became an issue. I was forced to isolate her to the kitchen, which was tough on her, but I had no choice. We do still love our babies anyway 🐾💝
Cant use a brush. My basset hounds has food and environmental allergies! This time of year.. he gets neck hot spots and his undercarriage is all red and his leg folds are red, raw and yeasty due to environmental issues!! I refuse to use drugs! Whay should I do??
My old black chow chow was the same, at one stage he was almost bald and scabby with hotspots. We'd been to 4 different vets who all just gave him steroid injections and endless tablets. The 5th get told me to feed him veg (spinach, carrot, broccoli, green beans etc)30% and then use a 70% meat ratio with a base of chicken and/or duck necks. Gizzards also particularly important as well as other organ meat. Fed raw preferably although (especially the veg) can be cooked. My black chow had beautiful soft new hair growth within 2 weeks and we never went back to 'dog food' and he never had another hot spot.
Hi Michelle, try wiping your dog down with a refreshing cold washcloth first, THEN dust cornstarch on all the raw sore skin, may need to do several times a day. Works for us 😁. I'm sure Doc has a great idea too.
My brother is a vet, I will ask him if you would like me to. I also use lots of natural methods for taking care of my animals and myself. I always have. Have you taken him to a vet to have food trials to determine what he is allergic to? I will also look up some suggestions for you if you would like, Michelle.

My shepherd is 7 years old and is losing bunches of hair, his skin is peeling and looks red, he looks very depressed. He suffers separation anxiety I was told. He had other owners way too often before I got him. He looks sad since my son left to become a US Marine, on top we have moved three time since February this year. Is he dying? Would you be able to tell me what to try for him? I've been giving him your supplements, coconut oil in his food, he loves carrots also, and sausages, and dog cookies. Being with my labrador mixed does not seem enough. I love him, again Is he dying? I wish you can help me, regular Vet is very expensive, but he has been there before. They said he has a skin dry and sensitive.
I would want you to determine the cause of the skin disorder - it could be related to stress, but more likely underlying allergy. Have a vet to blood tests to R/O anything more serious
@@VeterinarySecrets the vet has told me that he has dry skin, sensitive skin. He was given some inyection and other meds. What food is best for Sheppards?
@@VeterinarySecrets I applied the oils yesterday to my dog, Sierra. I let her out this morning to let her take care of business. I just let her in a few minutes ago and she was behaving strangely. I noticed little ants all over her bed and mine. I think the ants are attracted to the oils.
What about for humans? My head sheds a lot of hair and thinning and not due to diet or medications. I changed my blood pressure medication when I realized my Mom is practically bald using the same bp medicine for decades!
Look up on You Tube: Vegetable Police hair loss It's an entertainment channel, meant to be funny, but he has had some success with treating his hair loss.
Do I really need the 1% of CBD, will the remedy still work without it. In Australia you need to have a doctor's certificate and be accepted into the Special Access Scheme.
