My mom always said insanity is doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting different results. At the time, I just rolled my eyes-because seriously, what does she know? But deep down, I was stuck in a toxic cycle that felt like a never-ending hamster wheel, and I wasn’t even the cute kind of hamster.
I’d swear off drinking, but as soon as I was alone, my brain would start whispering sweet nothings: “Just one won’t hurt!” Spoiler alert: it always hurt. I’d blow all my cash on booze and then complain about being broke-when in reality, I was just funding my own misery. Classic move, right?
I tried all the usual routes to sobriety, but nothing clicked. I was convinced I was doomed to a life of hangovers and regret until I discovered MAT. In just a week, I broke a two-decade struggle with alcohol. Mind blown!
