Hilariously, the creator said Jinshi was supposed to be a one off comedic relief character and his popularity both confuses and irritates them as it extended the LN past the four volumes it was originally slated for.

Maomao's VA is Aoi Yuki, who has previously voiced the energetic Hibiki Tachibana (Symphogear), the super yandere Taihou (Azur Lane), and the hyperactive chaos gremlin Kumoko (So I'm a Spider, So What). Her voice work breathes so much life into all of her roles...it's unbelievable how talented she is.

@@MrDibara On one horribly memorable Thanksgiving, one of my cats managed to swallow a Butterball turkey lifting string, which is basically a long looped string with little plastic buttons reinforcing the crossovers, used to lift the turkey out of a roasting pan. Like your cat with the shoelace, he didn't chew it up--he SWALLOWED IT WHOLE. We didn't know about it until he used the litter box and had a poo nugget hanging outta his back end (which occasionally happens, usually with a hair that the cat managed to ingest somehow), and when I grabbed it with a paper towel to pull it out, it just... kept... coming... out. My husband was dying of laughter, saying that my horrified expression and the cat's horrified expression were amazingly similar. It came out safely, though we still have no idea how he managed to swallow and pass the thing completely intact without injuring himself somehow. To this day, we still make jokes about a "pull-start cat". :D

Finally, my guy gets some recognition! Like, I like Jinshi, but he's so slow for "a boss"! Meanqhile, Gaoshun be picking up on Maomao's clues as if he knew her better, when he doesn't. This is a lad who is REALLY underrated compared to the main couple!
