Stop Engine Immediately-Do Not Run Engine or Damage Will Occur! This can't be good... False alarm- It appears to just be a faulty sensor or maybe the antifreeze was just a little too low? A couple days of snow blowing, snow pushing, hauling grain to the ethanol plant. America's foreign energy dependency burning away. Such a clean, renewable homegrown resource. Amazing! #RenewableEnergy #Ethanol

Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture.
With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

Since the 20 series ivt the independent brakes cut the gearbox out when pressed, on the 6020 and 6030s you can just rev it to make them work like the auto quad versions, on the 6r you can go into transmission settings and turn the sensitivity of the pedal clutch down so that the brakes dont cut the gearbox out. To do so go into menu on bottom right of screen, machine settings, transmission, then the little "i" in the top left and turn the sensitivity down, from memory its called auto clutch (or it is in the uk) hope that helps

You can turn off the automatic clutch function of the brake pedal in the transmission settings. Click the little "i" beside transmission at the top of the screen when you're already in transmission settings. Then you can choose the sensitivity of the auto clutch of the break pedal. You can also turn it off which will stop the tractor stopping when you press one brake pedal

Peterbilt tech here. USUALLY, that Stop Engine light has more to do with emissions than any actual mechanical engine problem. The low indicator light on the DEF gauge will flash if there's a problem with the DEF system. We had a HUGE rash of DEF tank gauges go bad this summer. Yours may not have that particular sensor though. Probably a NOx sensor. If you decide to do that yourself, recommend changing both inlet and outlet at the same time. They rely on each other to read properly.

@briynjard, they want this, and to get rid of diesel, pump gas, forcing everyone to electric, and then to crowd people into cities to use train's, and get rid of all personal vehicle's. They added def to their bs law's, to force guy's into buying truck's they can't afford, and shuting them down, a lot of guy's in california, washington, and oregon have been hit. They are making variable valve timed engine's, that if there is a problem, everything crashes destroying the engine. This pollution control crap is bs, they just want to phase out diesel, then pump gas run vehicle's, down to electric car's, then to no personal transportation. Warren buffet bought up 90%, or more of all train stock, and sold all his airline stock. They want everyone in the city and to ride train's, and public transportation. Hey! Johnson! This is practically the same as backing your pickup up to a trailer!! Applying ONE brake, AT IDLE, is for crowding, manuvering the tractor by gradually increasing the engine speed with the throttle. At 1000 to 1100 RPM, the engine/transmission begin to apply FULL POWER to the UNBRAKED wheel!! Practice this on the yard.. Get a feel for it.. Applying BOTH brakes, at any speed, stops both wheels!! Good luck!

Hello Zach On the IVT trans if you have the rpms above 1200 the brakes work like normal but if the rpms are low the brakes become a clutch to stop the tractor. In your trans setting turn it to low load and run it at full rpm or run the IVT at whatever speed you want and use the pedal to run the rpms. Hope this helped.

I've been using the same Craftsman air gauge for about 25 years and I've learned to ease it onto the stem because the sudden surge of high pressure will send the scale way past the mark it should. If I feel that may have happened I just push the scale thing back down while still holding it on the stem and see if it doesn't stop at the correct pressure. Despite the too-loose scale travel, it's still pretty accurate, but then I don't throw it in the toolbox to slide around and bump into other gauges.

When mounting cameras in sketchy places, get in the habit of using safety tethers. Just a velcro strap, length of paracord, baling wire, etc, that you attach to the camera and put around some near-by part, so if the magnet jars off, it just swings from the tether and doesn't get lost.

I was wondering about that, and also if the DEF shortage affected them there, with agriculture equipment or the 18 wheelers. Fertilizer and DEF use Urea, and China shut down exports to focus on their own food supply issues. I haven't heard anything solid from the industry and certainly not from the Federal level, if they're on top of that, or just winging it and hoping. Can't see huge farms like this being able to do much with natural manure, but maybe a nitrogen fixer cover crop might help.

if the Walmart pallet racking is anything to go by it should have no issues, since I have seen them stack multiple pallets of sugar, water, beer on the same rack and the racks have no issues yeah some back of the napkin math would seem to indicate that a full chem tote is about 400 lbs lighter than a full pallet of 16.9oz water bottles

@davidwoermansr 2 года назад
I'd think industrial pallet racks would hold the chemical totes when I worked at Landoll Corp we put crates of disk blades on 1 level spacers another bearing so on and so forth everything to build the tillage equipment was on racks brought to assembly 1 crate at a time so everything was kept inside with the tons of weight on each rack I'm sure you'd be fine you could always add triangular bracing on the back and sides if you were worried about it

@phillipingram4909 2 года назад
So I think I’m preaching to the choir here, but based on a few comments I’d just add “proceed with caution.” All pallets racks whether classified as industrial or not, are not the same. Be sure to get the weight specs from your supplier or if bought second hand, call the manufacturer to be sure. Certainly there are racks that could carry the load, but a qualified engineer should be the one making that call. During my 40 years in warehousing, I’ve seen what a failure looks like and it is immediate, with only fractions of seconds to avoid injury or death. Not something to take lightly.

I see some of the tractors, being used for snow removal here in Michigan, have a cutting blade mounted outside the rotor on their snowblower. Easy to back up to the garage then pull it away before you blow the pile into the yard. The digital air gauges generally match the pressure it claims in the car computers. I have a gauge on my air inflator that shows 12 pounds diferent then the digital gauge.

"He's not Russian He's American, he's rushing" Zach you are My favorite on RU-vid. My Hoodie of yours has got holes in it bc I wear it so much. I'm a CNC set up guy so I make sure the machines stay running snd fix them if they break. Plus I have cancer and watching your videos gets me out of My head. I can't thank you enough for what you do. You are An amazing person. As soon as I'm back to work I'm going to buy a new Hoodie from farm focused as soon as I can. Besides cancer I crushed my hand at work between 2 pieces of steel about 1/4" for 10mins with 220psi pushing on it so needless to say things have been hard, but when I watch your videos I get to not think about it for awhile. Same with dereks from vgg. You guys are just amazing humans. Thank you for being you.

Hi Zach, Glad you decided not to jump the LP tank..... for the time being anyway! We live just south of Renville and our SMBSC plant! Sugar beets! Trans Systems is hauling those beets to the plant 24/7 now! My hubby and his brother worked for SMBSC and both retired from the plant. My hubby hauled those frozen beets for Gibson Trucking when they had the hauling contract. Take care of your lungs now! I have asthma, high blood pressure and diabetes, so I took the 2 Moderna and booster shots. I had no side effects at all. I don't want any more lung trouble! Zach....you and your Dad.... Stay safe, healthy and happy now! Happy 2022!!

Zach, the low coolant light would come on if it got below the sensor right there on the side of the tank facing the cab of the tractor. It was full enough to “satisfy” the sensor, but that probably was your problem. As the truck warmed up and it expanded, the fluid rose above the sensor

Have them check or replace the "crankcase filter" it's the filter for the vapor in the crankcase, it gets full of water and will always give you a "stop engine" warning.

Hey Zack, when transferring chemicals from totes, one higher than the other, please consider eye protection. If the hose blows, comes off the nozzle/bib, snaps, splashes or whatever, your eyes are right at a level that a splash of chemicals could cause harm. Is the risk worth it? Take care, be safe,

i use a circular-dial bourdon-type gauge on my car. it is certificated for accuracy. (bourdon gauges work on the same principle as steam engine guages - a coiled flattened copper tube). they're popular with local racers, but i never saw one with the long stem you need for the inner tyres. shouldn't be a problem to engineer though

They need to make a GoPro case that holds an Apple AirTag. That way if you lose the GoPro or it falls off you can find it. Also hot glue or silicon adhesive be would work. Something to try in case you’re worried about losing a GoPro in a snow pile.
