Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture.
With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

That's so funny with the pedal pumping. We have a few old carburetors around the farm, and my dad and brother ALWAYS say to pump the pedal. But when I went to school for mechanics, they told me to NEVER do that. Believe me though, you will need the battery charger if you don't pump the pedal. I don't know why, but it works

If you want to keep battery's charged on Trucks and stuff. You need a cutoff switch (emergency cutoff) that way when you finished with the machine/truck cutoff power with the switch it will keep battery's from discharging as they won't be connected to anything all while the switch is engaged

A traveling salesman stopped on the roadside to watch a farmer struggling to pick up an enormous pig so that it could eat acorns from a tree. After watching for a while, the salesman got out of his car and walked across the pasture to ask the farmer a question. Why don’t you put the pig down and shake the tree so the pig could eat the acorns that fall to the ground? It would save a lot of time, the salesman added. The farmer looked puzzled, then replied, what’s time to a pig?

The one thing we did with our camper (5th Wheel), was to use the battery disconnect on it so that the batteries don't drain as fast. However, we thought our disconnect was bad so my Dad ended up just taking the leads off the batteries that hook up to the trailer and that helped to ensure the hydraulic jacks would work. Long story short, we were reading the battery disconnect wrong and it worked after that. Just thought disconnecting the batteries physically might help.

Someone might have already suggested this but It seems like you have a lot of battery issues with your semi trucks. We had the same issue with one of our trucks. Fairly new batteries. Still seemed like the batteries were bad. Took all the cables off and cleaned the ends up with emery cloth. Fires up every time now 😁
@cheetothealmighty
@cheetothealmighty 2 года назад
I'll tell you, you have an ID10T error that keeps popping up, it happens to us all at some point. Just a note on the battery issues. Dirt, mud, grime, and road salt can be conductive even if they are dry. Disconnect switches won't prevent the batteries from dieing. The electrons are literally flowing through the crap on the battery's surface from post to post. Clean and cover them. 👌

Coming from Minnesota I kept our garage heated all winter and we had a Crack on the floor that was about 4 inches away from edge of the door so I could wash the car and truck all winter. The water would drain into the Crack it worked perfectly so that was my indoor car wash. I'm a firm believer that it works better clean than dirty. And I was a Snap On Dealer then and when the temperature rose above freezing I would wash my truck then. We moved to Florida in 94 and by then was selling Mac Tools and that truck was washed year around. I'm a clean freak like you. I know boring!
