As of 01/31/2023, I have been 235 days clean and sober from porn. This video is absolutely correct, control the eye and control lust. We are all weak, but we must control our arousal. I try to avoid shows that may show women scantily dressed. I read the word, every day, morning, and evening prayer. One major hurdle I had to overcome was my thinking that I wasn't hurting anyone. Once I realized that my thinking was wrong, and that by viewing the videos, I was an accomplice to the porn industry; it made resisting it a little easier. But I also had to put on the full armor of God. Go with God and be safe from evil. Update. 2 year anniversary came and went. Here's to another year with the Lord's help.

I’ve been free from porn and self gratification for six months and I’ve never felt happier.

I struggled with porn most of my life - until one day I really begged and cried for Jesus to break the chains and break them he did - it’s like a Black Death cloud was lifted from me - now, i have no desires for it and i have true freedom - I no longer serve 2 masters. I am free.

Just made it to 90 days without watching pornography and it's been the best choice I've made. Still struggle with the lust thoughts but making progress.

I was convicted by the Holy Spirit and haven't watched porn for almost a year now. It's much harder to stop it from replaying in my mind. I want to get to where it doesn't even enter my mind anymore. Lust has long term effects not just physically, but mentally as well.

Yesterday I relapsed, God knows. It’s been 3 years already fighting to quit porn. The more I fight it the harder the fall is, and it’s all my doing. Years and years of consuming, and these last 3 years of fighting lead me onto developing very, very immoral and disgusting fetishes. I've repented from the sin of pornography which took me seven years to overcome because of lust has a stronghold on my mind, pray for me to have self-control over my eyes and ask God to empower me to run from lust ❤️‍🔥 by avoiding placing myself in a vulnerable, compromising situations.

Lust cannot be avoided 100% as one can walk into the grocery store or a dr's office and see someone desirable so it has to be a choice of strong will to follow God's laws and always have him in your mind all the time which will help avoid these thoughts and desires cause if God is on your mind and you see a attractive person God's presence will take over your mind and protect you.

This may sound odd but I am struggling with this with the woman I’m married to. She committed adultery with the same man many times. I asked her to move out and we separated, I filed for divorce. Since I filed I learned that she stole from me as well. I know she is not the kind of people I should be around. She knows my sexual desires very well and continues to use them against me. It has worked a couple of times. I justified it by telling myself she is my wife. But the truth is I know her motivation yet I was allowing it to work because of those two things. I put myself in bad situations and I allowed my eyes to lust for her. I replied to her flirtatious texts in the middle of the night. I looked at naked pics of her she sent me. Until this divorce is completed I must be stronger than that. I must pray and I must not put myself in compromising situations. I must not allow my eyes to list for her. Her motivation to reconcile is not because she loves me but purely because she misses the lifestyle she once lived. She continues to talk to this man, she works with him and she lust for him. Please mighty God give me the strength to remove myself for these situations. In Jesus name amen.

Lord, please help me to fight my own eyes, so that they do not betray me, and resulting in me not having to fight lust...but rather flee it, as you have foretold. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

I have been in the darkness with out-of-control lust. I have done things which I am not proud of. It became addictive and I would act out daily. I would get the buzz of the chase. I would get a hit off the orgasm and then go into a deep downer and the only way I knew was to repeat the cycle. I am now celibate through choice and feel so much better and cleaner. My problem is it attacks me when I am sleeping. It actually wakes me up and I have to pray it away. I do not feed it with watching porn or ungodly relationships. I have asked and will continue to ask Jesus to remove the thinking, it is still attacked at times but not so much nowadays. my own spouse, who considers himself a Christian loves to justify cheating and pornography by blaming the woman. he will say things like "well if she doesn't put out who can blame the man for looking somewhere else!" or "they close their legs when they want to punish you!" i've told him multiple times that if you do something stupid or cruel or heartless you shouldn't be surprised if a woman closes her legs. he also has a porn obsession. he doesn't consider it a bad thing. totally normal. at first i didn't care. i was wrapped up in the same mindset he was in (that part about the company you keep is true!) but then i was born again and suddenly saw it for the poison it was. i tried to talk to him about it. he wouldn't hear it. he became cold, became more obsessed with porn. became very crude and disrespectful of ME - i don't like being groped or grabbed in a dirty way, i don't like being leered at and drooled over and i don't like dirty talk. i never have (he knew all of that about me when we met).... he thinks those things are funny and complimentary. but they turn me right off and make me want to LEAVE. it's not "LOVING" behavior. he doesn't want to work at gaining true love and affection. and you know what? all these years later, after being born again i realize our relationship was NOT built on love. it was built on LUST. I want to work together, create and build things together that will last. i want to work together to raise our sons to be kind and respectful, strong and intelligent. but i find myself doing it alone. when i say these things he literally turns his back on me and walks away. accuses me of nagging at him. I feel like i am in a deep well with no escape because at this point divorce would also be a sin. right? i don't know. i want to leave, that is for sure. i want a home where i am not pawed at and fondled when what i really need is a simple hug (those never happen btw.) i want to move forward in life and reach my actual potential. i am too old to have babies, i am middle aged, unattractive and moody. sex is not even on the list of my priorities anymore! it seems to be the only thing on his list. i have no intention of ever remarrying btw.... he cured me of that!! just like i have been cured of my own lust. i have the right kind of friends. i am pretty good at resisting the devil now or fleeing things i am told to flee. right now i want to flee... it is so hard to find reasons to stay with him. the only ones i can come up with ... i like my home. we are financially stable. yeah that's about it..... but he has become something i don't know how to deal with. he refuses to go with us to church. stays home and watches porn instead. he refuses to spend time with his kids doing meaningful things. prefers to play on his phone or watch tv instead. and when he's "in the mood" it's just gross and repulsive. i always feel like i am a poor substitute for what he REALLY wants. and i feel that way because he spends more time ogling naked women than he does talking to me - when we do talk it always turns into an argument. these days i just avoid him unless we HAVE to do things together. like pay taxes or discuss the family budget. even our kids find ways to avoid him. he doesn't realize his behavior has pushed people away. when i tried to tell him he blames THEM for not accepting or respecting him. "i'm not gonna change!" i can no longer talk to him about any of this because he gets angry, defensive, brings up MY past behavior (all the things i used to do but stopped doing.... yeah that's his weapon of choice.) so please pray for this man. i am TIRED.... frustrated and fed up. i am ashamed and embarrassed to be with him in public. Angry and disappointed in my younger self for being so blind and stupid. but, hopefully our kids will see this mess we've created and learn how to avoid it.
