In all the vids on dinking this is the first time I have heard about paddle tracking. Can't wait to try to integrate this tip. (Wish this video had a few more examples included)🎉

These tips have helped me have a lot more confidence at the kitchen and also keep speed ups in check. Great advice

Tanner deserves credit for articulating how to fix this. I often instruct people to think of their paddle as an antenna when they’re at the kitchen and to track the ball with it as best they can

Love this!! So, I guess the object is to point your paddle at the ball!! Love your videos!!

Question, how do you track at the kitchen when your partner hits, do you follow his shot with your paddle tip? Thanks for the great content
@tanner.pickleball
@tanner.pickleball 25 дней назад
Only follow the ball when its on your opponents side, a lob is unnecessary for height, just focus location.

Great videos! I really appreciate all your tips. My question? How do you "drop" to the forehand side. I have my paddle in the ready position. As you have recommended, but I tend to try to hit a fast shot coming at me with my backhand, not my forehand. Any tips how to drop to the forehand side? Thanks
@tanner.pickleball
@tanner.pickleball 27 дней назад
Only if it is out wide you will go to forehand, otherwise, backhand!

@@tanner.pickleball Thanks for the quick response!! How do I train myself to use the forehand , versus, automatically using the backhand?? Currently, reaction is to use the backhand, and I know it is incorrect and miss hit the ball, most of the time. I know I have to figure this out to improve my game. Appreciate your help!!

So, Tanner... Do we need to have the paddle slightly open to our forehand in your example? What if they speed up to our opposite hip (left hip if we are right handed)?
@tanner.pickleball

Then you will naturally flip!

Question, in one of your other videos, you mentioned if you hit a good dink put paddle face down and shrink the kitchen so you can flick if the return is a bit high. In this one you mention to point paddle towards the ball. When to use which?
@tanner.pickleball
@tanner.pickleball 27 дней назад
The first one is for when you hit an aggressive dink. This is for defending your opponents shot.
