The weird thing about wandering traders is that they're not that useful in a regular survival playthrough, but in most challenges, they're your saving grace that give you essential items for the run
Bro I remember watching a branzy vid of him surviving on a emerald for 100 days so he had no items he waited for a saving Grace the wandering trader that helped him trade his way to full diamond armor and even killing the dragon
@@MelodicBerry lol it's a different colour which looks cool in builds, but the trees themselves are soo annoying, way to cumbersome to cut down efficiently, plus the cherry biome is covered in useless petals which you can't get rid of by placing a block on them like you can other plants, so you have to destroy them all first
You can get the leashes without killing him. Just put the Lammas in a boat and move them away, the you can get the lead without killing anything. Killing them is easier though LOL
I like getting lillypads from him so I can place them on the water blocks in my farm so I don’t step in them and then accidentally break a crop jumping out. It’s a small thing but it saves alot of frustration. I could use water logged half blocks by the Lilly pad fits the aesthetic best
they're actually useful. if you're starting an infinite type survival world and you don't find biomes other than oak, they actually sell you different types of saplings and even some seeds.
For outrageous prices 💀 Whats the point of using other wood when you got oak. It really doesnt matter if it can craft the same thing if a different varient
@@Izzoid45I actually did , I got a world where the desert biome is scarce idk if it exist or not, so in order to obtain a cactus I need him to sell me a cactus, which is yesterday I met the one who sell it
@@Izzoid45Well, actually... I agree with you for the most part, but the mosaic bamboo blocks are just absolutely lovely to look at! Also, if you get one bamboo, it grows crazy fast; and then you can plant each of those, and before you know it, you have an unlimited supply of wood, that does not include any climbing, but just one single swipe of a sword near the bottom! (And it will still grow from just a stump too; Bamboo supremacy!!)
I actually love the wandering trader because when a new biome and wood type are added to game it is very difficult to find them in an already preexisting world. So I just buy the saplings from him. I created a little mangrove garden thanks to one single trade with the wandering trader
I recently bought ma grove and jungle from him as well as cocoa seeds to grow on the jungle wood. I have an amazing world that had dark oak, oak, birch and spruce right next to where i live as well as entire deepslate deep cabe systems right under my base which is a well decorated hole in the ground😊
Wanderer is useful in large biome worlds too! The way they wandering traders work is that they sell items that aren't in your current biome, so all the stuff you would otherwise miss are now relatively easy to get
Ya sure about that? All i get is trash he sells me mellons in my own big Mellon farm, gives me coral blocks which is useless, and trades saplings that I don't need 99.8% of the time 😂so i let the trader live if he sells what I need if not FrEe LeAd and pets
I always liked the fella, constantly wondering in what obscure corner he's gonna show up Plus he usually has the few items I somehow always don't have enough of Also he just looks rly nice, I love his robe
This dude gave me mangrove in my survival (I really like mangrove) so that pretty much saved 3 hours of me riding a horse around my entire world looking for saplings. What a legend, only costed 5 emeralds as well. And before you act like 5 is so much i literally went into a river once, got some clay and I got about 6 emeralds. Guys 5 isn’t much
My man. Sorry to inform you of this, but in skyblock literally all you need for an infinite water source is a water bucket and some bonemeal... put the water so it's flowing into a one block hole in your island then place bonemeal on the inside of that block and seagrass will turn both of the flowing water blocks into full water source blocks, which can then be used to create an infinite watersource in the regular 2by2 formation. Believe me, as a fellow vanilla skyblock player, traveling traders are certainly still useful, as they are how you obtain more lava via dripstone trades.
He's very situational, however when he's in that situation he shines surprisingly bright. Mostly just used for leads and protective lamas (which is also fairly good I might add).
I love wandering traders. Early game, they've brought me saplings and other flora that I can grow in bulk for new building and decorating materials. I get two free leads by penning up the llamas in a fence and pushing the trader around. I get llamas that I can used to live up my stables, etc. Wandy T is the best.
I love when wandy-T visit me, my base feels more alive. Sometimes I get his leashes because he often got separated too far with his llamas. I'm glad that I don't have to kill him.
i feel like they should add cocoa beans as a tradable thing with the wandering trader honestly I feel like it fits with his random assortment of items especially since a lot of them are nature based!!
I play normal worlds and I love this dude. He gave me access to cherry wood and gave me stuff that i had little of. [I had explored 30 million blocks out of the 60 so cherry forests didn't spawn for another 30 millions blocks from my base...]
I always think about superflat worlds every time I kill a wandering trader. I thin "Yeah I'm not in superflat I don't need you now hand over the leads."
Fun fact: There was actually a time I needed the wandering trader! I needed a slime all for a sticky piston for a build, but the problem was that I didn’t know where any swamp was, and I didn’t know how to find slime chunks. However, the wandering trader sold a slimeball for a couple emeralds.
I've always liked the wandering trader honestly, not only is he helpful for when certain biomes are nowhere to be found in my worlds for thousands of blocks, but he's also cute he reminds me of botw npcs :)
I actually need this guy for specific items like cactus, because the nearest desert in my survival world is like 6k blocks away and i don't want to go such distance.
I find them really useful as well because if you're in a biome that doesn't have the trees you want they have you covered I got all types of trees in a Plains Biome because of them
i dont understand why would you waste emeralds instead of just exploring a bit, the only one that would kinda make sense is jungle saplings and even then its a stretch
Tip: if you want to decorate a certain structure, this guy is helpful because if you have leftover emerald you can buy saplings for wood farms, or used for buying foods (I don't know if wheat or raw foods can be in a trade)
Heres the thing. You can trade with them to get emeralds, its a rare trade to find but useful when they have things you want. Mangrove propagules Moss blocks Saplings Coral (useless but hard to obtain) Etc
Plus, with the new villager trade rebalancing, wandering traders are also receiving a makeover, making them more useful with trades such as a single emerald for 4 to 8 logs of almost any type, a few a milk bucket or invisibility potion for a few emeralds or the other way around, and to make up for this, there’s even a rare trade to purchase 4 leads from him with an emerald so you don’t have to kill him for them.
