the other version of this music video was better! but it's been removed :( I remember watching it on The Hits TV at my nans house, it was the video with the shoes that come to life
It grew on all of us!! When they play the same videos over and over, you eventually begin to "like" (tolerate) them. Just like the radio. Kiss FM is a perfect example!
I’ve finally found out this song again! It literally took me ages, but it was worth the effort 😍 I was always listening to it and I loved it then, and I still love it now after all this time ❤️
The best part is the "You Keep Me Hanging On" / bridge part. It was originally made in 1966 by The Supremes. My favourite version of that song was probably recorded by Kim Wilde, but Mark Ronson does a great job of incorporating it into "Stop Me".
Wauw, I just listened to this song with my (wonderful) headphones on and the song is even better than before! It's amazing, all of a sudden I can hear the bass and background sounds, really different. Still great though! Love this song.
This is totally one of my favorite songs at the moment. I like this version better over the UK version of the video. Really I can't wait for Daniel Merriweather's solo material.
Still go back to this song ever so often. Loved it since the first time I heard it when I was in middle school. Remember waking up on a Saturday morning and turning the tv to VH1 when they did video countdowns
Not my usuall taste but a cracking song and super vocal. Couldnt get it out of my head for long time after hearing it when it came out. Just shows how much i like it , a year(nearly) later im still watching it on my favorites.Good job Dan
Daniel Merriweather is amazing! and i love this version of the song! the smiths version is a tad boring, definitely can't dance to it! this one you can't stop dancing!
the whole thing with the slight mashup came from the live lounge on bbcradio1 in the uk, on which artists perform a song of their own, then choose a cover, and somtimes they encorporate small snippets from other songs which adds to the version. thats basically where he got the inspiration from, plus they both definitely fit together in this interpretation.
i like this song cuz last summer, i stood up all night driving around nd turned on mtv nd saw this nd reminds me of that long summer night, mixes well with a cool summer night =)
Yeah for me it was James Thompson. He used to bully me on the bus. I met him when I was older and bigger than him. He apologised profusely to me whilst lying on the ground. I like this song. I love the Smiths, so I am embarrassed to say that I had heard this a few times before realizing it was a cover. And I love the original too, so it must be because it is so different. Or I am a moron and slow on the uptake. Or both.Thank you for posting.
