Loving these contemplative uploads man 🙏 I'm obsessed like many of you guys, and this is all stuff that I too think about everyday (production philosophy etc lol) so I can't express how good it feels after so many years of self guidance, to just sit here and listen to you go through the same thinking process, albeit in a slightly different way, which always helps me unlock some new perspective about music and production. I always leave these talking vids of yours with some fresh insight, which is awesome. So thanks for taking the time to speak out loud brother! Much love 🙏

The ending wasn't a downer at all man. I thought it was a beautiful and powerful message to let out, very heartfelt and real. I'm sorry that you lost one of your best friends in your lovely grandmother. One look at that pic that you posted and I could tell the kind of sweetheart that she is. I'm sure she's always been proud of you and loved you very much. May your paths diverge again in another story ❤

Lol I make music very complicated. I also want to do EVERYTHING from scratch haha. Thank you for sharing your thoughts man! You're on of my fav YT ppl. Much less BS than the other's. There are a couple big heads with hidden channels that have like 5 videos but you're active man. Thank you

My condolences to you and your family for the loss of your grandmother. I hope you fully recover soon, brother. We all leave this world at some point. The analysis-paralysis has been hindering me for years after joining the world of music production. I have almost forgot why I liked making music in the first place. It all happened after watching hundreds and hundreds of tutorials to the point that I've deserted my DAW and binge-watched until last year. I am definitely starting afresh this year simply by producing my first original track and see where it goes from thereon. Thank you for the video!

Thank you Omni. It sucks. A lot of close ones in the past year have either died or someone close to them passed. 2024 is coming off cutthroat af

Good video. It's cool to see that you're getting into hardware. Long time ago I was lurking in one of your streams and mentioned some hardware and you had a pretty dismissive attitude about hardware synths and especially digital hardware synths (which I completely understand). They're definitely a non-essential luxury item, and ridiculously disproportionately expensive compared to plugins, but they can be a great tool/toy for inspiration, spontaneity and (if you struggle with this kind of thing in the box like I do) just committing something to audio and sticking with it to keep things moving. * just reached the end of the video. condolences about your grandmother. all the best to you and yours.

Thank you for watching! Tbh I still do have a dismissive attitude to hardware because of how easy it is to lose your focus (and money) on it. I agree with everything you said regarding the cons and also agree they are fun and in the right hands become an amazing catalyst. The trouble is people not having that wisdom coming into just hardware I guess.

Love your maturity level man. Lol I want to grow up and I don't haha. Idk, it would be nice to have a more clear and sound mind.. Learning to make music has taught me a lot about life, not just the music.. Pretty neat.

One thing people tend to have happen when writing a new idea to flow from the core idea, is that they end up with 3 different tracks in 1

@@Alckemy incredibly fruitful (and usually much faster) process for sample gathering. Another thing I think it has over just browsing through sample banks is that the latter can often feel like labor (at least in comparison) taking a toll on the creative drive/momentum. And ofc depending on the ingredients and the cooking process every slice (no pun intended) of your mudpie can be a totally unique sound bite (this one was intentional) which also helps against boredom both for producer and listener.

Hey alck! Brilliant video really good to gear your thoughts on your experiences n desires on this journey, i hear what u say about artist who are successful through essentially sample pack sounds and presets I think is the point u were making. The way see those is that they're the djs of music production, they can get a vibe with other people's records. N thats great, but others, the more patient and dedicated take the route of the samouri if u get me!? Lol we are Ninja 🥷 n it's a marathon anyway. Along as djs have records to mix and music is being made, regardless if how it's done, inspiration is always the result... you said alot of other great shit too but this is my waffle for today 😊 also I'm sorry for your loss brother, head up my G! 1❤
