I literally HAD to take a step back from social media because I got tired of seeing folks bombard my tl with selfies and ego 🙄 I’ve got family group chats on both my side and my husband’s side of the family and the way we share is just so much more genuine and fulfilling 🥰
I know right! Some people are wayyy to self absorbed nowadays 🙄 or people who post daily.. I mean get a life! Trying to focus more on my own life and protect my energy, less scrolling and taking breaks from social media very often😁 and it feels so good 🙌
Social media is the new internet journal. Everybody and their mama oversharing😅 Private life is a peaceful life. See through social media don’t let it see through you. God bless!
Here's what I find annoying on social media... 1. Photos of what other people are having for lunch/dinner. 2. Overly posted photos of how wonderful their kids/relationships/family are. 3. Photos of people in a hospital all bandaged up for a surgical/in-hospital procedure.
You forgot to mention something incredibly annoying we can all agree with… SOCIAL POLITICS. All the dumb infographics of why band-aids contribute to racism, that men needs tampons in their bathrooms for those “menstruating,” etc. I’m glad my peers have calm down the last year at least. Aside from me unfollowing the majority of them.
Goosebumps.. especially what you said at the end, I loved the example that it should be like parsley. This is exactly how I feel about social media. Like you said, nowadays it's socially accepted to post everything online and I am like, just no, it's so embarrassing. I only post nature pictures, my paintings, that I go to the gym but not selfies or random pictures of myself, more creative pictures now and then, but nothing personal and it feels soooo good to keep things private🙌
that's why it is important to take a break from socials.. so you can think well.. because it's a drug, when you are there often, you'll be part of the pattern/algorithm and copy what others do. what's seems acceptable or what people likes.. you lost the authentic you.. so try not to use social media often.
I’m glad couple years back I did some oversharing and until I realize who cares. So I may post here and there but not a lot like I use to. But social media is very annoying at times.
I also get sick of people posting their non-stop pictures of their "perfect, adorable" babies on social media. In reality, some of these babies look like toads to me.
I love how blunt and real this video was, "No One Cares" is exactly how we feel but when other youtubers do similiar videos, they beat around the bush around it to not seem like we're haters, loved this❤️❤️❤️
I had to come back to this video😅 My sister is on vacation now and from the moment she went on the plane she shares Instagram stories every single day...😒 I don't watch them but every time when I log in (to watch creative stuff like paintings etc) I see that cirkle around her picture and I am sooo done with things like that. This is the reason I deleted facebook. And I have IG for the creative part. I mean I already said enjoy your vacation, why is that not enough nowadays with some people. I mean why do I have to know what she is doing every day, how weird is that. It puts me in a really bad mood those expectations around social media, sometimes I just want to delete it all.
