😆 You know, your little girl could also grow up and sell a lot more music off of post-appearance angst-dad lamentation reverb. Let her darling little blond emo flag fly, Dad.
Guitarist before Phoebe smashing guitars (certain artist): Dude! That was so cool!!! Phoebe doing it: This is sacrilegious, *I'M CALLING THE POLICE!!!*
Came here from Pedalboards of Doom where all the dads are so butthurt that the post had to get removed. Love this and you Nick. Thank you. You killed it. ☠️☠️☠️
pictures of your daughter cracked me up hahahaha. Also I demand a music video for the Raging Cosmonauts (which obviously features the dadiest of dads Joshua Heath Scott). Something that expresses all that daddy angst.
Holy moly. This is going right over many heads based on the comments already. Heaven forbid a female artist visibly have fun paying homage to famous guitar players. They should all be out there studying the gear forums to get advice from the true musicians - middle aged men with pristine $10K rigs at home. Then female musicians would know that they should be working to find that balance point in the middle of the scale where they’re not bland, not too hot, not too ugly, not from top privileged a background, not backed by too many great male musicians who might secretly be doing all the work, and not get in a relationship with anyone too accomplished because that can accidentally make you successful without your own merit too as a female artist. My goodness. Great video! Great commentary! That spy shot when you’re practicing your smashing form on the mattress is hilarious. Your channel is always on point.
@@0megalul309 I feel you bro, she should demonstrate she can play Eruption note for note at twice the speed (and with the period-correct gear) before she' even allowed to conceive a tongue in cheek nod to a bygone era of rock. Right?
quite white knighting for her! She’s a big girl and people are allowed to criticize her music and antics on stage. Should we all be forced to like the same things on life?
For some reason the best part to me was when you asked "is that good? Thanks." At the end. That's a good observation of exactly how people in these interviews act. Lol.
BAHAHAHA Excellent. 57 year old dad here, still stunned at the massive overreaction and double standards displayed regarding Phoebe smashing her guitar. Oh, and yep she is actually a wonderful songwriter. You'd imagine that aspect would be important right?
Wait! She put some fireworks in the guitar to make it look like she is really smashing something. I can’t decide if it’s ridiculous or a cool inovation in the guitar smashing industry.
OK, this is so good. Well done Nick! Also question - how are you/the family enjoying Loog guitars? I've been contemplating getting one for my son (6yo) as he's been really wanting to learn guitar and I think starting him on a small scale classical doesn't have the same draw of something like the Loog electric.
That was both hilarious and creative, which I’ve kind of come to expect from you lately as you’ve been crushing it. And thank you for taking a stand on this utterly ridiculous controversy from a bunch of self-entitled closet sexist cry babies. But the real takeaway here, that I think needs to be addressed - your acting chops! WOW that was good. All the little micro expressions and hesitations...unreal. Is there any type of artistic expression you don’t excel at? Should we expect an interpretive dance about winter snow around an ice sculpture of Venus de Milo with Josh’s face on it next video? (Please do a Venus de Milo with Josh’s face on it)
Dude, Loog pro! You go dad! We have 2! The kids friends come over and try to smash em, but I am always there to stop them. #dadsagainstphoebebrigerssmashingguitarsandotherstoo
This was funny and took a lot of the air out of the ridiculous controversy of Phoebe smashing her guitar. Who cares. This is one of the reasons why social media is such a joke.
This is good lol. Took me about 10 seconds to realize who you were making fun of. And I think #allgenderguitaristsshouldsmashoneguitarbecauseitsfun is a good hash tag🤘
Is is legal to smash a guitar if you have violin and trumpet in your band? And what about if her guitar being a baritone? Probably not the best choice to smash. I’m sure the rock n roll regulators will check this up.
#stopphoebebridgets #dadsagainstphebebridgerssmashingguitars Nick we are all in agreement - no smashing guitars...especially dano baritones. Why so much hate for danos? Smash a Glarry? No even those guitars deserve to be loved and played. BTW, I’ve heard that Pete Townshend regretted smashing his first guitar because after that he had to smash a guitar every night for the show not to be a let down. If Phoebe Bridgers isn’t stopped, there will be no Dano baritones left out there.
When I get my time machine to work accurately I will stop all destruction of musical instruments. Take said instrument and give it to someone who can’t afford it. While flipping off the offending musician. When I get my time machine to work accurately. And not just moving forward in a linear fashion akin to our present past timeline..
the main point people missed is that phoebe is a hugely successful artist and she can actually afford to pay for damages unlike, say, bleach era kurt cobain lol
