The babolat product (you said it right the second time - *babolot*) is actually a tennis brand and what you are using is called a "dampener," used to dampen the vibrations for the strings on tennis racquets, as the vibrations can cause serious elbow injury. Crazy to see two things I love come together! Edit: Apologies! Just watched more of the video and realized that you covered what I said lol

love this, and I don't think that gatekeeping knowledge benefits producers as much as they think it does. Making great art takes a combination of knowledge/skill AND a great artistic vision for how to use it. The latter is the hardest part and not something you can really teach, so giving out plugin names etc isn't going to suddenly spawn a million top tier producers

So I can appreciate all the fun and magic one can have with all the modern amenities of plug-ins, workstations, and you know, RU-vid tutorials that everybody can watch to make anything and everything yourself, I think it’s sad that the most popular music out there requires this level of engineering prowess and detective work to try to get it out why something is great. I guess I have the unpopular opinion that people who are skilled in an instrument and writing lyrics just simply performing is enough.
