I’ve been watching you since the beginning. This is my favorite video. I’m a 4 hdcp and like to shape shots and have been struggling with a draw lately. I will be using this drill this weekend! Thx for the great content as always!

Great drill Mark! I have always been told to shake hands but I've never been able to visualize it. Now you have shown me how. Thank-you. The fade and the draw are just ice cream on the cake. No one has ever made it that simple. Great video.

This is the best explanation iv seen so far that tells me, a relative novice who has only played since last September, why I’m hitting the ball the way I am. Now I can start to practice better and know why the ball is going how it is. Shake my hand!

to quote Mr Chalmers, "You're singing my tune, Mark". Very timely video. I am trying to focus my practice on the range of a morning and I think this will be the drill I use. I am trying to improve this year and have always been strong grip, shut face, steep and held off. I am working on trying to create some more neutral patterns with grip and incorporating a proper release will be an intergral part of that I think. Thanks again for all your hard work! Shake my hand please!

I like that bit under the tree, rehearsing a more shut face low flight draw as well as the short lob/pitch. Many times I get stuck with just one swing type/hand position and struggle with situational shots that require different hand/club face angles. Well done.

Lately, I've been struggling with a big hooks. I know that it's because the face is closed at impact, but I couldn't make it stop without totally screwing up the rest of my swing. So I tried this handshake drill and... yeah... it worked for me. I could do my normal swing but was able to correct the face angle at impact without 6 different swing thoughts going through my head. So simple. Big thanks!

Just did this few weeks ago and fixed my slice. I thought my swing path was bad, but after i got on a simulator… found that wasn’t the case. Whats interesting was my club face was square at contact but i was leaving it open through the strike creating a slice… once I figured out how to turn the club over… slice gone.. now a nice draw. This drill is perfect as im now focusing on a better release and follow through. I think to many “slice” videos focus way to much on swing path/steep angle and not enough on release.

This is part of my problem. For Driver, I know I want to hit up on the ball, but in so doing I often end up with the 'palm up' position as demonstrated (as well as cutting across the ball) and causing a slice. Conversely, when I'm hitting iron shots, I'm trying to hit down, or compress the ball, causing the palm down position and hooking the ball. Not quite sure how to get consistent either way currently.

Ok. I’ve managed to get pretty big in to out. Big push feels comfortable. Do I just go with that. On the rare few times I get back to square I hit a lovely high draw. Which is nice. Unless you’re aiming for a big push…
