I had severals depression, I wanted to kill myself ... It happen during all my elementary school to when I was 14 ..And it's only been 2 years that I finally feel comfortable and now I know how to defznd myself the right way.. I am now 19 and soon 20 ! I wish I had called the cops or told a teacher when I was being abused. I told my friends, aunts, sister, and mom. They didn't do anything. They kept bringing my abuser back into the house bc "he's sober now." I didn't get to have a normal middle/high school life. I was always anxious, depressed, angry, suicidal, every negative emotion you can think, I felt. I always think about what would have happened if I did call the cops. I might've graduated with my class, went to prom, joined some clubs, had friends, found a career I love... To anyone who was in a similar situation to mine, it doesn't get better until the abuser is gone. At the end of the day, THEY are the disgusting ones. THEY are in the wrong. THEY are the ones who should feel ashamed. THEY are scared of YOU speaking up. Don't let them take your childhood away.
@@idkwhoiam1012 my 2 friends where kidnapped and raped, no one wanted to fight for them, they didn't want the police involved because they didn't want to die, nor there parents because they would get disowned, one of there parents found out and she said her mom told her to deal with it herself. My friends and family told me that they are probably lying about what happened, there friend told me that I didn't have to deal with it and that there's nothing to do. I can relate...to an extent but one thing I know is that Jesus Christ heals, He can make all things new. He can make us whole. He restores. Just seek Him and you'll find rest and healing in Him. In Him there's hope. In Him there's love. In Him there's joy and in Him there's peace. Ik because He has healed me and He's still healing me. I did tell and the things they're afraid of happening are exactly what happened. I was blamed and shamed by my family and taken away by CPS while he got to stay. To this day, they idolize him and hate me for causing them shame with my lies about such a wonderful person.
The exact same thing happened to me... The doctors didn't see anything wrong with my body and the psychologist didn't ask any questions about what happened and my mom told me to tell CPS that I lied. We eventually moved back in with him, and even though he left me alone for awhile, it started again. Luckily, with time a person I trust that respects my mental health, I'm doing a lot better. I can't afford therapy, but I'm doing my best. And I hope you're doing better, too.
I’m sorry about that. I bet when and if they see his true colors, they’ll either be extremely regretful about what they did, or they’ll be too shocked and guilty to even say or do anything. But whether you forgive them or not, that’s up to you.

The first part- when she explained why she was scared. It felt like a slap through my face. I didn't know why I was so scared and if my fear was justified. Hearing it that way felt like a part of my child self was relived a little bit.
In my life of 13 years I've been sexually abused by many but when I was 8 or 9 I told my mom about my friends grandpa touching me in appropriate ways. Whenever I talk about it I just feel something I can't explain. But thank god my mom helped me. I'm really thankful of my mom.
I faced abuse as a child but I only told my friends. My mom was super nice after she got mad and hit me though which made me turn it into a secret. Unfortunately, many children are abused with no sorry or explanation why they were hit. I know I’m not alone in this and we all have each other, that’s what matters

@@bamaboo8398 It's quite plausible. Kids who've been abused do often lash out like that. Or he might not have understood what he was doing and why he shouldn't do it, if he got a garbled version of what sex was and/or was spoiled rotten. Depends on a lot of different things.
I can almost guarantee the kid wasn't taught the proper way to do things. It doesn't have to be necessarily abuse. A kid I lived next to tried to have sex with me. He was 5 I was 8,both dudes (not that that made it any difference). He didn't know what it meant. He just knew how to do it from I'm guessing unrestricted Internet access. He was a very sheltered kid,not taught about anything that his parents didn't like. When I told his parents they moved out about two weeks later,in that time me and the kid never spoke. It never bothers me, but I just wonder what would've happened if I was younger than him. And weaker. He did try to force himself but I just smacked him. Would a 3 year old have been able to do that?parents need to educate their kids more on these things. A kid at my old primary tried to rape another student. Kids were having sex in the toilets.
Not telling was the worst thing, it hurt when I did 10 years later but that decade would have hurt far less if I had felt safe enough to. Please please please make your kids know they can always go to you for help, teach them about these things, be open about mental health please because it could save them ❤
I was in one of these situations, I was on my schools baseball team and I was the coach's favorite, one day he asked me to come to his office and I thought we were going to discuss about the upcoming game, but instead he touched me and made me uncomfortable so I ran out of there and went to the principle's office and told her what happened, the next day the coach was fired and arrested, I felt relieved and at peace.
I was raised in a Christian household, where my parents would say if I ever did anything sexual or relationship wise, I would get in trouble. So when I was sexually abused, I was afraid of getting in trouble with my parents. I was 12. I didn't say anything for over 10 years because of it.

i was touched in a way I didn’t want to be touched it was in elementary school and my friends cousins friend (i forgot his name but I’ll call him Marcus.) used to go to the school, one day me and my friend were hanging out near the playground where we always hang out, Marcus came over and started to talk to us, me and my friend got annoyed by him and started to walk away until he touched my butt and also my friends, I didn’t know what to do but my friend went to go tell the TA about this and we went to the principal. After we talked about this my principal told me “I’m going to call your parents.” I was scared that I was in trouble for something I didn’t do. I know this isn’t any kind of things you guys you been through, and I hope you guys get help and you’re not alone. I love all of you guys and you don’t deserve any of this and you are never the problem this happened.
I’m sorry about what Marcus did to you. I bet you thought that it was your fault that he touched you and your friends innappropriately. But now matter what anyone tells you, abuse is never your fault. It’s the abuser’s. They were supposed to take care of you and make you feel safe. If they don’t, then they are in the wrong and you should get away. After that you should find and tell someone that you can trust. Because what if there are other people this guy or gal is with? You need to make the abuse stop for good.

I've never been sexually abused, but I keep feeling sad, I get blamed alot for being oldest. I told my dad a bunch of my problems, he told my mom, and now she mocks me for it. When i tell them anything negative they call me a drama queen.

Im an adult and when i was a kid my bio dad would hit me for being autistic and my bio mom would always regret having me and make me feel like nobody blood related wanted me... I have friends and my step dads family i can talk to now as well as my step dad but he still gets verbaly abused by my mom and he wont leave her because she might kill herself. no one really talks about abuse when it happens to adults... its like we're supposed to already know how to fix it ourselves... but sometimes its just as hard as if we were just kids...
That's awful, but this isn't the focus of this video. There are other things on abuse of adults, but it often is more if not equally difficult for children to get help, and they're more vulnerable. Im so sorry though
I had some trouble with a teacher that did not abused me but harassed me. It happened a few days before the end of 7th grade for me. I was finishing a history test that I was absent for and was struggling badly. My teacher Mr. Sandifur threatened to call my parents if I didn't finish it in 30 minutes and after that he said that if I don't do my work I don't belong in school. I told my friend eva who knew how I felt and my dad who was mad about what he said to me. But we couldn't tell the school about it because it was the last day of school. When he would yell at me and tried to make me speed things up when I was struggling I just want to stand up but was scared because I was thinking he would hurt me even know he doesn't. It even stresses me out a lot.

I am so sorry for what you’re/you have been dealing with. That must be so hard, and I know how much harder it is for a trusted adult to ignore the severity of the situation. You deserve better. I really want to say bring in the police or CPS, but they can be very unhelpful. It might help for the time being to gather a big support group and/or friend group to vent and help distraction until you can leave. Continue telling as many adults as you can but carefully. Never stop advocating for yourself. Start fighting back even if it means there will be consequences. Please stay as safe as you can 💕

I have been telling adults about being abused by my mom and uncle but people either didn't believe me or would turn a blind eye yes it is good to tell someone but you don't always get help and your not always safe

Tell a teacher or the school counselor .better yet 911. Family members are always the worst Choice ever. If you were ever murdered ,it would be more likely your family member. Sexual abuse happens with the family, sofamily is the last place you would want to talk about it

That's why you never tell anyone in your family. Family are more likely to kill you than anyone else. So always be sure to tell children to talk about it with a teacher or school counselor. Never the parent
@@justicemartinez3478 this varies from situation to situation. I am lucky this is not the case for me but I can see where you are coming from. I never needed to in my case though. It really depends unfortunately, good parents aren't universal. But I would encourage them to talk about it to as many people as they can until someone believes you. Because someone in this world will.

Unfortunately, for me, when I did tell, things only got worse and kept on. The worst part is everyone believed me, but told me it was okay because “she’s sick” mentally. Everyone I talked to that was being abused didn’t tell because no one believed them when they did, so they stayed quiet. This is an ideal situation, but unfortunately, not what I’ve known to happen.
You can keep telling people until they are on your side. Abuse is never ok. No one should validate abuse. It is not your fault. And if you can try to get out situations to be around to the abuser until you find someone that help. If you would like you can cut off everyone who validate the abuser, but that is your choice. Someone will believe you. I do. You do not deserve to be abused. And even if there are mentally ill that does not give them the right. They may also need help too. Depending on your situation, you may even be able to make them aware of the issue. Or even help them. But their issue is not your responsibility. It is your choice entirely. But you deserve to be in a better situation, so do what is best for you first. Whether it feels better to find help outside or to help them yourself. But if you can't get them to realize the issue, you can leave them. And just find help for yourself.
What about the times when your parents don't believe you? Or when mothers know it's happening but allows it to because she desperately want a man in her life.
I should have just called 911. That would have put everything into action. I also should have taken photos and videos so I had proof. Because once I did tell, it was my word against the foster dad. They did get their foster license removed. But they did not enough proof to lock him up. One day karma will get him

Sexual abuse did happen to me once when I was younger,maybe like 6 or 7 years old,I was afraid to tell my parents or anybody so I never did,the abuse did stop.😔😔This really helped me.
I have very hard time believing that most of the time, when you tell someone about your abuse, the abuse stops. It’s definitely not true for those who need help the most, kids that have no safe place to call their home, and absolutely no one that would care.
Ok message for all the ones needing help in the comments and don't know who to tell or what to do. Tell as many as you possibly have to so your anguish can end. If it has to be your parents, do that. If they don't care, tell a counselor. If they don't do anything, go to the police. I have been sexually abused by a high school boy who were older than me as a 8th grader when I was 13 and he touched me on my bottom. He forced me to touch the part between his legs by actually grabbing my arm/hand to touch his private parts but I didn’t. We were sitting together in the bus since there were no seats. And he told me not to tell anyone. So, I kept a secret for a few years. It made me feel sad, angry, disgusted, scared, and anxious about it since I thought that something bad would happen and I didn’t know what to do about it so I kept it secret till 10th grade. I decided to tell my mom and she understood me. Only my mom and dad knew what happened. A few years later during post Covid, he dropped out from school and I felt reviled since I was so nervous that it would happen again. Since that incident, I learned a lot about how to protect myself for that if it happens again. I am planning to tell my school eventually so he doesn’t do it to anyone else. I can still remember the trauma and the situation since it is always on the back of my mind. I am constantly looking around to make sure that nobody else does this to me the same way I went through it. I also don’t like being touched on my private parts, my back, or my shoulders since it reminded me of the abuse that I went through because of that person who did it to me and it made me uncomfortable, disgusted, scared, and anxious.

It’s never too late to speak up. Even if it was one time, that’s enough and you should tell someone. It will DEFINITELY be taken seriously. No, it can make things better, not worse. And yes, it will make a difference. By reporting abusers, you not only protect yourself, but you can also prevent others from getting into that situation by making sure the abuser answers for what they did. Just talk to an adult that you trust, like a teacher or a parent (even if it’s your friend’s parent). And if you don’t have anyone like that, call your social services once you make sure that you are safe. They will take it seriously and help
Yes you should tell someone, these people may be praying on someone else now. They deserve to be in jail for their actions. And hopefully you can find counseling or therapy. Just remember it is never your fault. It is the fault of the abuser. And they do not deserve that power over you.

My cousin tried to sexually abuse me and my younger cousin ( she is a year younger than me) I was like 9 at the time he was about 16 it was the middle of the night and he had just gotten home and he was just starting at us he was all was creepy asking if he wanted to sleep in my bed and other things like that he tried touching me and my other cousin stop him tell him to go away ( remember I was like half asleep I could still hear everything happing ) I was really scared luckily he just left my younger cousin stayed up all night she said she saw him looking in and out of his room checking on us tell her to go to sleep but she did not I and thankful for her Me or her could have gotten sexual abused because of him around these years he has been caught touching girls at his schools and look up bad things but no one ever talks to him anymore

That's a really nice thing to believe but not everybody has the same parents. I personally believe that parents or anyone in the family are the last people you would ever want to talk to. You would be shocked about the amount of parents who say the same stuff as you did ,but then break that trust with their child when they either one) don't believe them or two) know it's happening but allow it because they're desperate to keep a spouse. Most of the time it's not the parents motive to protect a child especially if they're a single parent. They say it is but it means nothing. Kind of like how schools says they protect kids from bullying but as time passes, the child learns that it's not true. Same with the parents. I think instead of telling parents ,they should all tell the kids to talk with the teachers or the counselors as will as 911.
