@@Carmelmen1 For the time being.... Until things are safer...I am seeing more nail artists making press on designs, precision them and print them on at home yourself would be relatively inexpensive!
This totally works! I did this technique the 10th of June and it is now the 3rd of July and NO lifting at all. Won’t use nail glue ever again. Thanks for sharing this technique.
The nails didn't even stick when I did this. I went out & purchased the LED nail dryer & the product she recommended - - No luck at all.........Suggestions?
@@tinamarino7269 Something wrong cause it didn't work and my led machine its a professional. I bought the same product and did it the way she explained it and they don't want to stick .What did I miss?
Update: I purchased these items and did my nails.. I'm soooo excited about this method!!! My nails have been on for 2 weeks! They are still very much secure, I think I'm going to have to soak them off. I do everything I normally do. I have a daughter so its double time for me with baths. I wash dishes every day. I put oil in our hair. I can wipe correctly after using the restroom. I also type all day at work. this was the best video I could have stumbled upon!! They also have started to grow out... like having acrylic nails on. Thank you sooo much for this video. It was short and sweet and to the point. It just changed my life!!! I just bought all these items on Amazon! Pray for me!
@@KTH49 hahahaha that was brave to say but appreciated too. I have never used gels because I don't like the frequent exposure to the uv lighting (survivor). But after seeing this, I think it will be okay because its only a few minutes for 3-4 weeks worth the wear. not a bad return. I saw another video where the girl used nail glue, but people were complaining about dark spots on the nail bed after trying that method... I was like "ok. Nevermind for real". The pandemic has made me even *more* of a clean freak, constantly wiping and washing everything.. the excess water exposure had me concerned. I think I will give this a try. Thank you for your comment. I was glad to read it.
The nails cannot be an opaque color however, as the lamp cannot cure through the dark colors, etc… in order for the curing to happen, it has to be able to penetrate through to the glue/gel. In other words, you cannot do this awesome process through nails that are black, blue, red and the like. You can paint them later if say you have the clear full coverage ones…
So if I wanted to add a red polish from this line do I polish it after the base coat is applied over the press on then use the wipe off polish? Or can you add the polish over the wipe off step?
Just bought all supplies and did this the same exact way on Friday. It's now Sunday and the nails are still very hard as rock. And won't budge. I have been washing dishes, cleaning, bathing kids. And they look so good done professionally. I know some people say they tried and one popped off. What I did was make sure my nails are clean of oils. I filed the inside of the fake nail and filed my own also. Then applied the bottom coat and cured under light for 80 seconds each nail. Just in case. Hopefully they last at least 2 weeks. Oh yea and also I bought the clear nails from Amazon. Like 600 nails for 10 dollars. I think If you use anything other than clear nails, it won't work. Buy clear nails!!!
I also banged my nail on the door and nail was so hard it didn't budge. With nail glue I found by second day of doing normal house stuff they started to lift. With this technique they don't lift or budge!!! Feels just like acrilic!
In case anyone is wondering HOW TO REMOVE THEM!! You will have to remove them the same way soak off gel polish is removed. Cut the nails w a nail cutter as short as you can. Then buff/file the shine off of the nails. Then you would do the same removal process as you would with regular soak off gel polish. Wrap a cotton ball soaked w acetone around your nails w aluminum foil. Most plastics will melt w acetone, though it might take longer. If there is lifting try to put some drops of acetone in the space between the plastic nail and your natural nail to speed up the process altogether. Something to keep in mind, unfortunately you cannot do this w press ons if they are painted w very opaque color bc the light from the lamp won’t be able to penetrate the color to cure the gel. But it should work just fine w clear/plastic press ons or press ons w sheer color. Hope that helps! :)
Anyone wondering, it’s 100% accurate I tried with the same products and we slaying for 2 weeks, I can definitely feel how stuck they are Extremely grateful for this tip!
Literally my mind is blown!!! Thank you so much for this because I thought for sure I always needed glue! I love this AND your style... blessings to you!!!
And if you ever find some press on nails like the regular ones that are thinner all you have to do is use your gel topcoat one or two coats will make them harder and thicker!!!
Lauren Correa No you don’t have to use builder gel just use the topcoat like I use two or 3 coats of Apres gel top coat. I mean you could use the builder jail but then you still have to put a topcoat on it.
Been doing this for years and never had one pop off and also doesn't damage my already thin nails the way glue did. I discovered this by accident when my glue dried out so I improvised 😂
@@khadijaahmed6065 a bowl of warm water, a ziplock bag and acetone. Pour acetone into the ziplock bag and put one hand in, put the ziplock bag with your hand inside into the warm bowl of water so the acetone feels warm but doesn't burn. After like 10min pull your hand out and use a cuticle pusher to scrape off the melted bits. It all should come off but if not then just repeat. Gels, polishes, acrylics and dips all come off with acetone. NEVER force the product off or it'll rip up your nail beds.
Hi from Australia 🇦🇺 Thankyou so much for this video. I see you made it last year but am watching in September 2021 because some parts of Australia are still in lockdown from covid so salons have been closed for awhile. What a great hack! This will solve my nail glue problems - from getting my fingers stuck together to evil air bubbles!! Thanks for helping me with DIY nails 😄
Thank you so much for this info... it costs $65 for a set of gel nails And they lift in 3 weeks.. then $40 To fill..WE are now in a recession 2022 in CA highest cost of living..but Now I can do my own nails Thank You! 😊
miss tokyo ホ it’s okay if you don’t but filing the inside allows it to adhere a little better! At the very least buff your natural nail lightly to remove the shine and oils. Also put on rubbing alcohol to remove the dust and it should still work

Guuurrrl. This is the ONLY prep method I use now after watching your video. My nails stay on for 3 weeks, if not more. This method is awesome and I tell everyone about it. Thank you 💗
Hi there. Im richa from.south africa. When it is time to remove it. How do i do this without damanging the nail. Can i reuse it or is it desposible. Also can i paint over it.. My number is 0748917405 from south africa. But if u not from here add a +27 instead of the zero in the start
Pro tip: to make your nails last long its all about nail prep! Make sure you push back your cuticles, and buff your real nails and the fake nail too. Make sure you don't have any oils on your hands as well. If your nails aren't prepped right they won't last long, or one or two will definitely fall off. ❤
Tried this Thursday’s night 7-22-21. Ty so much. Love it. I’ll start doing my nails this way. I’m beyond happy, impress an thankful for this method. 🔥♥️❣️🔥
Omg sis you kinda look like Cardi b (hella compliment) For those of you in the comments saying that in insulting her by saying that she looks like Cardi B. STOP I was literally trying to give her a complement and y’all turning it into something ugly
omg thanks!!! nail glue takes a toll on my nails so this definitely is a game changer for me! thanks!!! I thought it ain't gonna last long, but boy! I've done laundry, bathe my dog, mopped the floor, weed out the flowerbeds and it's still on!!!
Uh oh lol I just purchased a poly gel nail kit so I’m worried 😟 lol I can’t even paint my nails without messing em up so idk what I was thinking when I got it lmao! But I tried press ons and hacks on RU-vid but nothing worked and I couldn’t get my nails to last more than a couple days before they started poppin and rockin right tf off my nails lmao 😆😆 of course I didn’t know about THIS hack till just now! Damn my luck sucks haha
Ditto! I love poly gel, yet I suck at it and I have a hoard of fake nails and that's never been opened. This very video will change the future of my nails. I've bought so many polygel sets... smh and all along I could've been using all this base coat and top coat. I've seen people use solid gel glue so I got some and then keep procrastinating... I'm inspired and forever grateful! Thank you Miss.
Excellent video! A word of caution - don’t try this on painted or nails with color - this only works on clear nails. The UV light has a hard time penetrating the color.
do u know if this would work if you play sports, i play basketball but i wanna have my nails done too! i just don't want them to pop off while im at practice or at a game yk..
Can I just say thank u so much for this I'm so tired of this half a day glue nails popping off 😭 praise u hun 💯 this works better then using the gel 👌🏾🙌🏾
@@thejaisymone oh no. I'm scared to try this now. May ask what color and style nails used ? I heard the color has to be light so im guessing it wouldn't work with the nails with gems 🙄💔
Been doing this with press on nails for months now! Tip: find press on nails that are translucent(jelly colors or french tips are good options!) to cure them thoroughly.
@@BeachBumEvvie The opaque will be fine, but the solid colours are not gonna cure, because the plastic will not let thru the light properly. If you wanna try anyway, just try on some tips first, not on your nails. :) If you want to be sure, cure a little longer. :) (Sorry, english is not my first language.)
So late to the party, I'm so excited about trying this. I have been looking for an affordable and quick way to get my nails done. I don't have the time to sit in salons . This is perfect.
My nails never stay on with glue but I tried your hack. It works so good. I'm going to have to soak them off because they aren't budging. Thanks for this great tip!
Life saver! I’ve been googling about whether this method works and is safe to do and I couldn’t find anything.. I was surprised to see barely anyone else had tried this. Will be trying tonight! x
Sitting here on the sofa with my 8 week old baby boy who is due a nap but fighting sleep. A few mins into this video he falls asleep. Your voice is so relaxing lol
Omggg I'm even more excited to get my nails done, I ordered my first lil kit w/ a uv nail lamp, the gels, polish I got everything else! Now that I know this hack I can actually get these nails did properly!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I have spent thousands on different types of artificial nail kits and in nail salons and on every type of glue imaginable! My skin is SUPER SENSITIVE to ALL nail glues, even the Great Bondini! My skin will blister, turn dark and fall off if I even use a drop of it on my nail. I kid you not. Have even tried the brush on gel kits. Your method actually WORKS! So glad to have nails again!
My friend this is brilliant!! Glue has turned my nail beds in too straight trash. Much obliged for this very helpful hack, KUDOS too you from 1 Queen too another✌ & BLESSINGS.......
Finally a video with things I finally have! Also I hate when people never show them like tapping or trying to pop them off afterwards cuz then you don't know if it actually works but I love how you tapped on the table to show so thank you
Can u use glue stick for press on nails? I think u could but i don't wanna harm my nails since its glue, usually glue isnt really good for ur nails nor skin so can anyone help me out😊
Thank you so much for this video! My UV LED lamp and the polishes came in today. I bought a whole bunch of acrylic nails and I will be trying a set tomorrow. I am super excited. I really hope this works for me! :-) ♥️💕
OMG!!! I have had this exact brand of press-ons for months, and I was wondering if I could use this method! Sometimes I just need to see someone else make it work, so thank you for sharing! PS - You are SO CUTE!!! Lookin' like Cardi-B! ;-)
This technique is so awesome! And I feel like I know a secret! It's so simple, and I wouldn't have tried this obvious solution! It's the most embarrassing feeling when you know that naked nail your trying hide looks so tacky but you still when you grab your change like you got a broken claw
Girl you got me SOLD!!!! I couldn’t wait to the end of the video so I could go and place my order with Amazon for this product. They really need to sponsor you 😊. After I ordered , I then came back and watched your video again 😂. Thank you Rhea you’re the real MVP sunshine 😍👌🏾💅💕🤗
I work in the paint department at Lowe’s and like to wear press on nails from time to time, but I can’t get them to last longer than 5 days. I have to try this! Edit: I’ve worked three shifts already and these nails are NOT budging. I’m constantly touching paint, washing my hands, and wiping them off. I was skeptical, but this works really well, almost too well lol.
Just when I thought there was no hope I love press ons just can never get my nails to last. And I didn’t want to use gel glue because I see some people having allergic reactions. Thanks girl your the goat for this!!!! ☺️
Im definitely non experience. I did this method and it's going on three weeks! I buff my nails first, then I used a primer polish, then I started with her method and hold mine under the light for 60 seconds for each finger. Hope this help someone 🙏🏾
Ya know watching this video was one of the videos that made me decide I wanted to start a RU-vid channel!!! Now I use full cover tips with a gel and I dip on top and it's the best! Thank you so much love!
do u know if this would work if you play sports, i play basketball but i wanna have my nails done too! i just don't want them to pop off while im at practice or at a game yk..
You saved my manicure routine, they stopped making my nail glue and I have not been able to find a good replacement. Accidentally came across your video. This is better then any glue. 3 weeks and still going strong. Love it❣
Thank you so much for this much needed tip!! i was searching for this solution & tried it and it actually works! the nails are sticking as if i used glue
Wow I did not know about this. I just got my lavender violet gel nail uv lamp kit with polishes and everything with it and now I can do that now. Thank u thank u thank u
Wow!! I see this on Amazon and it's a great price as well, I even see I can buy the primer bond along with the top coat - so all three for 12.99, holy crap. Buying it today. Thank you soooo much!!! Hope you come out with more videos, very informative.
So basically its using the base coat to glue your press on nail and curing it under tha lamp. Is there anything i should put on my nail before like a primer? i'm a recent convert to press on nails since quarantine :) Ladies we saving a lot of money ! :D
Rhea…I tried using the KISS French nail tips and followed your directions and the nail would not adhere to the glue it kept sliding off my real nail….what am I doing wrong?
I was just about to buy a $100 polygel kit to solve my issues with acrylic nails, but thought I better check to see if someone has any more solutions to making press-ons last longer. This is IT! Thank you! I was happy with press-ons most of last year as I find they keep my nails healthy, but gave up due to some always popping off in a day or two, and needing to touch up the polish every few days. Bought a UV lamp and gel base + topcoat for $50. This will solve both my issues, as I've never used gel nail polish before :) the polish will last, and they won't fall off! All while still using the cheapest option 💕
Same here! The problem I had was trying to fit my natural nail to the nail extension on my opposite hand (which never worked) and stuck in like 2 seconds- no coming off! Plus 3 of the gel nail polishes I used with my lamp never worked! Spent £60 for a gel kit incl lamp and then another £50 for lamp + £55 for accessories (nail tools, the nails themselvss, electric files, nail buffers and acetone) AND nothing ever worked plus the gel didn't even adhere to my nails and stay on longer than a day! OPI are the worst 🙄 Sold everything for £25 as I had had enough and got refunded for 2 of the gel polishes I bought! That was in April-July 2020. Fast forward to middle of Jan 2023 to now, I decided to buy myself a LED lamp, nail primer, base and clear top coat, white gel polish, gel remover and cuticle sticks etc and have really improved doing my nails! :) I'm glad I practiced painting my nails using my opposite hand *I'm left handed* using basic clear polish, took my time and over a year now can paint my nails absolutely fine! :) Was a learning curve, but so glad I got there! Only way is UP ⬆️🥰
You just help me save $60. And I hate getting my nails done and swore off it. It's just so damaging even when I remove the correct way. I can do 15 though. Great video
